As you touch the crystal a cloudy darkness or shadow fills it. You are able to call up any memories you wish. When you do so they appear above the crystal for all to see. The sounds made sound muted and far away, but can be heard.
She starts with the attack on the town, then fast forwards to the orc camp. Then to the point the field when she had the book and had the "conversation" with the voice. Fast forward after that to the attack on the town by the shadow things.
Once she's done, she pulls her hand away and looks to the party, "Anyone else got something I missed?"
Estellen stares at the images flying by in silent awe, he reaches forward and places his hand on the globe after Violet finishes, "I have something to add."
Estellen your mind wanders before you show what you intended. The first images are of an immense library, several floors tall. The next are of 2 trees, tall as mountains, intertwined with each other. You see a room covered with arcane runes.
And then you manage to focus in on the memories you want to show.
Estellen thinks back to the desecrated church that he and Doc investigated after the attack on the town and the horrors he witnessed there before pulling his hand away from the orb.
"Hmmm..." She sits there for a while, almost to the point of awkwardness before continuing. "I see the old trees are still going strong. Whether we should intervene in anyway will have to be discussed and the phenomenon studied. For all we know this might be the path intended by the universe. I can move you to the edge of the forest should you desire, but that's the extent of it at current." The pedestal then descends and disappears into the floor, leaving empty space between you all.
At a wave of her hand the torches get brighter and brighter, filling the room with a blinding light. When the light fades you find yourselves lying down on the grass, the rising sun warming one side of you. This is odd considering it was past midday when you finished talking. You feel rested and your belongings and companions are slightly scattered around you.
As you look around, you can see you're on the edge of a forest. In the other direction is miles and miles of seemingly empty grassland, if there's a track or road ahead, you can't see it from here.
Violet groans and rubs her eyes, "....I want to be upset, but honestly, it's just becoming perfectly fine that we're blinded and sent somewhere we have no idea about."
(Asaph'il is still with you (the glowing blue giant wolf), as is the cart.)
Given the rising sun, you are able to work out which way is north (roughly), but you see nothing of note in your nearby surroundings. You see a few deer grazing, but no other life. The occasional tree can be seen, but they are few and far between.
Tailine will sit up, still squinting from the sudden bright light. "...Thank you. That was... quicker then I expected." She'll stand slowly, obviously wary of this very powerful being they've encountered. "We should probably get a move on. Time is of the essence, and we wasted a lot of it while we were lost in those woods."

You manage to make to calm it enough as you approach to stop it bolting. It indicates a region, roughly to the North, although it was not particularly precise.

"I think that has told the most important parts of the tale. Would you be able to help us against this threat?"

"That would be appreciated atleast we won't risk in going circles again in this forest"

(do we have the wagon/horses still?)

"Yes, this is all quite disorienting. At least we are free from whatever enchantment was turning us around so much."
I fly up 25' and try to get my bearings as to where we are and if I can tell which direction we need to go.

”Thank you friend.“
Turning back to the others. “They say we should go north.“
"Great. North it is. Let's get to it, I want to get a warm meal and something strong once we're there." Violet sighs and gets back into the cart.
