"Hmm? Not much she is an orphan, we left her with the innkeeper daughter when we left, she probably helping around atm." Jatrin tries to find the inkeeper daughter asking where the girl tiefling is.
Tailine: In infernal, "I do not yet know. But I have feeling it's coming here, to this world from another, as I know of nearly everything that walks this world and this isn't it."
Quilqwen: Spores are so small as like dust, and these are so few in number and degrading so fast it would be pointless to do so.
Jartrin: She points you to the kitchen, inside of which you once again see the young Tiefling girl. She is standing on a stool and washing glasses, bowls, etc. off to the side so as to be out of the way. Her clothes have been replaced, giving her a slightly better look now that she's not clothed in almost rags.
Quilqwen laughs, which sounds like a bunch of chirps, as Jatrin informs them the child they were searching for was here all along. When they enter the kitchen he slowly approaches the girl. His legs fold under him and he waddles closer to her. "Hello fledgling. I am Quilqwen. Could we ask you some questions?"
Before you is a small Tiefling with dark purple skin and dark red to black scruffy hair. Her horns are barely visible through her hair. It takes a couple of goes to get the girls attention, but when you do she dries her hands and sits down on the stool. "S'pose" her voice quiet, barely above a whisper.
'What can you tell me about the temple? I know there was a fire and that Jatrin here rescued you. Do you remember what happened before the fire?" As he talks to the little one Quilqwen starts drawing his marks on the ground again.
Doc will kneel down and take out a piece of phosphorescent moss out of his component pouch, taking the little girl's hands in his and placing the moss in the center of her left palm. He gently closes her hand around it and snaps his fingers, casting Light on the palm of her right hand. He'll cast it multiple times, having the light appear in a different color each time.
After taking some time to amuse the little girl and hopefully get her to open up, he asks, "You must be quite brave, but if you weren't there before the fire, how did you find yourself there after it, and why? Tell us anything you might remember, up to the point you were found by our friend back there." Doc motions over toward Jartrin.
"She told us that went in the temple during the fire trying to rescue people. She described both Doc and Estellen that where at the temple. If what she said back then is true she entered the temple somwhere after you 2 left the temple."
Doc will wave off Jartrin's interjection and continue to keep his focus on the little girl, waiting for her to tell her side of the story. "Don't worry about him. Tell us YOUR story. As I said, you must be quite the brave little girl for you to selflessly rush head first into a fire, looking to save other people."
(I'm guessing since Doc spent much of his early life as a clergyman and already aware of Tiefling's mastery over fire, he also knows that Tieflings are resistant to fire?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Doc finds it strange that a little orphan girl would rush into danger in an attempt to save complete strangers -- especially adult strangers -- so Insight: 18)
Doc will pull Quil aside momentarily, out of the girl's sight. He whispers to Quil in Sylvan, "You mentioned earlier that you saw shadows eerily moving around us, which sounds similar to what Estellen and I experienced in the temple. After dispatching the priest it had previously possessed, the shadow attempted to latch onto whatever else remained living within the temple, the elf and I included. I managed to brush it off, but we were unaware that there was another living thing -- the girl -- with us in the temple. Allow me a word of caution as you proceed with the girl. She seems innocent and forthcoming, but her story just simply doesn't add up."
Doc nods to Quil and makes his way outside the inn.
"Thank you. That is good to know. I am also very happy to hear her say she entered after left and was not in there when you set the fire. I detected some form of disease at the temple but it was faint. I do not detect any on her. Though my skills are limited."
Quilqwen heads back in, again lowering himself down to speak with the girl. "I am sorry I have forgotten my manners. I told you my name but did not ask yours. What is your name my brave little fledgling?"
"Nice to meet you Hope. Hope the Brave. I think you need a proper cloak befitting your bravery."
As they continue to talk Quilqwen uses a combination of Druid Craft, to make small vines and flowers, and removing some of his loose feathers to make a small cape for the girl. He will gently ask her about what exactly she saw at the temple that day. And if she went to the temple often, if so had anything unusual been happening there lately? About the town in general and if there seemed any thing strange? And then he will carefully bring up the dark ritual that the others had found in the temple and the entity that Doc and Estellen reported interacting with. Just trying to draw any additional information. All the while throwing in questions about what her favorite color is and how she would like her cape to look.
She mentions that she occasionally went to see the priest, who gave her some clothes and food, but never went into the temple proper. She had heard that a sickness had been spreading through the town, but nothing beyond that. She knows nothing of the ritual or any darkness.
The cloak ends up mostly green, with some extra colours from the feathers.
”Thank you again, Hope the Brave. With this you are now a member of my flock.”
Draping the cloak over her shoulders dramatically Quilqwen steps back bowing his head and spreading his wings slightly to the Tiefling girl. He then rejoins the others telling them everything he learned.

Ritually casting Detect Poison and Disease
"W'sn't there before the fire" She avoids eye contact, constantly looking at the floor.
(for when the spell is completed, you detect nothing)

As you move to approach the girl she backs away, keeping well out of arms reach. " S'what he said, went in to help, got trapped by smoke."
(It is common knowledge that Tieflings are resistant to fire.)

Placing a hand on Doc's shoulder "Perhaps it would be best if you let us talk to her." He then tries to direct Doc out of the room.
Although quiet, she appears genuine.
"I agree, though I'd like a word in private."
