The creature is fully aware that your group does not belong in the hideout. Jackson suddenly has trouble concentrating, his mind feels disconnected from the task at hand and as if something is attempting to slip in. Jackson must make a deception check.
(If it feels painless, Jackson will actually allow it to slip in, understanding this may be the only way it communicates. He wishes no harm to come to anything that doesn't appear harmful. If he does begin to feel pain, however -- Deception:13)
Harukai sees this unnatural creature lock gazes with his mentor after the telepathic intrusion. What is going on?!! Is this thing attacking Brother Greystone?
Insight: 17
OOC: If he is convinced the creature is attacking Jackson in some strange mental way, Harukai will go after it with a yell and a flying (okay, falling with style) attack from above.

The nothic turns toward Nil and lets out an audible growl. You can see foam at the corner of its mouth and a liquid of some sort dripping from its chin.
Jackson does not appear to be injured by the nothic's stare, but his eyes have a glassy stare and his mouth is slightly agape. He does not respond when you address him.
Sprinting towards the one-eyed monster, Harukai yells, "Release his mind!" and tries to stab his glowing sword right into the thing's central eye. He follows up with a series of rabbit punches to the thing's head, trying to disrupt whatever foul hold it has on Jackson.
OOC: 40' movement rate should get Harukai close enough to attack the weird creature now that it has crawled out of the crevasse. One sword strike, then a flurry of blows to the head.
Sword to the Eye: Attack: 11 Damage: 8
First fist to the head: Attack: 15 Damage: 7
Second fist to the head: Attack: 8 Damage: 6

The monster, surprisingly agile, dodges to the right just as Harukai's sword is coming toward its eye, but takes a fist to the head that it did not expect. The second fist however misses when the monster leans back just out of range.
Nil rushes forward, stiking at the monster with his rapier. His swing is wide though and misses the creature. Nil attempts a dagger strike but the monster is nimble for its size and draws back just enough to void the blade. On its turn it will attempt two strikes with its long claws against the two individuals currently attacking it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Harukai goes after Jackson and Nephrius, so I will make a bit more generic post as Harukai pivots to flank with whomever he can.
Harukai flinches as one of the creature’s long claws scores a hit on his left shoulder. After Jackson and Nephrius take their action, Harukai pivots to flank the creature (if necessary), stabbing once more at its eye and then following up with a spinning kick to its torso.

Jackson stands still for but a moment, contemplating the experience he just had with the one-eyed creature. Tears begins to stream from his eyes, and he falls to his knees as he feels the strength from his legs give out. He whispers, "What if...we're too late? What if...he's already dead? What if...we've already failed, and all this is folly?"
He then looks up to see his new friends fighting the monster that forced him to come to terms with the doubt he's been carrying all along. While he still wishes to personally avoid harming the creature, his desire to protect the members of his company comes before all else.
He raises his arm, still weeping, and casts Bane on the nothic. DC 13 ChaST

Dagger: To hit 2
(Don't know what happened to my to hit there)
Rapier To hit: 12
OOC: @Nilparin, it looks like the forum ate your dagger to hit roll as well, the result of 2 looks more like an off-hand damage roll.
