Shade had left first. He followed Dook's hasty and breathless directions but he knew where he was going.
The Eddon's farm. The trapper's home was deep in the forest but his gentle wife was a regular figure in the Inn. She traded spices and herbs on a regular bases.
The others wouldn't be far behind.
Shade shuddered. Brevila screams of anguish followed by Dook's and Valayx' urgents shouts had been unnerving. It had also left little doubt to the urgency of their reactions.
The connection to their gods made it clear, in not so subtle ways, that something important had happened at the farm. The nightmarish visions were already fading but the message was clear.
They all knew the farm. A single building with a well tended garden next to it standing in a cleared out patch of the forest.
The trapper's family, Rud, Mary and little Joss had been living there for 6 months now with their two helpers Gred and Hytro.
When the rest of the groups arrives within 200 feet of the house Shade steps out from behind a large tree stopping the others from blundering forward. He has had time to make sure that the surrounding area is safe but hasn't cleared the house yet.
(OOC: To make things clear. Those with connections to Gods have a strong feeling that something sinister has happened. The vision clearly show the Eddon's farm is linked somehow.)
Decide how you want to proceed. You can talk here, now. That you have had time to gather your thoughts, without being overheard if someone is at the farm.
"I've got a bad feeling about this." Pipes up the higher pitched tones of the halfling from the back of the group. Clutching onto a symbol that is etched into the style of a parchment, the symbol of Oghma the All-Knowing, he looks to the others. While the breastplate beneath his traveller's robe clatters quietly, the halfling's senses are more trying to work out what is going on in the nearby vicinity. "Perhaps we can make some notes as to what went on here. Oh, perhaps I should check for magic!"
"Aye..." Dook's voice comes out in a disproportionately low rumble. His hand resting on his crossbow hanging from his right side. "A dark shadow hangs over this place. We can only pray that the situation is not as dire as we fear."
"The dark hides little from me, I can get us to the house safely and check within the windows but beyond that I would reveal our presence. Dr. a check for magical traps would be wonderous."
Ward absentmindedly strums a few light cords on his lute, gazing at the house. He may not know much about magic or the divine, but the air felt dead. With a heavy sigh, Ward speaks, "I pity whomever lives here, you can essentially taste the lack of joy in the air. Certainly not a place for one such as my tunes and i."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

The halfling rummages into his pack, picking out a dusty book. "Won't be a mo..." He says as he begins to look up the Detect Magic spell. "Oghma grants me knowledge, and Tymora's on my side. Waukeen keeps my pockets filled, and Mask will help me hide." He hums to himself as he then begins the ritual casting.

Starting at 2nd level when you choose this school, glimpses of the future begin to press in on your awareness. When you finish a long rest, roll two d20s and record the numbers rolled. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with one of these foretelling rolls. You must choose to do so before the roll, and you can replace a roll in this way only once per turn.
Each foretelling roll can be used only once. When you finish a long rest, you lose any unused foretelling rolls.
Bethany hears, coming from within the farmhouse, the guttural but distinctive words of an orc. She can't quite understand the meaning of it because it is still far but the bark does sound like an orc is giving orders.
Though she speaks orc the language is somehow foreign and hurtful to her ears.
Shade doesn't believe that anything is lurking in their vicinity.
Valayx chanting stops and he turns around to see if any residual magic exists. There is nothing around the group but a strong emanating magic seems to come from the farm. (You'll have to concentrate and approach to get a better read. )
"Okay, ready!" The halfling says, adjusting his traveller's robe, he puts the book back into his pack and picks it up. "Shall we away?" If the others don't stop him, he'll wander up towards the house, ready to investigate. (Concentrating on Detect Magic)
Dook touches the emblem on his chest, which starts emitting a soft glow, "Those big uglies are certainly a problem. Doubly so when angry. May the Vigilant One grant favor..." He then touches the hands of Bethany, Valayx, Ward and Shade (2nd level bless)
"Perhaps I can calm them down so they leave peacefully. Oghma's ways knows how to calm an angry fool." Dr. Valayx suggests. He knows the Calm Emotions spell and has it prepared, and it is ready to cast should they be savage and angry.
herbsBrevila looked at the others, drew her weapon and nodded. "Time to get answers ." she said a bit louder than she anticipated.
Valayx and the others move forward.
( I would like a stealth check please. )
The Eddon's house is a two story house with a small cabin used to smoke and store goods. A large patch of earth has been cleared all around it and a small herbs' garden stands, well tended.
The companions comes from the north, the usual road and a small pathway leads to stairs.
(Investigation or Perception checks for those coming in the front.)
