As Zust cried out his threat, a brief moment of amusement, then understanding and fear flickered in the eyes of the kobold, moments before the rapier pierced the creature through and ended it in a single blow.
Crow moved to defend Strife with a harsh attack, but the kobold was too lithe, dodging out of harm's way. Seemingly, though, the fright had caused it to miss it's own attack.
Kaneda pushed off the kobold with his shield, then slashed at it aggressively. The orc blood coursed through his veins, warm and powerful in combat, and with the strength it granted him, he ended the small beast easily, sending it's body flying with his blow.
Shaa raised a hand, arcane energy building as their ice knife coalesced, leaving small white puffs of chilly air in its wake. It flew well and true, striking into the shoulder of the intended kobold. When it it hit, the ice swelled, then shattered, killing it's target. The spray of ice shards wounded, but did not end, two other kobolds near by.
The human man limped down the alley, holding his action to make an unarmed attack against any kobolds who come near his children.
The kobold snarls, seeing many of it's companions fallen. It draws a sling, swiveling about and launching a small barbed projectile at the human one. To Hit: 20 Damage: 5 The woman turns quickly and tries to block the attack with her shield, but the barb slashes across his side, cutting deep into her skin. She cries out and stumbles, but still holds her ground.
Next in the order are Crow, Cora, the two human children, and another kobold.
As Crow gets his footing solid now that the wagon has settled, his arms spin up to the sky and come down elbow to elbow and wrist to wrist, fists close together (his dagger sticking outward). As he pushes his arms out toward her, he casts shield of faith on the injured and surrounded woman, and in a smooth motion, turns to stab his dagger at the kobold in close quarters on the wagon. Attack: 7 Damage: 4

Cora, spinning her blades, weaving in and out of the fray, found an opening. She slashed at the nearest kobold attempting to sever a vital organ.
Main Attack: 14 Damage: 5 Sneak: 4
Ohh, that's gonna leave a mark. She pulls the blade out of the kobold, and followed up with another slash to a different kobold, this time aiming for it's heart.
Offhand Attack: 7 Damage: 6
If my first hit is enough to kill the first kobold WITHOUT sneak damage, then apply the sneak damage to the second offhand attack to the different kobold. That should be enough to drop two of them. Two hits, 9 damage on one, 8 damage on the other.
The woman pauses, her eyes lighting up as the magical shield is cast over, shimmering faintly. "Who—thank you!" she shouts, too focused on the remaining kobolds to figure out which one of them she was actually thanking.
Crow stabbed one of the bleeding kobolds, dropping the creature quickly, leaving only two of them left.
Cora leapt into the battle last, startling one of the non-glowing kobolds as she slit it down the middle. She turned quickly and attacked the second one, both attacks ending another kobold.
With that, the eight kobolds lay dead in the street, twitching slightly as the last of the energy dissipated from their limbs. The human woman let her small wooden shield fall, grabbing her daughter in a tight hug, motion for her husband and son to come back. "Thank you—thank you," she said quickly, visibly exhausted, yet, relieved. "My name is Linan Swift. I was trying to get my family to the keep to hide but these things attacked and—we still need to get there," she said, shooting a wary eye skyward, her composure starting to slip. "That dragon—and there are still monsters and cultists everywhere, and my husband needs medical help."

Hearing that there is a keep, Zust will step forward whike wiping the blood off of his rapier before retuning it to the sheath on his hip. "If there is a keep that would be the best place for your mate to seek medical attention unless one among us is skilled in the healing arts." The golden hued kobold says as he turns to look back at the rest that had fought along side.

Looking around for any other danger, Crow will hop down from the wagon, sheathing his dagger after wiping it on the creatures clothes. Holding his hands up as he approaches the injured woman, Crow reaches up to shake her hand and whispers, "rafanu," casting cure wounds11
"Ma'am, what is the best way?"
"My golden shimmery friend if you have your kit, I can try to heal her husband as well."
Starling runs her fingers through her hair with a sigh. That went smoother than expected. She sent a worried glance over to the man and children unable to really help him having no healing abilities of her own. She would rejoin the group just as Crow started questioning the woman.

She gave Zust a cautious look, but despite the fact that he was a kobold, she seemed to decide his actions had proven himself already. "Yes, and it should be the safest place in the village—" the woman stopped, turning to Crow with grateful eyes as the blinding on her side slowly trickles away, the wound sealing up. "Thank you—I, the keep, right, right—" she raises a hand, pointing deeper into Greenest. "It's that tower over there. The fastest way would be just to go straight to it, but we'd run the risk of running into more kobolds, or the cultists running around."

"Is there a quieter, safer route? I'm a bit slower, but my crossbow can make up for that. I'll stick with your husband and the children." Turning to the others, "Who wants to lead the way?"
"The are plenty of alleys and back streets. Since it's the center of the town, any road that isn't leading out of the town should curve back to it eventually," she explained.

Zust will nod to the woman since she seemed to accept that he was there to help rather easily, his eyes moving around their surroundings. "If we did not have to escort you I would be the one leading the hunt for more of the kretins and these cultists. For now though it is wise to take a street that will get us to the keep quickly." Cora wipes her blades clean with a cloth, sheathes them. She takes a look to make sure no one sustained any serious damage. It didn't look like anyone had. Her eyes linger a bit on Starling and the Tiefling. She found both of them interesting for different reasons. "You." She said to Starling. "Nice shot." Turning to the Tiefling, she just looked her over and smiled. We have a few things in common, her and I. Curious.
Not caring too much about the villagers they saved, she looked up into the sky and the town to assess the situation.
"I can scout ahead if we don't wish to take the direct route." She offered. "Come. We all stay together, and stay frosty. I think I know the way."

Zust nods at what Kora says, moving to be quiet as he begins to lead. He pausing to speak he looks to Cora. "Go scout if you beleive it is worth the effort but as you said it is a better choice to stay together." His attention then turns to the woman that had been protecting her family with the spear. "If you know the way the you should lead or at least walk in step with me."
Crow will hold the husband and children back about 10 or 15 feet at all times, more often than not facing the rear with crossbow both up and ready to fire.
