Diadochi Swings his war hammer and Attack: 19 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. hits maybe?
so cool thing is that you can edit the message with out editing the roll it'll keep the original roll and not flag you for editing the die roll, and now I have no idea why the attack isn't doing damage.
Ok I think I need someone to walk me through all the blank boxes. On the combat page I assume in the combat modifier I put +4 in for my shortsword attack +3 for Hit//DC and +1 for piercing. Then in the Damage dice box I put 1 because I'm rolling one dice for damage. But somehow I roll a 24 and do 2 damage? I still don't get it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Attack: 15 Damage: 5
Attack: 9 Damage: 5
Now I'm just plugging crap in and it seems to be working but then I realize that I keep getting 5 as an end result so I did it wrong again. I really have no idea what I'm doing lol.
Also deleting posts doesn't seem to remove it from sight. It still shows a post was deleted which is silly.
I think you need to type in the kind of dice it is. So attack bonus is the total bonus to the d20 to hit roll. The damage needs to be done not with the amount of dice, but the actual die. (1dX instead of 1.)
So I'll use a example of combat with the roller, with Rain Falling on Leaves.
As the Combat breaks out, Rain sees the wolves running to the horses. Pulling out a shamrock and tying it to his quarterstaff combined with a few druidic words, Rain casts shillelagh, before rushing in and bashing the nearest wolf over the head.
Shillelagh Attack: 6 Damage: 4
So what we have is, initative roll (so I know when your action will go), a bonus action (casting a spell), moving (cause we're going to just assume that needed to happen), and a attack roll. Rain maybe first or last in the round, won't know cause I haven't seen how everyone rolled yet. But, we can get a sense of the entire "what would Rain do in 6 seconds." Me the DM will put it all together and try to maximize it for you guys.
