Heaving herself to her feet, Yaalin scoops up a nearby rock uttering a few words a soft aquamarine light begins emanating from it. heading out holding the stone out in front of her, light glinting off the gauntlets on her hands, reaching the entrance of the larger cavern she ventures ahead of the others letting the light reveal what is in the cave.
Yaalin looks over at the nearby rock, then notices Diadochi looking between a torch and his blinking eye-ball orb. Yaalin, instead of casting light on the torch, touches the blinking eye. It rapidly blinking a few times as the soft aquamarine light spills out. Bright for 20 feet around Diadochi, then a fading dim light of shadows, followed by darkness. Abigail, taking up the front, and Lafetha, taking up the back, have their darkvision to keep looking around.
Slowly, the group heads into the cave.
Area #1
With the light, you look around the room. Marble floors and statues appear to be melded into the stone. Shards of tile from mosaics that once were on the rock walls are blasted about. Kicked into small piles and used now for making cutting tools. A few goblin warmasks hang on the walls where rocks jut out. It's a odd and eerie sight; the fusion of a natural cave and seemingly what was once a decorated place. Upon first glance you do not find anything of note or importance though, as you investigate the room.
Goblin words echo from further down (directions towards 2 & 6). There's also some low growls coming from behind (5), but it's a bit too far away to see without possibly getting caught
Having attuned to the shielding eye Diadochi wakes up and he's covered in white hair, "This happens for some loxodon, in fact it happened to me when I was in the upper mountains with my aunt Pontus, but that took several months and there was an uncomfortable stubble period. Once we get back down to a more normal climate should fall out naturally. More importantly We are in a cave of pure darkness with an unknown number of hostiles. The best way moving forward as I see it is Abigail keeps to the shadows as a scout, I'll carry the light so I'll be the first thing the hostiles see and probably want to attack first up in the front proper. If you want to stay by me I can protect you with my shield, though being out of sight would also work I suppose. Sim, I think we need you in the back giving ranged support from the shadows." When everyone is ready to go Diadochi will head up front.

From 5: There’s a soft growl and whining. You guess there’s some kind of wolf pen up there. From 2: You hear low pitched voices speaking to each other in goblin. Along with the sounds of stones hitting wood, although it’s faint. From 6: The sounds of goblins, but it’s a bit too far away and with too much echo to make out anything.
From 5: There's soft whinging and some growls, along with the sound of moving wood. It’s some kind of wolf pen. Based on the footsteps, at least three of the wolves are loose. The creaking wood is probably some kind of pen for the other wolves that stay there. From 2: You hear 5 distinct, low pitched voices speaking to each other in goblin. Along with the sounds of stones hitting wood - could be a table - before being rattled around and tossed again. The voices seem to follow some kind of pattern, as if they’re playing a game. From 6: The sounds of goblins, lots of goblins, but it's a bit too far away and with too much echo to make out anything.
Sim takes a look at the ground... (Survival 8)
The hard stone doesn’t leave tracks very well. While this place has been taversed frequently, you can’t make out by how many creatures.
Diadochi will head towards 2 making a show having his war hammer by his side. If he sees goblins He'll stay about 30 feet away "Hello, my name is Diadochi, I"d really like if you didn't attack us so we can help you with a plight I keep hearing about."
This section of the cave has a more decorated feel to it. The floor is still the rough and jagged cave flooring with parts of tiles mixed into it. Abigail is first to see the five, tall, broad goblins sitting around a table. Tossing down dice as they play some kind of gambling game with what looks like teeth as tokens. But Abigail also kicks a few rocks which cause them to stop their game and notice the group coming over.
They stand from the table; each of the five figures glad in ring mail. A few grab their shields off the floor along with crude metal swords.
By the time Diadochi comes around, they form a circle in the dim light. Looking around the group and giving some space. Their skin is a ashy red. Eyes similar to the other goblins you met, but they’re all far taller than the others you’ve met. Each standing well above five feet, more similar to human heights.
Their low voices continue to talk to each other. Seeming to step into the light and out of the light radius near Diadochi, as if tempting him to do something. Or give the illusion that there’s more of them. Both Abigail and Lafetha can clearly see the five of them.
In Goblin:
”I suppose if we take them, they could be trophy’s to bring to the King.” ”That assumes the King wants us to have bigger commands.” ”How about a wager... five teeth to whoever fells them.” ”Five? There be five OF them. Three teeth a piece per head.” ”Three is fair.” ”Agreed.”
The goblins that stay in the light draw their blades. One of them giving a sword salut to the group, before dropping into a low stance with it’s shield.

Round 1 (Begin)
Setup: Diadochi and others are about 30 feet away from the five hobgoblins who have just drawn their own weapons. Abigail, originally trying to sneak into the room is about 20 feet from them but it’s clear that she’s been spotted too.
Diadochi shakes his head "it doesn't have to be like this, but it always goes this way.your under and evil influence and we're here to help.... oh never mind." He gets into a shield stance taking the dodge action staying close to Yaalin and will use protection fighter on the first attack he can.
(On initiative 14 - will edit if actions fail due to initiative order changes)
Hobgoblin (A) moves to engage Diadochi: Attack: 7 Damage: 9
Hobgoblin (B) moves to engage Yaalin: Attack: 9 Damage: 9
Hobgoblin (C) moves to engage Abigail Attack: 9 Damage: 9
The remaining two Hobgoblins (D & E) move out of the light source, circling around to the flank. (Only Abigail and Lafetha can see them. All others have disadvantage on their range attack rolls).
Summary: Lafetha, right off the line tosses out a thorn whip but her target steps to the side with a quick cut of it's blade, dissolving the magical tendrils before they could lash out. Abigail steps to engage one of the Hobgoblins, striking at him only to find her blades striking it's shield. Diadochi steps back, closer to Yaalin, giving her protection with his shield while waiting for his opponents to advance. The Hobgoblin on Abigail fails to land a blow against the nimble Tabaxi. While one Hobgoblin begins to move against Yaalin, it's sword being parried by Diadochi who quickly turns his shield to parry the one coming after him. The remaining two circle out of the light radius, sinking into the shadows as they move to the rear of the group. Sim fires off a arrow, it bouncing off the armored plates of one of them. Yaalin casts, sound simply stopping for the fight. All around her just a odd void of silence.
Round 2 (Begin)
Setup: Hobgoblin (A) is fighting Diadochi, Hobgoblin (B) is fighting Yaalin, Hobgoblin (C) is fighting Abigail. All three fights within 5 feet of eachother. Hobgoblins (D & E) are in the shadows outside the light that Diadochi carries (Disadvantage to attack unless darkvision, or they step into the light). 20 feet around Yaalin, all creatures are deafened, with no sound escaping or entering the invisible sphere.
It's clear that Diadochi is going on a monologue but no one can hear it because he's in the silence zone. He swings his warhammer down on Hobgoblin A and will use protection fighter on the first attack on Yaalin. Attack: 16 Damage: 3
