Yaalin raises her shield advancing into the square once more, prepared to act but seeing the warriors fall, decides to wait. Hold action ((cast shield of faith on anyone attacked by the runed warrior))
Summary: The Rune'd Hn'ti warrior changes form, and moves 40 feet closer to everyone. Diadochi moves towards Abigail, calling out to her to strike. Abigail strikes out after hearing Diadochi, slashing one of the warriors across the stomach in a lethal blow. Lafetha takes aim and fires off at the Rune'd warrior, but it's constantly flickering and moving makes the shot go wide. Abigail takes a step towards the other two warriors who are slow to react and bring up their weapons - bringing one short sword into the chest of the first, and her off-handed blade across the face of the other. Sim takes a look at the Rune's of the warrior, trying to figure out what they may be for. Yaalin, who's still near Diadochi, holds a spell and readies herself for the fight.
Arcana Check
Sim, you take a look at the beast. It's glowing runes faintly visible on it's armored hide. You don't think this is natural. Thinking back, you remember sensing a abberation on the mountain; a creature from beyond the planes. This is most likely it. The runes on it's body some kind of magic to maintain some kind of control of the creature the Hn'ti has merged with. But the way it moves, you think it's body can change and reach out further than it seems like it could. And the way it's quills on it's arms look, they're built like projectiles; not for defense.
Setup: The Rune'd Hn'ti warrior is in the open town-square. Abigail is over on the East, about 80 feet away from Rune. Diadochi is moving around the outside of the market, continuing to head towards Abigail (20 feet to Abigail, 80 feet to Rune, 60 feet to Sim & Lafetha.) Yaalin, originally having moved closer, begins to head towards the beast (70 feet to Rune, 50 feet to Abigail, 50 feet to Sim & Lafetha). Sim and Lafetha are on the South Side of the market. (110 feet to Rune, 80 feet to Abigail).
------
Rune continues to flicker (Disadvantage on all attacks against Rune). Seeing the scattered group ahead of him, and the incoming Yaalin, there's a bit of a laugh. The beak-like thing on it's face vibrating in sound as he steps closer to Diadochi and Abigail (40 feet closer to Abigail and Diadochi, no change to others.) It points it's quilled covered arms towards the two, as they fly off. Thousands of them streaking through the air at the two closest together.
(Diadochi & Abigail: DEX Save, DC 13. Success take half of 13Piercing & 26Poison)
Diadochi tries to minimize where the quills can hit him 15 But isn't fast enough, taking a face full of quills he feels the poison seep into him. On his turn he charges towards the quill monster and use the Dodge action. And takes Breathe in.
We see a younger Diadochi around several other Loxodon peers each one drinks from a vial with a dark green liquid in it. Several of them fall over unconsciousness. The other surround the fallen, facing outwards. a harsh voice (the one we saw Diadochi mimic earlier when he was yelling at Sims) calls out "Get ready lads, a Loxodon who allows a small thing like poison to keep them from Prakan-Dek, is not a Loxodon." Young Diadochi's vision blurs out of no where a practice hammer hits him across the face and he falls to the ground. Before he passes out he hears "Your not a Loxodon yet, but you will be."
In present Diadochi breathes out and says "Such a small thing, poison." and then uses Second Wind 10.
Pain sears through Yaalin, as Diadochi takes the full brunt of the quills, The light in her hand growing to a more aggressive hue it hurtles from her hand at the creature, her eyes glazing black as hatred begins to boil up against the Hn'ti.
Summary: Rune fires off a cloud of quills; striking Diadochi (19) and Abigail (KO'd), and injuring Yaalin with the mystic reverberation (19). Diadochi steps towards Rune, getting his second wind (+13) and getting into a defensive stance. Lafetha fires another wide crossbow bolt. Sim fires off a arrow, striking Rune (8, hasn't been harmed so no colossus slayer). Yaalin fires off a guiding bolt, it striking Rune hard in the chest (19).
Setup: Rune is in the market-square. Diadochi is about 10 feet away from Rune, and about to step into melee combat. Sim and Lafetha are on the south side of the market. (About 110 feet to Rune & Diadochi, 80 feet to Abigail.) Yaalin, who's 20 feet from Rune, is also about 20 feet from Abigail. (Abigail is 40 feet to Rune.) Rune still flickers about (Disadvantage), however, the the bright beacon of guiding light will help the person who strikes at him first. (Advantage on 1st attack against Rune.)

Rune's quills are slowly regrowing before your eyes. Seeing Diadochi step up, Rune whips his arms towards Diadochi. The arms seeming to expand and reach out within the 10 feet that he's in, attempting to pierce with the physical claws and smash with it's brute strength.

You hear the words "I WAS THERE" over. And over. And over. And over. All while your vision fades and you find yourself looking down and around. Off in a dimly lit tunnel. There's a sense of dread. A sacrifice that you know you'll overcome, but, the cost is high. You glance down, noticing a spear in your hand - the tip a crimson red. Glancing back over, a dying Hn'ti. It's eyes not cloudy, but more human like. Two spear wounds in it's chest. It's your son. And you're the one who did this.
"You're wrong." Your sons dying words as he collapses to the ground.
You turn back, seeing your pregnant wife. See too dressed for battle, along with the others. While you know that you own child will be born into pain, there's a deep belief in Yeth. The druid will help. The druid will help make it so your child isn't born weak. That was Yeth's promise for this sacrifice of blood and magic.
"Let's move." You feel your mouth open to speak, but it isn't the voice of Diadochi. You gather the warriors, and the other children. Moving through these tunnels and passageways. Away from the Alter, where the others are still fighting. Preparing to sacrifice in order to make sure she never comes back. You're leaving with the children she took, and those who's mind she didn't fully corrupt... like your eldest son...
There's a false wall. Opening it up, you overlook the mountain. Glancing down, it's a day's climb. There are small tunnels carved into it... it's how you and your warriors came up. Some attacked from the Town of Hope at the base of the mountain. You all came by the rear. It's more dangerous, the battle is too heavy to get your warriors, and these children away. You begin to assist those going down along the path. There's only so much rope. Glancing back down the corridor, you see the shadow of the beastial form of your tribal leader. The Ascended One. The man who braved the Tomb. Hyun'Thi the First. The memory begins to fade as you remember climbing, and some of these brave people falling to their deaths...
turn to the mountain, staring off. Weapon falling to his side as his eyes turn a cloudy white.
Summary: Rune takes a slash at Diadochi with his two arm-whips, striking him once with a resounding thud (12), and due to Diadochi's shared connected Yaalin sufffers some of the damage and collapses down on to the ground. Diadochi feels overcome by something, and looks off to the mountain. Abigail coughs up some blood, still out cold. Lafetha speaks out to Yaalin, the mystical druidic energies swirling around her and healing her soon after she collapses (+8), then takes aim at Rune and fires a crossbow bolt at him, grazing his shoulder (4). Sim takes a shot, but it goes wide, striking where one of the flickering images of Rune was. Yaalin stands back up, and begins to move towards Rune (15 feet) while channeling her divinity and healing herself (+4) and Abigail (+11).

Round 4 (Begin)
Setup: Rune is 10 feet away from Diadochi, who's currently stunned and still looking off at the mountain, in the market square. Yaalin is slightly in front of Diadochi, about 5 feet away from Rune. Abigail, who's now brought back from the edge of the grave, is on the ground about 40 feet away from Rune. Sim is still 110 feet away from Rune, towards the South. About 100ish feet away from Rune, and 45 feet away from Abigail is Lafetha, skirting around the Southeast. Rune is still flickering about, imposing disadvantage as he's never quite in the same spot at any given moment.
Diadochi: Stun ends on the beginning of your turn, giving you full actions.
Rune: Breath Weapon recharges on 6: 2
Rune tilts his head, seeing Daidochi's eyes turn. But the crossbow bolt that grazes him from Lafetha catches his attention, only to turn and see Yaalin coming after him. Again there's a bit of laughter from the beak-thing. Then some muffled words that hiss out. While the language barrier is still there - Yaalin can feel the overwhelming arrogance from the creature as it attempts to slash at her; arms whipping around towards her.
Yaalin raises her shield advancing into the square once more, prepared to act but seeing the warriors fall, decides to wait. Hold action ((cast shield of faith on anyone attacked by the runed warrior))
