Along the walls are tunnels, dozens of tunnels. All leading to different paths of the mountain. One of the tunnels seems to lead up to a set of metal bars, and then falls deeper through the floor you're on. It's probably the same excrement chute from the first floor (area 11). You all did see Goblins scramble into some of the tunnel networks at various times, and even the Elder mentioned something about having a few kobalds carve them out. Alul referenced them too.

However, the room itself could be useful as a escape route for anything goblin sized, or smaller. The Hn'ti - or even you all - would find these tunnels difficult to squeeze through.

Abigail scurries around in her spider body, mortified and fascinated all at the same time. Seeings how she is now unable to take out the Hn'ti, and unsure what to do in her new form, she follows Lafetha-der... because she looks like she is a natural in this form.
Lafetha, you think last few tunnels will lead you down further into the mountain and back out. The others probably link up to different parts of the first floor, able to get people from this one section back and forth quicker and easier. For a goblin that is.
Sim, you look around. The tracks are faint. Imprecise. There have been creatures moving around these tunnels within the last 24 hours. But, the exact time frame, or how recently aren't easily visible on the rock surface.
Lafetha uses her spider legs to signal that we should go down one of the pipes to the where the office is and explore more. She walks up the first pipe and points, and starts to move down it. Hoping that her guild mates follow her.
Lafetha takes a quick look down the tunnels, before realizing that they don't go to where she was thinking. Heading back out, the (group?) skitter down the hall. The Hn'ti not too far behind. stopping and checking all the areas. Scouring for any bit of information or something to find. Clearly out on a hunt. Or cleanse.
You head over to the secret office room. Two unopened chests are somewhat hidden behind the desk. The third having been opened by Sim, the scorchmark still on the wall. Two bookshelves hold some minor trinkets and a few books. A desk is between the bookshelves, somewhat against the far wall. Papers and scrolls unfurled on top of it. A large locked tome sitting on top.
Lafetha notices the papers and scrolls. She crawls over and up the desk to see if she can recognize anything on them arcana7
Reading as a spider is proving tricky. Heading across the scrolls, you're unable to deduce what they may be referencing. The images only coming in parts, rather than a collective whole.
Sim goes with Lafetha to read the documents and find any notes on the kids since he speaks goblin it should help if Shale wrote in goblin. Arcana 16
Sim, you trace over the diagrams and written parts of the scrolls on the table. There's a lot of information here. Your best guess, this has something to do with the ritual Rot was doing in the main chamber. But it'll take days of studying to begin to figure out what it all means.
Diadochi stays with Yaalin and tries to find her and aphid to keep as a pet in hopes of cheering her up. animal handling22
Diadochi, you find some little other kind of bug. Tapping it with your legs to corrale it into a corner with what you feel like is Yaalin. Hunkering down in a corner of the cave.

As Abigail crawls and skitters around, there's nothing truly of note. One of the chests is open, while the other two are securely locked. The book on the desk has a large metal lock on the front of it, making it hard to read or see what it may be about. There are some little trinkets that are symbols of the Faith. Nothing quite on the range of a key. Or a specific clue.
