"I'm not a cook, really, but I know how to warm your rations up if you like," Kalahari responded to Quoren. As Wilfred spoke up, she listened, nodding with a slight frown. She stole a quick concerned look at Ganathor. The idea of anyone splitting off from the group in a storm like this seemed risky, concerningly so. She nodded, turning her attention quickly back to Wilfred. "No, I'd be happy to help if you can put me to use," she said.

Wilfred was happy to hear that others were willing to help him. He was still somewhat puzzled by their task though, and , half asking himself, half addressing the group, mumbled: “If we’re here only to scout, we’ve done our part, now that we’re within sight of the Orc camp. Hardly doubt that command would send an entire squad just to report on an enemy unit’s location though, particularly now that resources are stretched as a result of the Southern campaigns... Just really hope we’re not going to end up as the first breakwater against the Dark Tide... again...” As he trails off, he pulls out his flask, and takes two long pulls from it. He returns the flask to his belt, and stares absent-mindedly into the fire, clearly lost in thought and haunted by memories of earlier service.

To Quoren: "Of course, but the sooner we get this over with the sooner we can all be sleeping soundly in our beds, without the risk of orcs in the night."
To WIlfred: "Stay behind. If we're going to do this, halfheartedness isn't going to cut it. We'll get a rough estimate of their numbers, try and find any orcs that appear to use magic or lead, and see if there's a place we can sever their supply lines and then we get out of here as fast as our legs can carry us."
To Kalahari: "If you can use that magic now, it'd be quite useful. The storm should hide our movements for now, but when it dies down we're going to need to be as stealthy as possible."
To the group: "If none of you are willing, I'll go on by myself. The cold never bothered me anyway, and the storm will keep me safe. Wait for me until tomorrow night, if I'm not back by then I'm dead or captured and no use to the rest of you."
Ganathor then passes the map off to Wraith, tells everyone how to make and maintain the fire, and pulls out his disguise kit and begins to disguise himself as an orc. (What do I roll for this?) He'll also attempt to disguise anyone else who volunteers. He then mutters a short prayer under his breath and begins to head out.
Wilfred bristles at the accusation of cowardice, but doesn’t waste his energy on a pointless battle. Instead, he turns to Kalahari, and with a grunt that was probably more gruff than he had intended, he says: “Just make sure you got enough juice left to patch the others up when things get bad. I suggest we use my kits first, but should I run out, or encounter a bleeding that I can’t stem, you’ll be their last hope.”

As Ganathor finishes up the disguises, he will remove his leather armor and cut himself across the chest, covering the edges of his handaxes in his own blood. Then he'll head out, bringing whoever else is coming along with him. Roll for disguises (apparently this is intelligence, which is not great): 20
As Ganathor heads out of the camp, Wilfred is scrawling on a piece of parchment, working out a guard rotation, and outlining various duties for the shifts.
”Quoren, you wanted to take first shift, right? Venture, you staying in the camp or heading out with Ganathor, Wraith and Kenley? What about you, Xerlax? Guthric, I could use some heavy hitters here, should we be attacked or need to send aid to Ganathor.”

What's your plan for diaguising yourself? Do you think you'll just walk in to their chief's tent and get everything you want?" Gathering his things, Guthric is bundled and ready to leave sans burdening equipment.

Ganathor, noting Guthric's objections, "One, this is the best time for some of us to go ahead. In this storm, we can easily hide from their army, but their army cannot hide from us. Two, if we've already been found out then only some of us will perish horribly instead of all of us. Three, the disguises are our last resort. Best case scenario, we get there, find out what we need to find out, and get back without being spotted. If we can win a fight without causing any alarm, that's our second option. If we are met with force we cannot hope to match, we attempt to deceive our opponents until we can escape. Do you take me for a fool?"
Ganathor's disguises are pretty good, actually. So long as you didn't look too closely, everyone could pass for orcs at a glance, and the flickering shadows from the fire combined with the storm aided to the disguise.
"I don't take anyone here for a fool, short of that we're all out here in a storm. I'm only saying the few do better when they let the many think they're strong. If we hit over and over in small raids, we'll wear them down and make them panic over every branch snapping at night." Guthric's plan is only supported by a cold resolve.

Wilfred looked at Quoren and Wraith: “Well then. Seeing as I’m pretty blind in the storm, I can take whatever watch remains, but for now I’d suggest that Kalahari and I take the first shift, to make sure we’re set up in case we need to treat any wounded. Second watch for Venture and Kalahari. Third for Venture and Quoren, and Quoren and I’ll take the fourth one just before dawn.”
“Guards need to make sure that the fire stays lit, and a pot of water, not frozen, is nearby in case we need to leave camp in a hurry. Two per shift, that way we’re less likely to have anyone fall asleep. Sound like a plan?”
