Final Initiative Count: Rider, Ceasar, Krag, Gnolls, Nuur.
The rider flies past the three of you and Captain Amakiir. As they pass, you see several cuts on the hind legs of the horse they've been riding, likely made by the gnolls' makeshift weapons. Captain Amakiir calls the caravan of troops to order, and as the gnolls continue forward, the war party rushes to meet them.
Gnolls will reach your position at initiative count 6 of the next round, so you all can really take your actions in any order this round. Once that's done, you move in order, starting with Ceasar.
Seeing that the other foot soldiers are getting organized by the captain, Ceasar moves forward (20ft) at a slow pace and readies his weapons, but looks at the incoming Gnolls in an attempt to determine their numbers and if there be any prominent leaders or shamans.
Krag hisses to Nuur, “Stay behind me as much as you can. I’ll try and cover you.” He then enters a defensive stance trying to hide as much of Nuur as possible.
"I´m right behind you, Krag. Let´s do this!" Nuur mumbles a few magic words to ready his Fire Bolt spell. "Once one of these dirty little creatures sticks it´s nose in range I´ll send a little welcome gift in it´s way."
((If they are already in range can I instead shoot right away instead? If that´s the case take this roll 7))
[@Nuur make an attack roll first, then roll damage. They're about 90 feet away and will be using their action to dash and cover most of the distance to you all.]
Cesar notes that this detachment is relatively small, with only about 10 gnolls total, followed by 3 hyenas. The war caravan has formed a line about level with Nuur and Krag, and the gnolls are eyeing certain parts of the line with glee. One gnoll in particular is wielding two short blades and has locked eyes with Captain Amakiir. The strange rider has dismounted and taken their place beside the captain, angling a longsword in both hands towards the gnoll forces.
Gnolls will reach your position in 1 round! Your last set of actions out of reach of their blades occur now!
Nuur sees that the Gnolls are close enough to be struck. He sends the fire bolt soaring through the air towards the Gnoll that appears to be the leader of the pack.
Ceasar readies his longsword and shield to attack the first Gnoll that enters within his range. A small smile is visible on his face as he faces the oncoming foes.
Longsword Attack: 8 Damage: 8
Shield Shove: 11 (gnoll must make athletics or acrobatics check to beat my roll or be knocked prone)

Nuur's fire bolt hits the gnoll in the face moments before the two sides collide. One gnoll and two of the hyenas lock onto you three as their targets, charging at you. Ceasar's longsword whiffs the air as the gnoll dodges around to the side, taking Ceasar's shield bash full on, laughing as the hit slams into its body. The hyenas dash around Ceasar, going for Krag as the gnoll stabs at Ceasar with its spear.
Gnoll Attackagainst Ceasar: 7 for [/roll]1d6+2[/roll] piercing damage.
Hyena 1 Attackagainst Krag: 21 for 6 piercing damage.
Hyena 2 Attackagainst Krag: 19 for 5 piercing damage.
Gnoll Attackagainst Ceasar: 16 for 4 piercing damage. [The warning banner comes up if you add dice rolls before already rolled rolls, so this is down here now. I just copied it, even though I really only needed the damage roll, so Ceasar, just use the first attack roll against your AC.]
Ceasar has an attack of opportunity against either of the hyenas!
Your combat is now localized to your particular part of the battlefield. Rider initiative is no longer relevant, unless you choose to join up with them later.
As the commotion of the fight begins to fill the air, a figure dashes forward from the midst of the camp. Cloaked in a traveling cloth to ward of the sun and heat from the scorching desert, the humanoid figure darts between caravan members in a frantic bid to make their way to the source of the fighting. Seeing an opening in the lines, the figure spills out behind an aged human male, a towering half orc and a human warrior with his shield raised. The figure throws the hood of their traveling cloak back revealing a pale Elven face with bright light blue eyes. Her pale blonde hair is braided and wound up behind her head in a bun to keep it out of the way.
"Sorry I'm late! You guys look like you could use a hand." She strikes a readied battle posture behind the elder sorcerer as a pale bluish white light shines from a crystal hanging from her neck.
"Ahh nice, reinforcements!", Nuur yells with a smile on his face. He mumbles a few words to cast Magic Missile. Directing two of the darts towards the gnoll attacking Ceasar and one towards Hyena 2.

Final Initiative Count: Ceasar, Krag, Cyllyn, Gnolls, Nuur.
[@Mr_Riker, Ceasar did enough damage that Hyena 1 died before it could reach you, just so you keep that 1 HP. @Rasec, there's only one gnoll in your immediate area at the moment. Currently, the rest of the war party is fighting the others.]
Between Krag and Ceasar's blades and Nuur's magic missile, the two hyenas are cut down almost immediately. The gnoll, while bloodied, is still breathing for the moment, albeit on the ground.
An Aarakocra with Golden Eagle coloring swiftly lands near the party. He wears Robes and carries a Crescent staff. "My apologies comrades, I seem to be a bit late but by Amsyn's grace we will prevail." Rook then takes a quick bow and readies himself for combat.

The sudden arrival of the winged man catches the elven woman slightly by surprises. She briefly glances his way before turning her attention back to the problem at hand. She pulls a hand across the crystal hanging from her neck and the pale blue light swirls into her palm. She thrusts her hand outward and the light blasts forward as a crackling beam of energy that hurdles toward the downed Gnoll.
Actual REAL Final Initiative Count: Rook, Ceasar, Krag, Cyllyn, Gnolls, Nuur.
The gnoll snarls as the eldritch blast hits it, the otherworldly strike cracking a few ribs. Even still, it manages to sit up and launch itself at Ceasar, attempting to land in one more attack before its untimely demise.
Gnoll Bite Attackagainst Ceasar: 22 for 4 piercing damage.
Total Gnoll Damage Taken: 21
A war horn sounds in the distance, and you can see a massive swarm of bodies pouring over the sand dunes, the sound of laughter approaching once more. As Captain Amakiir cuts down another gnoll, you hear him cry, "Run! We can't handle that many! Finish what you're doing and run!"

A large red dragonborn appears as if from nowhere and rushes towards the gnoll that is already at deaths door. "If we are to run then let us leave presents to the horde. Let them know that death will find them! Also, I am Bavarax and here to help." With that he smiles with razor sharp teeth and swings at the gnoll hoping to cut him in two.

Krag stares any gnolls he can straight in the eyes and bellows out a warcry, hoping to scare some of them off for a little while.
