Graxx will remain seated and silent but will scan the dock workers and mercenaries to see if any of them have weapons in their hands which may mean they are looking for more than a brawl.
Praxx hops off the stage and approaches the group of dock workers. “Whoa whoa hold on there gentlemen! Isn’t there something we can take care of without getting rough and rowdy? How about this... I buy everyone here a drink and we talk it out like men.” Praxx says with a sly smile.
(@DM_Prax: I’m going to need a persuasion check on that. FYI, in PbP, players usually take a more active role in calling their own checks. You are free to go ahead and roll skill checks preemptively in your posts, like Grx did above with his perception check, for example.)
One of the dockworkers looks to Utar with a don't-get-involved sort of expression on his face: "Ha! The Black Fist are the ones behind the failing lighthouse! Best if they do show up. Maybe Aravele here can convince them to do something about that keep" His tone is quite lewd while speaking that last sentence, and one of the mercenaries (likely the one named Aravele) seems to fully understand what he was implying: "You'll leave now Thirus or your face and this table are going to get really intimate!" Spit starts flying in both directions.
Graxx keeps a close eye on those involved in the argument. The dockworkers are completely unarmed, but the two ladies have a combination of daggers and shortswords at their disposal. No one is actively holding weapons on their hands.
In the background, Imizael continues trying to calm the 'debaters', but fails miserably. Fat Mar has finally found the incentive he needed to go back into the kitchen. The two halflings that were enjoying lunch and talking about ropes and dried food leave some coins at their table and scurry out of the Laughing Goblin, clearly not trying to get caught up on whatever this is. Ortal looks frozen in place, watching. The three humans with ink-stained hands seem to get more comfortable in their chairs, ready for further entertainment (if they had popcorn, they would be eating it by now...)
(OOC: Utar's failed intimidation check has raised the DC for any other defusing strategies here. Speaking of which, I'm still waiting on that DM_Prax's persuasion check.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Aye little one, we'll have a drink together after we teach these mercenaries a lesson or two" says one of the dockworkers in response to Praxx. To that, Aravele grunts and fulfills her promise. She grabs Thirus by the back of the neck, kicks his ankle as to force him out of balance, and slams his face against the table. The piece of bar furniture breaks with the sonorous crack of wood. Thirus is out cold. Neither of the two parties seem keen on resolving this with words any longer.
(OOC: We'll go into initiative as a fight is happening, but please don't interpret this as you having to fight. It really is up to you here, but we'll respect our loose initiative order to keep things organized. You guys may act as you see fit.)
NOTE: The map is zoomed in. You can see more of the tavern to the north and a bit more to the south before hitting walls. The bar is on the northern wall, while the laughing goblin totem is on the red carpet in the southwest. The entrance is on the southeast, and the kitchen is behind the east wall, currently covered in black on the map above. Let me know if you have any questions.
Drazzim isn't going to start the fight. I suppose he'll ready to swing the glaive at someone within his reach if they attack one of his pals at the table.
Praxx turns and jumps back on stage and gathers with his other musicians. Praxx knows he would not be viable in a fistfight such as this but he does keep his wits about him in case someone tries to rush him, his band, or his new found friend at the table.
Neya, Praxx, and Drazzim decide to keep their distances, but prepare for the worst possible scenario.
The Dockworkers then unleash a barrage of punches on the Mercenaries, yelling out "For Thirus!" or "For our wage!" depending on where their priorities lie:
Rolling five attack rolls here: 4; 8; 16; 17; 5.
Aravele's friend gets hit across the cheek twice in rapid succession and is down for the count. The five dockworkers now surround the lone-standing Aravele.
With the brawl now started in earnest, many of the remaining patrons quickly move out of the way and begin taunting and cheering the belligerents. The three humans with ink-stained hands and shirts, in particular, seem to be rousing the spectators and being overly excited about the brawl. Suddenly, they do not seem as harmless as Graxx had judged earlier.
Utar looks over to the table, the handle of his warhammer still propped against it. Looking at the fight however, no weapons drawn yet, Utar can't help but think that discretion is the better part of valour.
Still, five on one is nowhere near a fair fight, especially not if the ink stained onlookers become participants. Utar grasps his amulet once more, invoking command at two of the dockworkers (casting at second level to affect two dockworkers).
Utar's amulet glows, a faint white light visible through his fingers. His eyes close for a second, then open, glowing like the amulet. He speaks a single word, "Flee."
OOC - Two dockworkers need to succeed on a DC12 wisdom save or spend their turns moving away from me at their quickest speed.
Graxx's butt cheeks are clenching his chair under him as he uses every fiber of his well being to remain seated.
Graxx looks to the others at the table and says, "Don't worry. I'm calm."
Graxx gets up taking his greatsword with him and will move to V,12.
Graxx would like to take the ready which would be triggered by either someone brandishing a weapon or continuing to punch someone after they are unconscious. If these do not occur, Graxx will only observe.
The readied action would be an attempt at Intimidation.
Graxx while learning on his shining greatsword would shout, "Enough! Any further harm and I will consider an attempt on a life which will be met with me taking your lives."

(@MB: I really enjoyed your resourcefulness here. Good call on the Command spell. I hope it works but, regardless, you sir may add an inspiration token to your character sheet.)
With Torm's aid, Utar directs two of the dockworkers to leave the respectful establishment:
-> Dockworker#3 CHA saving throw {DC 12}: 8 - on his turn, this dockworker will flee.
-> Dockworker#5 CHA saving throw {DC 12}: 20 - this one didn't even hear Utar.
Trying to control his anger, Graxx gets up and assumes an intimidating pose. He is now just waiting to become triggered (quite literally, actually.)
(@RM: I'm afraid our 24-hour rule has been triggered for Rag, so he'll go into autopilot for this turn. I hope you can rejoin us soon.)
Rag (autopilot) will take advantage of the distracting commotion and pickpocket a couple of random, wealthy-looking patrons, approaching them slowly.
-> Rag's sleight of hand check (i.e. bonus action through Cunning Action: Fast Hands): 14 - Rag collects 19gold pieces from a well-dressed lady that looks completely out of place in the Laughing Goblin and another 15gp from the gentleman of less-reputable background who was courting her earlier.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aravele notices her friend is out of the fight and lets out a loud warcry: "AAAHHHHHHH"
A couple of attack rolls here: 3; 20.
One well-placed punch and a hardy mug-slam are enough for Aravele to force two dockworkers unconscious.
The effectiveness of her attacks sends the more agitated spectators on a rowdy ecstasy: "YEAHHH!" One of the ink-stained men yelps: "Let's go Tibeem, Spernik!" and then breaks a chair on the back of the gentleman whose coin purse was just relieved by Rag. The man falls down, moaning on the floor.
This triggers Graxx's intimidation check, but in turning in surprise to see what happened behind him, Graxx's prepared speech gets only half delivered.
Drazzim will get out of his seat and wander up to beside Graxx (V-11). "You wanting some help with this?" He asks (once again ready to attack someone who attacks either him or Graxx (or if any allies turn up within his weapon's reach).
Neya's shadow gets visibly smaller as it gathers in her hand as a semi-tangible dark mass, she then throws it to to the brawlers which envelops the area in inky blackness (2 ki points expended to cast darkness centered on T16).
"That's enough! What will a fight here accomplish at the lighthouse?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Praxx takes stance and casts Pyrotechnics (smoke) at the table between himself and the brawl.
Praxx shouts “Fire!” as the smoke begins to pour from the table and encompass everything in a 20ft radius. In an attempt to stop the fight as soon as possible.

*i will ensure I do that in my post from now on*
Drazzim is waiting to see how this plays out, his hand carefully readied to grab his glaive should things turn south.
