OOC: It's strange, when we have these long pauses, I imagine The Crew: Motley in a kinda matrix like stop where only our eyes can move. Hope all is well Steve.
A: Strix B: Stirges Five, Six, Seven and Eight C: Sitrges Nine, Ten, Eleven and Twelve D: Dekhan and Incantis E: Stirges One, Two, Three and Four F: Varinth and Scupper
Because the Stirges rolled poorly on their stealth roll, you heard them approach and are not surprised. They are at your level, meaning you can attack with melee, but also that they may get Opportunity Attacks if you move.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Strix attacks stirge 2 with his staff
Attack 10 for 8
And eyepokes stirge 3
Bonus Attack 16 for 6
And takes the opportunity to run around them both to stand in the cave-mouth behind Dekhan about 25 feet away, clearing the middle of the room if someone fancies Ftumching the place, forcing the stirges to split and limiting the number of them that can attack at once. He tries very hard not to use his superior footspeed to just feck off and leave yiz to it. No AoO provoked due to Mobile feat. Hurray, it's paying for itself!
Strix, the zippy little bug-bird-monsters manage to evade both your attacks, but you take comfort in the fact that their attempts to strike you as you move also go wide, and seem to have no chance to hit at all.
Dekhan, the flurry of tiny wings grows especially loud for you, as stirges five, six and seven all crowd around and above you, darting in for an attack:
Striges five and seven dart in; stirge five finds a nice juicy piece of exposed neck, stirge seven a spot where your gauntlet doesn't quite cover the skin on your arm from a certain angle. They both plunge their probosces into you, and they both stick as they start to suck your blood.
Stirge eight attempts the same on Incantis:
Attack: 10 Damage: 7
But misses as the warlock dodges very slightly back.
Dekhan will slay at the Stirge on his neck Attack: 16 Damage: 7 and with his bonus/movement action he will charge towards the wall of the cavern and attempt to crush the Stirge on his forearm.
Dekhan, you manage to maneuver Talon to slice Stirge 5 through the middle, and half of it drops to the ground instantly, while the other side is still attached but very slowly slides out of your body and joins its other half. Unfortunately, you are not able to get yourself in the right position to dislodge the other creature.
Incantis dodges round Stirge 8, and at the same time sends his familiar headed north towards safety. When he is far enough from his friends, he casts Arms of Hadar and tendrils of dark energy snake and slither from his body, out into the cavern ten feet around him: 7
STR saving throws:
3: 13 8: 10 11: 15 12: 13
It feels like the dark tentacles should do more damage, but something seems not quite right. One dark tendril snuffs out one stirge as it hovers in the air, but the others seem to resist... for a moment. But then, you see each one stiffen and turn black; they don't fall to the floor, instead they crumble to dust and just blow remain as little clouds in the still air of the mine. Stirges 3, 8, 11 and 12 are dead.
Scupper, your arrow skims so close to Varinth's flesh, it almost hits, but instead it skewers stirge ten and pulls it violently from Varinth's skin, hurtling down to clatter on the tunnel floor.
Varinth, the remaining stirge attacked ducks and weaves and your ball of flame shoots harmless past in illuminates, temporarily, the ceiling of the cavern where you can see the stirge have made their nests.
Round Two:
A: Strix B: Stirges Six and Seven C: Stirge Nine D: Dekhan and Incantis E: Stirges One, Two and Four F: Varinth and Scupper
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Strix, your first jab goes wide, your second hits and the unfortunate stirge goes careening off into the near darkness, landing some dozens of feet away with a satisfying splat.
Stirge six repeats its attack on Dekhan, diving for his recently-vacated neck:
Attack: 18 Damage: 4
It slurps on Dekhan's life blood; Dekhan, you are starting to feel a little woozy.
Stirge seven, having sated itself on the first attack, detaches and attempts to fly up to its next. Dekhan, you can make an opportunity attack.
Stirge nine wants to get close enough to Varinth to drink him dry:
Attack: 10 Damage: 4
This creature too now latches itself to your body and begins to sup.
Dekhan and Incantis are up. Incantis sends an Eldritch Blast towards Stirge one: Attack: 22 Damage: 8, but he misses. He backs up a little.
Dekhan is up. (You also have an Opportunity Attack on Stirge seven)

Stirges nine and ten dive in, seeking warm sorcerer blood from Varinth:

Stirge ten plunges it proboscis straight through your clothing and deep into your left side, where it too sticks.

Attack: 16 Damage: 5
Attack: 21 Damage: 5
Both strike and stick (unless Shield?).

Stirge 1 dives in to taste Dekhan, but bounces off his shield with a little thump that is almost drowned out by the buzzing of wings.
Attack: 13 Damage: 5
Stirge 2 flutters over Dekhan's head, but makes its attempt on Strix:
Attack: 12 Damage: 6
The agile monk dodges and the stirge almost collides with the tunnel wall.
Stirge 4, seeking fresh meat, flies up and over, zooming down towards Scupper:
Attack: 16 Damage: 5
Right into the hand, and comes so close to attaching itself, but Scupper's Shield springs up and protects him.
Varinth and Scupper are up.
(The lock symbol means they are attached, 4 to Scupper, 7 to Dekhan, 10 to Varinth.)
(shield spell on that attack)
Scupper fires an arrow at one near Vaz
Attack: 18 Damage: 7 sneak attack 6
Varinth taps his staff on the ground ([Tooltip Not Found] 7/10) as soon as the Bloodthirsty Bastard comes near him
