You all gather in a preparation chamber, waiting to see what happens next. Everyone has come here for their own reasons; some for combat experience, others hoping to find wealth or magical equipment, perhaps others simply looking for a good time or a challenge. Regardless of the reasons, you each signed up to join a new form of contest you had heard about, fighting your way through an unknown dungeon, facing monsters and traps while searching for hidden treasures in the hunt for the exit. Those who can escape the dungeon are rewarded for their efforts, while those who fall are healed after the run is complete and still get to keep anything they found before falling. The run is magically recorded and displayed in real time for spectators to enjoy and even place bets on, making it a potentially lucrative business for the people who came up with the idea.
After a short wait, a man enters the chamber and asks everyone to follow him. You are led to another room with a Teleportation circle inlaid in the ground in the center. He gives everyone one last chance to back out if they've had second thoughts, then tells you all to stand within the circle. "Today you will be visiting the Lost Temple of the Wyrm Empress," he says, "It was originally created as a tomb, but its creator was destroyed by a terrible discovery, and the dungeon has fallen into ruin and been rebuilt many times since then." Then he chants a few words and there's a blinding flash of light.
When the light fades and you can see again, you find yourself standing in the center of a large room, almost a hundred feet long and nearly as wide, with a high ceiling. The walls are made of superbly crafted stone. By contrast, the floor is rougher, made up of uneven flagstone, with another Teleportation circle in the ground around where you arrived. You air is a bit warmer than where you came from. Patches of phosphorescent fungus dot the walls at even interviews, providing dim illumination (you'll have disadvantage on perception checks that rely on sight unless you have darkvision or provide a better light source).
The chamber is empty other than the summoning circle on the floor surrounding you. The walls are similarly unadorned, except for a single door on one side of the southern wall. The sounds of the party moving and shifting, as well as any conversation, echo in the large, bare room.

Wilnor make a short introduction to the group. Then move right of the door close to the wall trying to keep his presence low stealth:73. He carefully poke his head to see what beyond the door.
"Well now, this seems a little dingy..." Nadrael stares around the room, seeing well enough in the dim hued light. She looks over each of the other competitors in this little game. Everyone should see well enough, but she casts Light on a slightly upturned stone near her feet, giving everyone an eerie look as the shadows rise up their faces. Much better... now to see who we have here.
Seeing Wilnor move off to the door, eager to move on, Nadrael steps out of the teleportation circle, deciding they wouldn't be so cruel as to try and kill everyone straight away. "I am Nadrael, once an established provider of nefarious services, now here seeking alternate entertainment. With who do I have the pleasure of working?" The question is left open, addressing everyone still seeming to be taking in the surroundings and focussing on their own thoughts.
A small, high pitched squeak comes from the thigh high teenager next to Nadrael. “Ah. Thank ye for the light, miss. I’d be having a trouble or two seeing without it. The name’s Rufus Greenbottle, miss. I’m a bit of an inventor and a tinkerer.” You see nothing on his figure to indicate this, but his hair is slightly frazzled and he has traces of powder on his hands and face. There is a small bulge in his sleeve, a buckler on his left hand, and a rapier on his hip ”I’m looking forward to working with all of ye, making fortunes, slaying exotic beasts, and all around enjoying the times.”
"Please turn light off, Samkgon like the dark. It easy for Samkgon to sneak." Standing behind the group is a good sized Bugbear handily swinging his great axe with one hand. "Samkgon not hurt teammates" as he makes his way to the door.
Nadrael walks up to the other members of the group by the door. "Ok... Let's get moving." With her bow ready, Nadrael opens the door for the others to move through.
Nadrael opens the door, revealing a long corridor heading left and right from where they stand. To the right, the hallway travels down a ways, then makes a hard turn to the left. In the other direction, an open archway and a closed door break up the right-hand wall of the corridor, and it also turns to the left in the distance.
Sam will walk thru the doorway are look left then right. seeing the two doorways to the left he will turn to the right and walk to the end of the hall with axe in hand. "Samkgon check this way."
Wilnor stealthily moves to the archway in the hall and peeks through to see what lies beyond. On the other side of the arch he takes in another large room. A wall to his left extends out about 20 feet before it stops, blocking off the view of what may lie further to the east. Several large square holes have been cut into the ceiling and the floor. As he looks around the room, he hears low whispers coming from somewhere outside of his line of sight, though they're too quiet to understand.

so impatient. One must learn to be patient to succeed, my friends. Such is the way of Life,Love, and War. Matthias follows behind (way behind) and (if we can all hear the whispering) tried to listen to what it’s saying.
Rufus follows beside Mattias, desperately looking around as the source of light grows further and further away. When Sam yells, he jumps a little bit, groaning softly. “Lad, add tact to the list. I may make me own fair share of noise, but I know when the time is right for silence.”

Nadrael will creep up to the now open doorway, and edge forward looking carefully at the ceilings and walls for anything that might indicate a trap or look like a trigger for one. She won't advance beyond where the holes in the room start.

A red tiefling with a set of noticeable large antlers casts Light on his staff as he places himself at the back of the group.

He then follows up his introduction casting False Life on himself.
