(1 - Sam, 2 - Wilnor, 3 - Nadrael. 3, 62, 1)
The nearer hobgoblin growls at the flurry of incoming attacks, turning to first Wilnor, then Nadrael, slashing out with his greatsword. The archway gets in the way of his blade as he tries to maneuver through it to attack though, and neither shot lands.
Wilnor Attack: 16 Damage: 6
Nadrael Attack: 16 Damage: 6
The second hobgoblin takes the easier shot against the unobstructed target and launches an arrow at Sam, but the shot falls short of it's target.

Smoke plumes out and another sharp crack resounds as Rufus fires his third shot from the pistol. The shot punches through the armor and finds flesh beneath, sending a small spurt of blood forwards.

Finding himself standing next to the hobgoblin, Sam takes in a deep breath thru his nose. "You not what Sam smell earlier." Was these words are coming out of his snot Sam is choking up on his greataxe to strike again.
Nadrael will attack the Hobgoblin in front of her.
Attack: 16 Damage: 9
And use Bardic Inspiration on Sam
Bardic Inspiration
As a bonus action, a creature within 60 ft. that can hear you gains an inspiration die (1d6). For 10 minutes, the creature can add it to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.
Matthias burns the archer hobgoblin again, and Rufus strikes the nearby one with another bullet. Both hobgoblins are starting to look worse for the wear, but aren't out of the fight yet. Neither Sam nor Naedral are able to find their target. Valafar sends his pseudodragon to distract the closer hobgoblin, then launches another eldritch blast at it, dropping him in a heap.
(1 - Sam, 2 - Wilnor, 3 - Nadrael. 3,2) (Crit roll from Valafar did *exactly* enough damage to kill the first hobgoblin, so he doesn't get these two shots).
The first hobgoblin continues to lay about himself with his greatsword, attacking first Naedrel, then Wilnor.
Nadrael Attack: 7 Damage: 5
Wilnor Attack: 24 Damage: 17
Seeing his captain fall, the second hobgoblin takes another shot at Sam, then puts some distance between himself and his foes.
Attack: 19 Damage: 15 (Due to the first hobgoblin dying before their turn, this guy doesn't get the +2d6 damage, so does 9 instead of 15)
(Forgot to do Valafar's turn, editing in the text above, but here's the rolls:)
Seeing the remaining hobgoblin turn to flee, Rufus ducks out of cover and gives chase, dashing to keep up. Once he gets within 60 feet of his target and has a clear line of sight, he burns his Action Surge to get off the final shot in his pistol. ”Now hang on a second, lad. We aren’t done with ye yet!”
Wilson and Rufus give chase, following the hobgoblin into the room. Wilson's arrow fails to find it's target, but Rufus' pistol continues to fire true, striking the hobgoblin in the chest, leaving him staggering and on his last legs, but not quite dead yet. Matthias' mind wanders as he fires his next shot and he somehow almost hits Rufus instead of the hobgoblin.
Seeing everyone else chasing down one lonely hobgoblin Sam will squat next to the down enemy "Sam wants to know what you brought on your last day." Sam begins to search the hobgoblin.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Searching the downed hobgoblin, Sam finds 1 gold and 10 silver, in addition to it's greatsword. The javelin it threw lies nearby as well.
Meanwhile, Nadrael is also unable to hit the second hobgoblin.
Valafar sends his familiar to harry the remaining hobgoblin as he launches another Eldritch Blast at it, managing to hit it successfully and finish it off.
Attack: 17 Damage: 6
(Combat complete. Everyone have 125 xp.)
(With profgenclean seemingt o have disappeared, do you want to try to find a replacement for valafar or just continue with 5 players?)
Wilson go loot the other hobgoblin after that he salvage the arrows he shot(1).
(I'm not going to make you gys track mundane ammo, too much of a PITA for no real reason. As long as it's normal arrows/bolts/bullets, I'm happy to assume you brought enough to last for the run. If you get magical ammo, that'll be different of course)
Searching the second hobgoblin, Wilnor (You don't even know your own characters name!!!! :P. I'm assuming autocorrect?) finds 10 gold, in addition to the creatures armor and weapons (chain mail, shield, longsword, longbow, quiver of arrows. And the first hobgoblin had half-plate armor that could be repurposed to a new home if someone wanted)
Rufus slows himself to a halt. “That‘’ll teach ye not to run from us. Well done, lads and lasses.” He leaves the bodies to those better equipped for searching in the dark, and instead reloads his pistol.
(OOC: I’m fine with either 5 or 6, not a huge issue. And as for the ammo, thank you soooooo much. That was always going to be a pain. Will that hold true for all nonmagic ammo? Just thinking ahead to more expensive guns and when I fire more shots a round)

(Yah, as long as it's non-magical ammo I'm happy to assume you just have enough. You'll still have to keep track of how many you're firing for the reload mechanic on the gun, but you won't haev to worry about running out of ammo completely)
(Edit: And sounds like people are generally happy to continue with 5, so we'll go with that.)
Suddenly Valthana disappears without warning. A voice fills the room around you, presumably projected there with magic. "A messenger has arrived for Valthana with warning of an emergency that he must see to immediately, so he will not be joining you for the rest of your run."

as the Hobgoblin burns, Matthias smiles. I just love it when my spells connect.
