OOC - hey guys just a quick question - are we disadvantaged with our attacks/actions during this battle due to it being dark? (for folks who don't have any type of night vision etc.) Or are the torches still burning?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brom's battle tested instintcs kicked in as he is quick to act. Sensing he can engage the boars on his terms he runs forward about 15 feet and takes out one of his two hand axes throwing it end over over end in the direction of the small boar.
(Brom's Hand Axe flies thru the air and manages to slice the Boar across the back. Blood spurts out of the wound as it squeals and slows down a bit, but keeps running forward.)
Omnia, you're up.
Nate - No disadvantage, I'll assume someone sticks a torch in the ground so you have some light. Also, it's not pitch black, but just kind of dark.

Omnia pulls up her crossbow and aims directly at the larger of the two boars, she steadys her breathing and then lets loose the arrow as she fires she moves away readying her rapier ready for her next attack
(Omnia shows her skill with her Crossbow by shooting her arrow right into the Giant Boar’s neck, hurting it badly! The beast squeals loudly and takes a tumble. After a few moments, it starts running towards the party again, although much slower than before.)

Quinn reaches into a pouch on the side of his belt and throw bit of the contents in the air in front of him. You see as fine sand starts to fall, but then Quinn strums on he's lute and hums a note, and the sand seems to fall a little slower.

Quinn looks over to Idalie
"Time to show us your skill Perky"
(Gives bardic inspiration to Idalie)
(Bardic Inspiration - You gain one Bardic Inspiration die, a d6. Once within the next 10 minutes, the creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the Bardic Inspiration die is rolled, it is lost. A creature can have only one Bardic Inspiration die at a time.)

DMs note: Well played, Quinn.
(Quinn's lute quietly plays as his spell takes effect. The smaller boar slows down... slower... until finally laying down and falling asleep. The spell looks to be working on the Giant Boar as well, but it doesn't finish the job and the Giant Boar shakes off it's effects, before continuing to charge, setting its sights on Idalie. Brom is there, however, dividing the Giant Boar's attention and using his Protection skill to protect Idalie. It takes a slash at the Gnome with its Tusk Attack!)
Attack: 19 Damage: 18
(Idalie and Brom both misjudge the ferocity of the Giant Boar's attack and its Tusk manages to slash the Ranger in the stomach! Idalie is hurt pretty badly, but she's still standing.)

Nate watches as his comrades attack and is amazed at what he is witnessing. He is concerned about Idalie's wounds and feels anger and rage towards the giant boar as he raises both of his daggers up in the air and attempts to drive both of them into the giant boars body hoping he pierces an internal organ.
First dagger attack: 17 First dagger damage if applicable: 6
Second dagger attack: 7 Second dagger damage if applicable: 2
(Two-Weapon Fighting - When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.)
(Nate's rage-fueled attacks find their marks, both piercing the Giant Boar's tough hide! It bucks and kicks the air wildly, squealing and snorting in pain.)
Idalie, you're up.
DM's note: Glad you're liking it, Nate. I've got to apologize, guys, it gets a little slow going 1 turn per day in this kind of situation. I usually update 1x a day after work, but I'll be around for the 3 day weekend and I'll try to keep up as quickly as you guys post.
Note to DM: don't worry about it it also falls down to bei g in different time zones I take it you guys are all in the states where I am in the UK. I agree I am enjoying this one shot. Game question how far away are we all to the boars?

Things go very quickly after the boars charge out of the brush. Her party laying into them, Quin even managing to put the smaller of the two to sleep with his lyre, laying it flat several feet from where she and Brom are standing. Idalie is more than impressed but the bigger one proves to be a bit on the tougher side. Despite the efforts of her fellows and Brom's protective stance, the beast is on her before she knows it. Goring her even as she tries to fend it off, its tusk slicing through her armor and into her stomach. Idalie cries out as it does, finding the strength to shove it back even if she has to drop the arrow she was about to knock to her bow in the process. The creature is too close for that to do her any good at this point regardless so, ignoring the pain, the gnome draws the short sword from her belt instead. Driving the blade towards the boar's chest.
Attack: 17 Damage: 6
Bardic inspiration: 6
((So that would be an 18 on the attack roll, lol. I realize now I could've rolled that first and added it to the attack modifier but that's a note for next time. Still getting used to the dice roller.))
(Idalie fights thru the pain, unsheathes her sword and plunges it into a muscular part of the Giant Boar. It slows down even more, but it is very tough and thrashes wildly.)
Brom trying to think of a way to get the boars attention he grabbed his war hammer in both hands, raised it above his head and came down with it with all his might.

With her rapier at the ready Omnia takes a calculated swing towards the larger of the boars
Attack: 16 Damage: 8
Player edit: Natural 20 - i am rolling well at the moment lol Note to DM as the giant boar is engaged would i be able to apply sneak attack to this as well (Once per turn, you can deal an extra 1d6 damage to one creature you hit with an attack with a finesse or ranged weapon if you have advantage on the attack roll. You don’t need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 ft. of it, that enemy isn’t incapacitated, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.)
For DM Only:
Giant Boar: 15
Boar: 14
Brom, you're up first. The boars are about 30 feet away and gaining fast. Quinn and Omnia, both of you please roll a straight d20 as a tiebreaker.
