''Ready to leave?'' The halfling that, a few minutes ago, was wearing priest robes, is now sporting climbing gear and a large backpack. As he is a Halfling, the backpack is almost his size.
''Then let's go.'' He starts to walk away from Jedburg. ''The path to the tower won't be easy. Luckily it is far enough away from any goblins, so we won't have to worry about them too much. Once we reach the mountain I won't be able to continue with you, but you will know where to go.'' He points to a mountain which is just barely visible in the distance.
Fang gives a small, yet loud laugh, and pounds his fist into his chest, "Goblins or no goblins, there's no need to fear as long as the powerful and mighty Fang Wu Kong is here!" He gives another small laugh, then starts happily following the priest, "Let's go meet this wizard person!"
You leave Jedburg and head towards the mountain in the distance. There is no path, so you must walk through the large jungle that separates Jedburg and the mountain and all of its obstacles.
Give me a marching order and perception checks. The priest needs to be first or close to the front.
Baxthon will walk next to the priest, trying to learn whatever he can from the priest, asking questions about the gods like "How many gods are there? Who do you worship? Am i holding this idol right?" Trying to do a prayer or two with his idol "is this the right way?" He doesnt pay much attention to the road, but focus on the priest. He is determined to learn how to priest! Perception: 5
Fang keeps up a pleasant pace behind everyone, taking in the view, tail wagging low to the ground. However, he's keeping an eye and ear out for any possible trouble. Sadly, while he's very powerful and awesome, it appears his friends still are having a hard time, he should at least try better -3-
The Halfling leads you all straight into the jungle, over rocks and rivers, past various animals. No sign of goblins though, and that feels good.
Baxthon, the halfling chuckles at all of your questions. He tells you of all the gods he has heard of in his life (the standard d&d gods). ''I worship Tyr, god of justice, but the temple accepts every belief. We sure don't have enough materials to build another one.'' And after a few more of your questions, he says, ''Worshiping a god is not something you learn, but something you discover. That is why you are on this journey, to discover your faith.''
Fang, your party seems very distracted, so you put more effort into observing your surroundings. After an hour of walking, you start seeing shadows moving through the trees. Following you.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fang hears a little about the Gods, but gives a confused look. However, before he can voice his confusion, he notices the shadows, and calls out to everyone, "Oh! Keep walking, I saw something interesting! I'll catch up!"
He'll then try to disappear into the trees, climbing up into the branches and hiding in them, before going to look for the source of the shadows.
Fang, believing that, 'Oh, it was just the trees.....lol, silly trees, you stop moving', is then going to just follow the party, via tree, not revealing himself. Enjoying this moment he has of hiding from them on purpose, he's going to see how long he can drag it out. If he can, he'll grab a piece of fruit or two and eat it as he goes along. -3-
Baxthon is not paying attention to Fang at all. He is too distracted by the words of the priest 'Discover your faith'. As he walks he tries to empty his mind, loosing his surroundings, and focus on the idol clenched in his fist. Those near him may even spot a green glow once in a while.

You notice that trees, much as people and animals, also project shadows. The more you know. (you rolled a 5, that's what you get)
