Mouth open, the dragon continues to swoop down towards Arkhan. Suddenly, several long golden strips of energy burst from the treeline, looping over the wyrms back, tightening around its wings. As the lines pull taught, Syna takes a step to steady himself. The lines tugging gently from his outstretched hand.

OOC: Seraks round action goes in here.
Below the dragon, Arkhan stands ready. Calmly he slows his breathing, longsword in hand as he lets adrenaline numb his wounds. Any moment the dragon will be within reach, and he will be ready.
Serak: Sprinting east, Serak's heart pounds as he then circles north, around the ruined building. He runs along the wall, taking cover along the northern wall of the building, readying himself to make the final sprint across open ground to the barracks.

Watching with bated breath as Arkhan turns to face the swooping dragon, Zyltris readies himself to charge forward. His legs shake slightly, unsure whether a fight against this dragon is wise or not. Nevertheless, he is not prepared to watch this Dragonborn be torn apart.
Seraks sprint away alerts the two blights to his presence once more. The forest echoes with the monsters shrieks as they take up the trail, stomping heavily over the twigs and foliage littering the floor. Though not as fast as Serak, they waste no time closing the distance, almost rounding the corner of the building as Serak prepares to sprint across the square.
OOC: Not much action going on this round! Beetle, your turn again...

Seeing the Dragonborn up against the dragon Beetle will...first as a bonus action he uses his Hex Blades Curse
(Once per short rest, as a bonus action, choose one creature you can see within 30 ft. to curse it for 1 minute (or until the target dies, you die, or you are incapacitated). Against the cursed target, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls, score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20, and you regain 4 HP if it dies.)
Then he will move to the dragon trying to stay to the south side so he isn't right with Arkhan...if he can get close enough he will bring Talon down on the dragon...
Attack: 23 Damage: 8
if this attack hits I will also use a level 1 spell slot for Divine Smite...for additional 9911 (sorry not sure what happened with 1st smite roll)
When you hit with a melee weapon attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal 2d8 extra radiant damage to the target plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st (max 5d8) and plus 1d8 against undead or fiends.
If he can't get close enough he will cast Eldritch Blast Attack: 13 Damage: 7
OOC: Beetle, because the dragon is airborne by 55ft, this round it will be out of range for your Hex Blades Curse. Everything else appears fine, you're not going to be in range for your melee attack this round either, but if your happy enough I can take your eldritch blast instead
OOC: No probs. Might not be clear on the maps, but the dragons altitude is at 55ft currently.
Holding his position beneath the treeline, Beetles hand twitches for his longsword. Between him and the dragon, Arkhan stands alone, egging the creature to attack him. A crackle of energy, trickles down Talons blade, ready should anything happen.
ROUND 7
Diving at the last second, the dragon swoops low over Arkhans position its bulking green body almost within touching distance as its snapping jaws open wide before him. Arkhan raises his sword, releasing a long arc of crackling electricity towards the airborne beast.
Attack: 8
The electricity barely reaches the dragons head, tickling its snout as a rapidly thickening purple haze suddenly blasts from its mouth. A strange, sweet rotting smell fills the air as Arkhan is completely shrouded in a cloud of foul gas.
Arkhan Constitution Save: 14 Save DC: 14
With a flap of its long powerful wings, the dragon rises sharply into the air once more, turning north in an ever tightening arc. Its wings beat away the foul cloud, revealing Arkhan still standing, sword still raised above him, his breath held tightly.
Attack: 17
A crackling beam of light rips through the air as the dragon soars past the trees, scraping against the bright green scales covering the beasts body. With a brief squeak the dragon continues, unharmed and undeterred. The sparks dwindle and disappear as Beetle lowers his blade. His attack ineffective against such a large beast.
In the trees, Brots watches on, reaching for an arrow with a quivering hand. Carrying Lucas deeper into the woods, the gnome whispers over to Syna, "What do we do? Do you think he sees us here?" Carefully he aims his bow. Like Beetle, if the dragon causes any damage, he will attack.

Approaching the barracks door, he shouts, "Jelenneth! Dayereth! Make haste! The Dragon attacks!"

"Stubborn, Dragonborn," Syna mutters. Knowing that on the ground, the party might stand a better chance, he once again calls forth his power to release Earthbind
Kicking up dust as he sprints across the empty town square, Serak quickly spins around, bow raised. Loosing an arrow he times it perfectly, striking the blight just as it rounds the corner.
Attack: 13 Damage: 7
The first blight falls to the floor in a heap while the seconds footsteps grow steadily louder behind. To the south, the dragons wings disappear from sight beneath he treeline as the beast swings back around. Yells from the others, clearly audible on the wind. Reaching the barracks door Seraks call is answered from above. Dayereths face, a mixture of fear and excitement, peeks over the battlements, "I saw it Serak. It came from the tower after that thunder clap earlier. Didn't look to happy!"
A moment later, the second blight appears. Off balance as it rounds the corner of the building, barely able to keep upright. With a shriek it reaches out for Serak, despite being some distance behind.
Arkhan, Beetle, Syna:
"Stubborn Dragonborn", Syna grumbles to himself as Arkhan seemingly continues to goad the dragon into a fight. For a second time he reaches a hand out for the dragon, sending a stream of delicate yellow threads through the air. Again the strips loop over the dragons wings, binding limbs together tightly.
Dragon Strength Save: 21 Spell Save DC: 13
Roaring in frustration, the dragon simply beats its wings, snapping the ties as they tighten. A beady black eye glints as the dragon seems to stop midair, hovering slightly as it picks a spot below.
Glaring at the dragon as it flies past, Arkhan finally releases his breath. "TZARAFAR!" Not caring if the dragon hears him, he drops his longsword. His hand, now covered in rippling flames, flicks at the wyrm as it circles around, sending a long stream of roaring flame its way.
Attack: 7
The dragon snorts, blowing out the flame with a single puff from its nostrils. Locking eyes with Arkhan, the dragon laughs long and hard, mocking the golden warrior, before uttering a single sentence from its scaled green lips, "Hawrk'ghukech! Wux dronilnr molmonsore ekess darastrix cirau! Si geou show wux dastudr!" The ground rumbles as the dragons ancient words reach Arkhan, as if the very earth itself fear the creatures presence.
Still hidden in the trees, Zyltris holds his morningstar tightly. With no way of helping from range, he waits patiently for his moment to help, even if just as a distraction if the dragon attacks.
Arkhan, Beetle:

OOC: That takes us back up to Beetle again to end the round!
OOC: Don't let the Dragon scare you guys off! lol We still have a chance against it. Serak will bring Dayereth and Jelenneth to help.
Serak:
Drawing another arrow to his bowstring, Serak shouts, "Hurry you two! Our friends may require assistance! Follow me!" Taking careful aim, he looses the arrow at the remaining Blight.

Arkhan, Beetle, Syna:
Eyes fixed on the swooping dragon, Beetles mind drifts to the possibility that Tyr will not aid him this time. His thoughts turn to another ally, the demon within must surely help him. Closing his eyes tight, the paladin reluctantly summons the dark black nightmare. The effect is instantaneous. Though some distance away, Beetle can see the dragons demeanor change. It's eyes blackened, its wings flicker uncontrollably.
Taking the opportunity, Beetle raises Talon, thrusting it into the air at the dragon and sending forth a beam of bright crackling energy through the air.
Attack: 13
The beam crackles loudly, sending sparks of light shooting in all directions, before finally dissipating as it strikes the dragons scaled body. The dragon continues, seemingly unaffected by the attack, more distracted by the conflict spawned inside.
ROUND 8
Arkhan, Beetle, Syna:

Off balance, the dragons wings suddenly falter, its bulking body driven downwards as the demon takes a hold. Locking eyes with Arkhan, the dragon snarls, picking its way through the air to finally land beside the dragonborn. "JAKA WUX GEOU OCUIR VIS VERS!" Its booming voice echoes through the forest as it lands, shaking the ground with its tremendous weight.
Dragon Attack Roll 1: 9 Dragon Attack Roll 2: 14 Dragon Attack Roll 3: 25
In a split second, Arkhan is in the dragons jaws, crushed between two rows of sharp blackening teeth. With his armour holding well under the intense pressure, the dragonborn laughs aloud, pushing against the strain with all of his might. Seemingly winning the contest, Arkhan is released, rolling to the floor in time for a second blow. The dragon swipes out with a set of long talons, carved deep fissures into the ground, narrowly missing the dragonborn as he rolls away. A third blow follows as a second claw slashes through the air, narrowly missing its mark. Arkhans laughter fills the air, as each attack is dodged with minimum effort.
Watching on from the forest, Brots sheepishly steps forward. Bow in hand he aims at the dragon as it struggles to subdue Arkhan. Whispering to himself as he looses his arrow, the gnome quietly cheers his companion on, secretly hoping the dragon doesn't hear. "Come on Arkhan! You crazy goblin!"
Brots Attack Roll: 25 Damage: 7
A high pitched squeal rings out as the dragon takes its first hit. The sound though, comes from the forest as Brots' almost forgets himself in excitement, his arrow drawing blood in the dragons side.
Taking his cue, Zyltris charges forwards, sprinting across the clearing to assist Arkhan. He draws his morningstar mid sprint, bearing down on the beast.
Arkhan, Beetle:
Translation "NOW YOU WILL SEE TRUE POWER!"
OOC: No probs Beetle. I'm a bit hesitant to take anyones turns against the dragon as its such a big event.

Spreading his arms wide, the druid summons upon the power of nature to aid them. The ground behind the dragon churns, exploding as hundreds of grasping vines and thorns burst through the soil.
Within seconds the dragon is covered by a thick blanket of green, twisting tightly around its legs and body, tying it firmly to the floor. The beast roars as it struggles in vain to spread its wings. The vines stretch with its effort, their roots holding firm against the might of the dragons strength.
Serak:
Aiming his bow towards the last remaining blight, Serak hears the booming, muffled voice of the dragon roaring over the woods. A distant rumble shakes the ground under foot, followed by a menacing but eerily joyful throaty laugh. Maintaining his concentration, Serak looses his arrow as the blight approaches.
Attack: 23 Damage: 4
The bards arrow punches a hole through the wooded creatures chest, destroying the intricate patchwork of branches within. Falling to ground in a heap, the blight screeches wordlessly , shrivelling up into a motionless pile of firewood in the shadow of the statue. Darting away, Serak doesn't wait for the Jelenneth to open the fort door, heading west. Struggling to see through the mixture of trees and ruined buildings, Serak can't quite make out the fate of his friends at the smithy - the dragon however, is apparantly no longer in flight.

Zyltris' attack is more fortunate, swinging overhead and striking the dragon hard in the base of its skull. The elfs mace though is not strong enough to break through the thick layer of scaly hide, instead leaving a white streak of scratches on the surface. Twirling his weapon in his hands, Zyltris glance nervously around, contemplating another plan of attack.

Zyltris Attack Roll: 22 (+ Entangle Adv)
Zyltris' attack is more fortunate, swinging overhead and striking the dragon hard in the base of its skull. The elfs mace though is not strong enough to break through the thick layer of scaly hide, instead leaving a white streak of scratches on the surface. Twirling his weapon in his hands, Zyltris glance nervously around, contemplating another plan of attack.
OOC: Beetle, back to you! Maps unchanged but Ill put it here for convenience:
