"Us? Capture him?" His expression in utter disbelief. "Oh, hells no, you could not be more wrong. Why don't you stick around - hear what he has to say."
With that, he grins and approaches the half elf. "Well, I'm not gonna hurt you. But them.." he whispers, "I can't vouch for them. Let's just calm down and start with who gave you orders, where you were going with her, and why, okay hunty?" He stares the elf down, absorbing their features.
Jason, having his abilities recced into himself and landing back on solid ground, was in a daze, having once again lost sense for what it is he just did. He finds himself sighing to himself, when Ria eventually approaches him.
"Oh, thank you for remembering that." He accepts his dagger back, but seems to pay it less mind, as his attention turns to focus just on Ria, "Glad to see that you're doing okay. In regards to helping me, as I was approaching, I heard those men mention that you had some magical abilities?" Jason looks to Ria with both caution, but mostly hope. "I was hoping that you'd be able to provide me with some insight, to my own....abilities."
Ria shrugs at Jason, relaxing slightly. "They're new and limited, not sure what insight I can provide. Sorry." She rolls her eyes at Kathleen. "I bought passage from them, they knocked me out and tied me up, they're trying to get into some sort of weird temple crypt thing, they've still got a minotaur prisoner. Now, if nobody else has any more dumb questions, I'm going to go stop them. Excuse me." She whirls towards the edge of the clearing, grabbing a bow and quiver from the bottom of the weapons pile.
Having been rapidly abandoned by the first person whose life he just saved, Katznii does a quick scan of the rest of this fortuitously gathered throng to see if anyone else is in need of care while the various social niceties work themselves out.

Kathleen calls out to Ria, "Please wait a minute. I want to go with you. I was actually looking for this crypt myself and traveling with you might lead me to it."
Asphodels raises a brow at Ria. He turns to the half elf. "Ah, well, I hope we never see you again." He grins and begins following her, leaving the elf.
"A 'weird temple crypt' sounds like a place you'll need help. What do you say? We could have a whole team goin' for us." He bats his eyelashes at her. "Me, you, bean stalk over here." He gestures to Kathleen.
Ria shrugs. "By all means, tag along. But hurry up, I'd like to get there before they start sacrificing people." She frowns. "You have until I get my hair back up and out of my face to figure out what you're doing, and I hope it doesn't involve leaving him conscious to warn the others." She jerks her head at the half-elf, then slings her bow over her shoulder and starts collecting her loose hair back into a complicated braid with the ease of long practice.
"I see your point." He looks at the half elf and groans. "But blood stains and I just cleaned this." He puts his fingers to his chin and ponders. "I don't suppose we could take him with us. He could be useful later on.. speaking of.."
He calls to the rest, "Any of you comin with? It's going to be a hot mess, I can feel it."
"Please no!" The half elf cries out to Ria. Just when he thought he was good.
"I won't say anything, I promise! I'll go back to the ship, I-I I know how to sail! If y-you all let me live, I can give you a safe passage away from the miles of jungle." He bargains, hoping it enough to spare his life.

At this point Kath gets a little suspicious. She walks closer to the guy (About 10ft and says) "Tell me something, who are you and what are you doing here? Who sent you on this quest and who are..." she looks around for a bit, "er... were your companions?" Her tone is not intimidating.
Ria makes an irritated noise, tucking a strand of hair into her braid. She glares at the half-elf. "You seem to be under the impression that I care if you live or die. I don't. I am going to go follow the rest of your little kidnapping party, stop them from opening that thing, free Wendigo, then turn around, leave, and never look back." Her eyes burn with cold fury. "So stop trying to appeal to my better nature, because it's still asleep from that blow to the head you gave me."
"Listen lady," Katznii says, looking at the small spattering blood trail leading from where he was healing Ria to where she now stood by the gear pile, "If you plan on chasing off into the jungles as you are, you're likely to bleed out or attract something worse than what you're looking for now. If you don't mind taking a minute to breathe, maybe I can finish putting you back together again like I started?" He holds his still glowing hand out invitingly...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Right, so while I'm keeping your innards in, maybe tell me about how I came across you getting stabbed out here in the jungle with these people." Katznii motions to the various bodies and the one defeated half-elf. "I've gathered from what was said you hired these thugs as guides? And you had a companion that is missing?" All the while, he is coaxing her wounds to close with a warm healing light.

Ria shrugs. "I hired them to get me out of the upper nation, thought they were legitimate sailors. Apparently not. There was a minotaur on the ship as well, he's currently going to be used as a sacrifice to open the whatever, so maybe we can save the life story for later?" She crosses her arms and glances around the clearing. "And...thanks, I guess. I'm Ria, and I appreciate you guys getting involved for whatever reason." She unslings her bow and nocks an arrow. "Now I'm going to go shoot some pirates."
Jason, having finished wallowing in the disappointment of not finding someone who could explain his new situation to him, perks up at Ria's last words about sailors. "I'm coming along! I want to help, also, I can also sail a ship, so I might be able to get us out of here if you can lead us to the ship that brought you here before." His grip on his hammer tightens as a resolute look shows on his face, he genuinely wants to help this creature and it doesn't hurt that these pirates had a ship he could use to find a way home.

"I like this one," he mutters to himself, "She's got spunk."
When he speaks, it is the same voice that he spoke with earlier, but at the same time, somehow different, more unsettling.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."

Ria sighs, tying off her braid. "Sure. And then I'm going to go help my...sort of friend." She moves back over to Katznii with a faint frown.
