Heavy clouds blanket the land, sheltering the tropic wilderness from the heat of the small and large suns. The heavy clouds lay low, spreading fog within the canopy of this early morning. Birds sing and chirp hidden up there while below, the creatures begin to stir. Begin to hunt.
Among Maalim and this deep in Kannaeus, life has different rules: eat or be eaten, be more clever or be eaten, and lastly, only the Alphas of Nature rule.
Within the large roots and underbrush of towering ancient trees, a man stirs, awakened more fully by the first sound of civilization he’d heard since he ‘landed’ here. If only it had been a good sign, but the roar for help was still something to go off of.

Walking with his gaze glued to the prints he's been following since yesterday, Jason huffs a sigh, his black hair wet with sweat, sticks to his fair skin. He's not used to this kind of environment and it shows.
Hearing the roar, Jason tightens up, both relief and fear lighting up in his eyes as he hopes for friendly arms....but expects something more dangerous. After a moment of hesitation, and attempting to remember where the footprints are, he heads towards the roar.
Jason’s eyes spot the large gouges in the soft dark dirt. Clearly whoever had come this way had not been inclined to do so carefully. It was lucky for you however, though your ability to track something on land was modest at most, you did your best to follow what could have been several someones.
—Voices.
You we’re right, several different voices seemed to bicker. In what seemed to be a glade, crates, horses and even a dinosaur of burden rested in the vibrant green foliage.
[Jason & Ria need a perception check and both Jason, Heck’s and Trinity need to take a stealth check]

(Youre good Rasec, I’ll fill in a bit more detail.)
—
“What do you mean you can’t find the entrance? Isn’t that why we brought these two?” A large charcoal skinned man said, a hammer clutched in one impatient hand. The smaller man, shaped like a human who should have been a crane, only shook his head and scowled.
”we’ll find it... The entrance can’t be hidden any longer Oros.” But the man’s eyes drifted to who Jason, Asphodel and Trinity assumed to be the voice they’d heard. Two metal poles with good distance between them held their captives barbarically. Thick rope, manacles and what looked to be bruises up and down the very inhuman one.
A minotaur, something of legend and myth, a being known for their adept skills to hunt in impossible mazes, the violence that takes told of their strength. This one however seemed smaller than legend, slimmer, a pale silver white fur covering it’s hide. To the left, a girl.
[Books, would you like to describe what they see from a reasonable distance? Then reply to the below.]
”Then our little thief will get us inside, isn’t that right Love? We know your secret, dabbling in magic, someone of your nature’s good with doors, riddles... and I assume you’d rather help us and live through this little excursion then e bruised and suffer like your obstinate friend?”
Not much is visible of the girl's face beneath her dark red hair, most of which has fallen from an elaborate braid. She's struggling furiously against her bonds. At the threat, she goes still for a moment, her head turning briefly towards the minotaur next to her, and then spits out a single angry word. "Fine."
The snide man's smile seemed to crawl ear to ear. The more you looked at him Ria, the more you second guessed what kind of person you thought he was. He wasn't part of the sailor's guild, that was for sure. A pirate. Perhaps even something worse.
"Perfect." He finally said, caressing Ria's cheek. The spindly man looked to the larger human. "Oros, grab a few of your best men. I want to check that whole place one more time, see if there is anything missing before we have our little mana-runner take a look. Bring the cow in case we need any spilled blood." He ordered. Soon, the men were untethering the minotaur, gathering some supplies and heading deeper into the jungle.
The milk white minotaur looked to Ria with dread in his eyes, trying to fight back, but when their own whip was used against them, he followed, just beginning to fade into the foilage when one of the thugs near the rogue shouted.
"--Hey! We got a spy!" The man looked directly at you Jason, and suddenly that spear in their hands seems for more dangerous.
[Ria, Trinity, Jason, Asphodel, what would you like to do?]

Ria looks like she's planning the bloody murder of the snide man, although the look on her face changes as the minotaur is grabbed, her eyes tracking him and a hint of desperation visible on her face. At the snide man's shout, hope flashes across her face, gone in a heartbeat, and she quietly begins trying to wriggle out of the ropes.
The bindings seem inpossible to get leverage in, and as you go to tug a certain way, you aren't quite ready to commit to popping your shoulder out of socket to maybe break free. Ria lucks out however that no one seems to be paying attention to her new found desire to escape, as their eyes are all drawn to the dark haired man who stumbled into this situation.

"Not just a single spy, friend," says a voice, as the curved blade of a khopesh reaches around the man's neck. A dark skinned man with many strange scars on his face and arms steps out from behind the man and grins at Jason, where all the man's attention was directed, so that he did not notice the man creeping up.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Jason grits his teeth at the realization that he's been spotted, his first instinct tells him to run, but looking to both the girl, who not only needed help, but according to these men, might even be able to tell him about his own....situation....
Taking a breath of fresh air, Jason stands out from his hiding place, not entirely sure what he was actually doing. He lets out a yell, loud as his body allows, before charging towards both the girl and her captors. Hammer and dagger in hand, he tries to get as close as possible to the bindings, to slash them with his dagger.
"YAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Meanwhile in his mind he's freaking out, trying his best to let his adrenaline and sheer desire to both do good and get answers overcome his fear at never having been in an actual fight before.
(He will use his movement to try to get as close as possible, but if he can't get to the bindings, he'll take a dodge action)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Katznii looked up, startled from his train of thought by the far-off shout, as he trudged through the lush jungles on a path mostly of his own making. It had been days since he had seen or heard another person since he was drawn to this land not so many weeks go.
"Huh, maybe that's what I'm looking for?" He muttered to himself as he turned towards the commotion and crept that way cautiously.
Trust me, when I have a new campaign or see a good one, I’ve got a lot of people here that are my first contact. Wish I could play with all of you!
