Asphodel groans loudly as yet another stick he tried to move out of the way swings back and smacks him in the eye; to his dismay, the branch gets caught in his hair. He hisses in pain, once again having to worry about fixing his orange locks.
Too preoccupied to hear the voices at first, he clears his way without any care for being quiet. “‘Go’..go where? Directions might’ve been nice...” he whispers to himself annoyed while continuing to make his way. Then, he hears them.
“People? Oh, yes please. About time I found others-” He begins heading towards the voices, adjusting his footing on the way in attempts to be sneaky.
(Woah woah woah, hold up, are you sure you want to declare your attack so soon? With the current initiative, things could change. I’m cool with it if you decide that’s what you want)
[Here is the map, your characters being their first letter]
”They’re coming out of the woods!” Bellowed a thin half elf, his short sword drawn, taking a stance behind the crates, hoping his friends being alert would help. It worked for the captain, watching them disappear quicker into the tropic forest.
[Asphodel’s turn, what would you like to do? Ria on deck after T3]

When he hears the half elf yell, panic spreads like wildfire through his body. He watches Trinity come out of the woods and straight up stab someone. Instinctively, he points to the closest person to Ria (T2) and casts Toll the Dead.
He'll then use his movement to go 15 feet back into the jungle and get behind a tree. The words; 'Oh shit -oh shit -oh shit. This is happening.' written on his expression.
The scruffy looking man snarls at Jason, ready to lunge until he grips his head, struggling to focus in what appears to be a calm jungle. Blood pools out of his ears, looking aged, as if he were struck by nothing.
[T3]
Everything was happening so fast, as soon as the vibrant thing came out of the woods, it was gone before his crossbow was ready. He aimed into the woods, not able to spot the thing.
”where’d you go fishy. . .?” He growls, holding his trigger ready for the slightest movement.
Ria mutters a curse and continues to struggle in her bonds, not bothering to be subtle this time.
Acrobatics: 16
The moment her hands pop free, she rises into a standing position, her eyes scanning the clearing for weapons as she tracks the movement of the group with the minotaur out of the corner of her eye.
Ria struggles more, desperate to not be a sitting duck among a full on fight, nor to watch the others get away. She could feel her wrist’s scream at her to stop, rope digging in further and further. Soon the rope felt slick with her own blood and sweat from the humid day. Just before Ria feels her shoulder popping out, her left hand slips free, freedom feeling far greater than it ever had before. With one freed hand, the second wasn’t too far behind. [take 1 damage]
[T1]
This wasn’t the first time he had a knife to his throat, only glad he could react faster with the scene to the side of them distracting enough. He lifted his hand to grasp the fist holding the blade to toss it away long enough he could make safe distance to give a real fight. (Using DEX to break free of the ‘grapple’. Trinity needs to roll an athletics check to beat 6)
[Trinitity’s turn, grapple doesn’t even budge as your blade holds tightly to his neck- give me a sec and I’ll take what you gave for your turn earlier)
For his turn, Trinity will slice the man's throat with his scimitar, and pierce his heart with his shortsword.
Attack: 6 Damage: 7
Offhand Attack: 6 Damage: 6
If he gets advantage for sneaking up on the man, 19 and 16
(As I read through some of the rules to double check, I'm going to make the call based on the situation. The first strike will have advantage, however, the first roll of the second attack will not. The enemy will receive 11 damage do to autocrit I decided to give out)
"AGH!" The man gargles as the blade strike's down, the man hold's his neck, kneeling in the soggy dirt and just missing the next blade Trinity tries to deal. Crimson spews between the man's hands, until at last, his body goes limp at the feet of the wild looking figure.
Jason would finish running over to Ria, however, seeing that she's already freed, he just passes her the dagger he was holding. "Please don't leave, I need your help." He'll then run towards T2 and swing his hammer at the target's head.
The dagger fumbles out of his hand as Jason passes by and lunges with his hammer barreling down at the man. The thug turns just in time from his target to see it, raising his arm to protect himself.
Crrrack!
The hammer lands and the man bellows out a howl of pain, relinquishing the crossbow trigger, to try and fight the new problem.
[T2's turn]
"Come to save this pile of trash or lookin' for a hand on that relic?" He spits at Jason, aiming his crossbow desperately at the dark haired man. The trigger clicks as soon as he thinks he's got the close range shot. (13 to hit w/ disadv) The bolt flies a couple feet before sinking into Jason's stomach. The pain rips across his abdomen, a stream of red trickling down. (7 piercing damage)
The crossbow reloads as the grin on the grizzly man grows more confident.
[Asphodel's turn!]

Standing back to tree, Asphodel internally pep talks himself into turning back. He peaks out to see if he was followed or if he'd be shot at. When nothing happens he lightly smacks both of his cheeks before running 15 feet back to where he came from.
He quickly absorbs the scene, finding Ria free and armed. While scanning he sees T4 and T2. He focuses, concentrating on a cube that catches the two enemies but also missing Ria and Jason. He outlines the enemies in a vibrant orange, casting Faerie Fire. He tries his best to get the third but is unsure if bending it could catch. He doesn't stay to see what happens as he, yet again, goes another 15 feet back into another set of trees in attempts to gain cover. His concentration still focused as he attempts to peak behind a nearby set of trees to keep the targets in sight.
Brilliant light glitters across the area, the two thugs bursting with new shine.
[T4 & T3 (I forgot one💦]
The half elf notices their captive now holding a knife and doesn’t hesitate, rushing to strike her down. He swipes with his short sword with cunning accuracy, it’s blade finding deep purchase. (I don’t know what’s happening, but that was a natural 20, so sorry)
Ria’s side burns with hot blood as the thug rears back to strike again. (6 slicing damage)
”Coward!” Roars the thug (T3) as he changes from Asphodel to a target well deserving of death. The crossbow tries to get a good aim at Trinity before the trigger is pulled. The bolt zips by and catches him in the shoulder, digging into his flesh. (3 piercing damage).
