The half-elf’s eyes grew larger watching Jason come towards him while Ria glared down. He flinched, but his shoulders seemed to relax at the sound of the new proposition. He scanned the group, inhaling a deep sigh.
”umm...it might take a day or two to get there, sir. I -I don’t mean it as a bad thing, just, well we will be on foot, and the canopy is gonna be thick. This place is not for the light hearted.” His eyes shifted for a fraction of a second to the sea elf still playing with their hair. “We can make it, b-but I don’t know if we will before them.”

Kathleen smiles at the half-elf and the rest of the group. She says motioning to her long bow, "I can be at the back to provide support fire. " She then turns to the half-elf and says, "Maybe while we are walking, you can tell us about what exactly you guys were doing here in the first place."
He nods to Kathleen. "I like your thinking. If it's helpful - I'm pretty hard to nail. Consider me your shield near the middle, you'll need someone to keep this guy from dying completely on the way if something happens." He points to the half-elf." He leads, gets a chunk out of him and bleeds out? We're at a set back, best to have someone else other than him up front. Any takers?"
Ria sighs at the time prediction and slings her bow back over her shoulder. "Not me, I'm a lot better from a distance than up close. Unless it's a complete emergency, I'll stay to the back as well."
The half elf scavenger begins to tell you where to generally go among the large rainforest, and to Trinity’s delight, he sees hoof and claw prints in the dark soil to give confirmation they were going the right way. The birds and insects make silence more of a general white noise as you trail on; only the occasional bird of prey’s screech echoes above the barely visible canopy gives you the gut wrenching feeling there are predators near. Stomachs only knot tighter when a roar reaches your ears from a distance away, new and foreign to many of you, but not to Kathleen.
She knows the sound of an Allosaurus anywhere.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kathleen was walking along quietly. She was nervously humming a tune to herself. When she heard the roar she tells the party, "Careful. That sounds like an Allosaurus. These things can be Nasty!" She focuses her hearing. Can she tell how far the party is from the source of the roar?
As you scan the forest, kneeling to feel the vibrations of the ground as something that large travels, you feel nothing. It’s voice carried enough however, you make a confident guess it must have found the grove you all had left, could be 20 min away.

Ria has been extremely tense ever since leaving the clearing, eyes flicking around the jungle very quickly and her head snapping around at each new movement. At Kathleen's suggestion, she nods. "Seems like a good idea. We don't need any more delays."

Jason keeps up the pleasant smile, he throws a glance at Ria, but shrugs and looks back to the half elf man, "Then we best get moving."

I guess Kath will be in the back but in front of any squishier party members as like a last line of defense for those guys.
Jason will stick close to the half elf man that's leading them. Knowing his type, Jason doesn't fully trust him, so he's keeping an eye on him.
Trinity will take the front.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Katznii will file in somewhere in the middle.
Makani will be directly behind/ beside Trinity
Ria will be behind Makani.
