Upon the knight’s insight, it became clear you were all better off picking up your speed than weave in the brush.
The forest seems dense and unbearable, many of you not accustomed to nearly as much humidity like this. Ria can feel mosquitoes trying to find a gap in her leather and cloak, buzzing around her ears. Asphodel’s skin however is grateful for the excess moisture, especially as the rainforest does what does best.
Rain begins to shower down, coming in large drops or streams from the canopy above. Moisture begins to seep into areas of armor, making the idea of treading on intimidating. Yet still you march, following the half elf’s decisions and confirmed by Trinity’s tracking. . . Until the watertable begins to rise.
[Trinity, roll survival, everyone else roll Constituition saves]
Before they start walking, the man(lol nobody actually knows his name yet) ignites his other blade with electricity, then sheathes them both. He then mumbles something under his breath.
He then crouches down onto all fours and, without warning, undergoes a swift and unexpected transformation. His face lengthens and stretches, becoming more muzzle-like, short black fur sprouts up all across his body, a darker shade going down his back like a mane, and his teeth and nails lengthen and sharpen. He gestures for the rest to follow, and then bounds into the forest.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
The rain and foliage had begun to beat them all down, but very many of you, perseverance won over the exhaustion of heavy terrain. All except for Jason however. Though he is a tough man, his ability on land was minute to that on sea. The weariness looked more and apparent on his face. (Disadvantage on perception + athletics until a short rest)
The houndish figure’s snout peered out of the fine, worn, leather hood eyes looking for anything among the ankle deep pools. Fog seems to mask the canopy now, the rain still very present. Yet still you find the the more elusive tracks. Broken branches, scrapes along trees, cut vines; clearly a group had passed through here not too long ago.
Though the half elf’s directions died down with the storms discombobulating conditions, Trinity leads on.
Ria frowns at the conditions, but continues without complaint, her eyes focused on the four-legged form leading the way, although she's still a bit twitchy at the noises around.
(OOC: Sorry for being inactive. Was on a plane to a different country)
Kath's CON save (If still necessary): 10
As the rain begins to pour Kathleen takes a second to look up and let the water wash over her face. She continues moving, keeping pace with the rest of the party. While doing so, she unties her hair and lets it drop down all the way to her waist. Kathleen never really disliked the rain. It felt good and refreshing to her. Regardless of the toll it might take on my body (Not sure if she's exhausted), the cool downpour seemed to be just what she needed to lift her spirits a bit.
[Trinity, Kathleen & Makani need to make an active perception check]
The only true pleasant thing about heavy rain, was how it seemed to deafen the place. No insects, no birds, just the downpour, small waterfalls created along the large trees. It’s vast beauty is something you all can see, but for Asphodel, something stirs inside your heart, a love for natural beauty of the world.

Despite originally having complaints about his feet hurting and the uneasiness of being in a foreign place - the comfort of the others presence is something he secretly enjoys having. The coolness of the rain reminds him of the ocean. He feels it's refreshing after being above water for so long. The noises at first were haunting - snapping his head to each new sound, now are drowned by the raindrops giving him a sense relief. Still, he wasn't a fan of the mud, every so often looking disgusted at it when his feet sink into it. However beautiful the scene was, his eyes eventually wonder to the other people among the group.
Ria slowly stops frowning, but keeps the entirety of her focus ahead, arms wrapped around herself. She considers pulling her hood up, but leaves it down, her thick red hair darkening even further as it gets soaked from the rain. Every now and then, when the water gets completely unbearable, she uses prestidigitation to dry enough of her hair that water is no longer running into her face.
The two in front of the traveling crew didn’t have much to say, both having plenty to think about. Even with all that was going on around them, it was clear they were being watched. It wasn’t every day that new prey walked through the jungle.
Large coils of reptile scales curled around several tree chunks above them, Trinity caught it right at the corner of his eye. Makani could feel its movements within the vibrations of the air around them. The massive creature seemed to keep its distance, stalking as the many other eyes peering through the pouring rain.
[Trinity sees also a good way to cut time, and you guys make more time]

(Jason would be neutral, but OoC I'd vote speed as well, especially since we're traveling as a group, with metal armored people, and a hostage XP)
