Oni follows his plan with Natasha and faces the gnolls to the right. He casts Hex on the nearest gnoll and casts Toll the Dead right after. Shadows rise up around the gnoll, latching onto him, just as Oni’s crystal releases a surge of crimson energy that wraps around the gnolls mind. The gnoll has disadvantage on Dexterity checks.

As Misha brandished her mighty warhammer in her hand, she remembered what Legion Commander Taetanicus told her once, many years ago.
"Misha Praskovia, you are part of the first, last, and often only line of defense the Legions of Acheron has against Hell. You and that fine piece of Banenite weaponry you hold in your hands is all that is keeping Acheron alive. Most of your comrades will probably not live to see your second year in the Legion Commandant and most of your peers will probably never see Acheron again, but I can guarantee you that when you do fall, with a prayer to the most high and mighty God-General on your lips, you will have earned the right to call yourself a woman."
She smiled, and was not afraid of death. She gripped her shield and warhammer tight.
Jill sees the majority of the villagers completely miss their mark. If that is how they are as archers, I do not want to see how they are as swordsmen. Jill then charges forth to meet her enemy, beckoning for Misha to follow her lead as she swings Ruin at one of the gnolls.

"A lot of missing going on today, ya!" Misha jokes to Jill as she swing her hammer at the closest gnoll. They fight side by side. "See. Misha will help!"

She then looks up into the sky, as if the gnoll she hit had achieved orbit.
Bane, Lord General. You are wise as you are powerful. Thank you for allowing me to honor you with that strike. I will continue to serve You in Your Name and bring you much glory and conquest. I am your faithful servant till all eternity.
(Even though it's mechanically incorrect, I wouldn't think the gnolls would be standing there, waiting for Misha as she runs a full sixty feet. Kablammooo!)
Oni cripples one of the gnolls with his necrotic spell, and Misha finishes the job with an annihilating blow from her warhammer. Jill and Natasha have no such luck.

The remaining five gnolls converge on the caravan, rending with their slavering jaws and stabbing with their jagged spears. Four halflings fall into the dirt, screaming as the gnolls feast. One of the gnolls casts aside a half-eaten body and leaps at Oni, jaws dripping with fresh blood.
((Not to be nit picky but is Oni only able to cast one round of spells while the gnolls ran sixty feet and attacked villagers? Are we not following initative or do these gnolls have haste? Mechanically speaking they should only be able to run to the villagers and not have an attack))

((I'll post my action because I don't think it'll be affected by how Oni's question is resolved))
I'm assuming that the gnoll Grum Hunter's Marked is now dead, so using his bonus action he'll move it onto a new one (If not he'll just shoot again at the first), and fire another arrow.
(From what the DM ruled earlier, both sides are meeting each other halfway so that we don't waste the first round by having the melee combatants spend all of their actions running towards each other.

Thats true. But lets see what the DM says. Maybe we can meet them halfway.
