As I play primarily on my phone, I am available essentially whenever I am awake. The one thing that could slow things down is I am from Australia, so the Time zone difference means I am asleep during some active time for America based players.
Nederic said I could use School of Invention so here's my backstory:
A gnome who fell into wizardry almost by accident. When he was young he worked in a school of arcane study as basically a maintenance man. He was always good at fixing things and figuring out how things worked and taking stuff apart and putting it back together. He was also very small as a young gnome, smaller than usual, so could weasel his way into places others couldn't get to. It was while he was in a tiny space between 2 walls trying to discover where a leak in the roof was coming from when he noticed he could see into one of the classrooms through a crack in the ceiling. Being an ever curious youngster he started trying to discern what was being written in the books by the students. Over the course of several years of... well I wouldn't call it spying but being in the right places at the right times (where my high dex comes into play) he picked up a good amount of knowledge and starting creating his own spellbook and practicing by himself away from prying eyes. Not having the formal wizard training some of his results were unpredictable. He quickly learned that he would need a way to protect himself from his own magic and figured out a way to imbue leather with resistance to force. Hence his arcanomechanical armor was born.
Unfortunately his private studies did not go unnoticed for long. When the masters of the school found out what he had been doing they were furious. Saying that he was a disgrace to the art of wizardry and banished him on pain of death. Ever since he has been on a mission to prove that the study of invention not only has merit but should be recognized as one of the true schools of wizardry.
I'm still working out some of the details. Like I'm thinking of giving him like a missing finger, or an ear or something as a result of one of his failed spells before he figured out the armor.
Ahahah, lol... love it! Alright it's totally a missing ear now! And, he of course has to make detailed sketches of his tinkerings and for a time made a living on the road doing portraits of nobles and their dogs :) This was of course to subtly gain access to their books. "I believe the library would be the perfect setting for this portrait! Give me a just a few moments alone to make sure the light is just so!"
Rivulet is a Water Genasi Fighter and Former Military Member. He is an expert combatant and has seen his fair share of bloodshed and war. These visions haunt him to this day, yet he still would gladly fight for his country, friends and if needed, lay down his life for them.
I've been thinking of trying a Genasi. Never played one before but I think I could work with the planar background RP. For a fighter wouldn't Earth be more suitable for str+ though? Unless you go the survival, perception route in which case you should bump the wis and maybe dump the int?
Hi I'm thinking of playing a human warlock, pact of blades. I got this idea when creating a warlock for one of my players and I thought "Wouldn't it be cool to hold out your hand and have a sword materialise in it". After that I decided I had to try it out.
Amit Voidchewer (my character) was once a normal boy.One day he accidentally made contact with Demogorgon who forced him into a pact. I doubt anyone else can top it with a sadder backstory.
Halfling Ranger - I've played him in Adventurer's League in Dragon Heist and got him to level 6, but I could bring him down to level 5. His original archetype was a gloomstalker, but I'd have to use Hunter for this one since I don't have Xanathar's Guide on DND beyond.
Chazrael is the latest in a line of Teadrinkers who hunt monsters, demons and other creatures who prey on the innocent. He has dedicated his life to ridding the world of monsters and hunting the dark, like his family did before him.
OOC: Chazrael is a character based on the Belmont Clan from Castlevania. I also based his looks - I haven't filled the character sheet description - on Ron Swanson. So in short, he's a halfling version of Ron Swanson who hunts monsters.
Klaus, Investigator Extraordinaire Human Rogue 3/ Wizard 2 Inquisitive/War Mage
BACKSTORY
The boy was a child of the streets, an urchin, of Luskan. He was unlike his peers. They lamented their situation; but he revelled in it. He had the freedom to satisfy his endless curiosity on all things. He eventually learned that others would be interested in what he observed. He soon organized his fellow urchins into a loose pack of spies and informants. He passed information to merchants on what their rivals were researching or what new items were being shipped. He passed information on to the local thieves guild on what merchants were moving what & what their defenses were. He then passed on information to the guards on what the thieves guild were doing. He also worked for the rich & powerful. There was virtually nothing occuring in, around, nor under the city that he was unaware of. He was a spider in the center of a web of observation & speculation; but his speculations were uncannily on point more often then not. He took the name Spider in reference to his this observation. Spider eventually became bored at what he had always considered to be a game. After 6 years, at the tender age of 15 he retired. He simply walked away from the organization he had built as a child.
He travelled to Neverwinter and sought out a former client, a mage, who had asked him to find a precious lost family heirloom in the sewers of Luskan. Spider asked for him to assist him in securing a mentor to apprentice with. Sir Arthur Tinberry, a retired war wizard, recalled the amazing youth that helped him those years ago. He immediately agreed, mostly from curiosity on what this mere youth could accomplish with some training. He had thought the amazing child from his past would have surely met a nefarious end in his previous world of intrigue. That day Spider died & Klaus was born. Klaus proved himself to be an incredibly apt pupil. Within a few years he had mastered what Sir Arthur felt was the rudiments of his mystical education. Sir Arthur secured Klaus a position with the city watch. He worked to discover contraband being smuggled into the city. After a few years, Klaus became bored with this mundane role.
Klaus now calls himself an Investigator Extraordinaire. He is a researcher for hire. He is sought after by scholars who want to investigate a particular incident or item; but don't want to engage in the highly risky venture of investigating the matter themselves. He has developed a reputation for efficiency & results amongst his former clients. He has become highly sought out in the small circle of scholars who do not seek adventure themselves.
Garos was a soldier of high ranking in his community, believing hobgoblins were superior to all other intelligent life, and it was their divine right and duty to dominate lesser life forms through conquest and violence. Garos was persuaded away from the warlike traditions of his race by a hobgoblin philosopher. The philospher preached that, because of their superiority, the duty of each hobgoblin was to spread peace and kindness among the lesser beings. The philospher, and most of his disciples were eventually put to death. Upon the execution of the philospher, Garos left the hobgoblin community to pursue the ideology of his teacher elsewhere.
Hi! I'd like to throw my hat into the ring of consideration. Let me present to you Thalgrun Trollsbane! A Hill Dwarf by birth and inheritor of a hefty giant-slaying legacy! Thalgrun has a lot to live up to being the youngest of 5, but he is nothing if not determined! Our Dwarven hero-in-the-making has already begun weaving his own legacy by helping a town slay an incursion of trolls that plagued them so! But he has far yet to go if he wants to make his own mark and stand out against the accomplishments of his older siblings.
Wow. Didn't expect this many people to also apply in such a short period of time. This is going to be an interesting group of people whoever the dm decides on.

I hope so too. Honestly the dm could have two groups if they really wanted. But that is a lot on one person. We'll just have to wait to see what happens. I will not be able to get on tomorrow so I guess I'll find out on Monday hopefully.

No armor means Druge will have a reasonable carrying capacity.
True. But there's always the risk of you suffocating after 10 minutes. *Laughs*

So far I think the consensus is that we all are generally available during the week and some limited on weekends.
