Sorvas perception to hear Arya (As he is already listening for any noises): 19
If success he will say nothing unless conversation continues, once we stop to rest, he will say something at that point.
Sorvas will say with just a little bit of venom in his tone, Arya, it is better to have a long journey and live then a short journey and die. I have seen death, I know its feel. You hired me as a guide, these are my terms. I take it you have not had many guides in the past. Here is a few words of advice when hiring someone, check the term before agreement. Sorvas will stare at her, unblinkingly and with a hardened expression the whole time, his eyes cold with no emotion.
Lil to Sorvas "Why must it be that everything is out the get us? My grandpa always said "Better to have an owl bear know of you than to walk into it's nest startled and smelling like bacon". And if there are bandits out here justice will come to them. Laws are in place for a reason."
Wraeven takes up the rear of the convoy. He tries to occupy the goblin with minor illusions of things he might like. Wraeven conjures a series of spiders, worms, snakes and frogs. Goblin baby cries when he sees butterflies. Wraeven calms him down after a bit with more spiders, which seen to be his favorite.
Wraeven, when the goblin baby sees the spider. It more than cries: It becomes visibly upset by the spider image and extremely anxious. The other images, butterfly included do hold it's interest and intrigue it as it stretches a hand through the mirage.
Sorvas does hear Ayra's comment, and he also manages to stay on the path he is trying to follow for most of the day, He has a harder time staying tuned in to the environment, being so used to traveling on his own, but Mobya acts as a helpful spotter of fallen logs across the path and random snakes here and there as well as other small forest creatures to avoid. At one point, she pointing out a skunk to Sorvas just in time to lead the party around without incident.
I imagine, with her 9, that Ayra is struggling to acclimate to traveling in this rough of an environment and more than a little distracted processing the gruffness of their guide.
The canopy blocks a good amount of the sun once you get further into the forest, but you can still feel the coolness of the early Spring morning for most of the day. The air is still a bit cold, especially when you all must travel through small gullies, worn into paths, smooth and almost muddy, by water runoff. The day warms a bit as you all progress in the afternoon, and the sun begins to drop closer to the mountains far behind you to the East, past the now distant Barrier and the comfort of The Clearing's Edge. The forest shifts it's texture. Trees are taller, and more shallow pools of standing water begin to appear; you even note a small pond or two as the forest takes on a marshy feel. Small birds chirp their warning cries as your party travels through, but overall the days stays fairly uneventful aside from regular antics between the three little kids and the two big ones ;) (which also explains why Lil and Agozur almost bump into Ayra and Mobya sometimes, being the kind of distracted that only an 8 perception can truly give.
Do you all want to travel past dusk? or begin to look for someplace to make camp?
About an two hours before sunset Sorvas will look for a place to settle down for the night. Once they find a place he quickly sets up his tent and strings with bells around the camp effectively making alarms. He throws a rope over the limb of a tree and ties his bag to the end, hoists it into the air almost to the level of the branch. Once is completed, he turns to the group and says, If we get lucky and there is an intruder, this should give us advanced warning. I am going to hunt and see if we can get lucky for some fresh meat, I will be back within the hour. Sorvas let's the group set up what they need to and he leaves on the prowl with only his weapons, he is also looking for berry berry bushes and other editable food

After camp is made, Wraeven approaches Lil, Agozur Moyba and Ayra and tells them about the Goblin's reaction to spiders. He tries the same interaction with the orc and hobgoblin baby.
Al sets up his spot after clearing the ground of any sticks or rocks [he's made that mistake one too many times not to learn his lesson]. And will volunteer for first watch if nobody else will.
When they arrive at camp, Ayra watches the others set up and then pulls out her new bedroll and places it by Mobya's sleeping space, carefully clearing the ground below it as she watches Alessandair do the same. Keeping a particularly close eye on Sorvas, she notes how expertly he sets up the camp, to ensure that the party is safe and well fed, and tries to process this along with the alarming signals she has picked up from the strange elf. She makes a mental note to discuss her concerns with Wraeven.
Ayra is troubled by the information Wraeven shares about the goblin baby's reaction to spiders. "These young ones may already have experienced darkness I cannot imagine in their short lives" she remarks, unable to fathom what they may have been exposed to before the group found them.
To Ayra (and any others interested) "I fear you are right. I wonder if it means something more? Gobbo didn't cry when he saw snakes, frogs, worms or other scary things just spiders."
((Did other children have similar it different reactions?))

"Why were you and Sorvas having words?"
"It would seem that Sorvas believes I should have confirmed the terms of our agreement more clearly before entering into it. I am ... not certain that it was right to have hired him. He has made some troubling remarks and I find him rather off-putting at times. At other times, though he seems the perfect gentleman as well as very skilled and knowledgeable in his work. It may simply be that I have not had much exposure to people of different backgrounds, however I have not had felt this concern over other members of our party."
To Sorvas, "This town you are taking us to, what kind of town is it? Does it have shops and merchants or is it one of those farming villages, or even a village of guilds and thieves?"
As I dislike towns, I only go there for business, Sorvas replies, However it is a port city so there are ships and traders, merchants and shops are there. I am not sure of any guilds, but in my experience thieves are everywhere. As Sorvas says this last part the edges of his mouth come up in a slight grin, but then it goes back to his composed unsmiling face so fast you doubt you have seen it.
(This conversation happens after his return from his hunting trip I assume)
"I see." Al states without averting his cold gaze. "I suppose we should watch each others backs in case of pickpockets when we get there." As he says this, he cocks his head slightly attempting to see any change in Sorvas' facial expression or mannerisms.
Do as you wish, I guard my possessions at all times,as he says this he moves back over to his bag still tied up in the tree, inspects the knot, and retrieves his pack, inspecting his pack and the tree limb were he retrieved his pack from. You of course can do as you wish, but I recommend a constant vigilance. I know this group not and I am starting to know you, but in the grand scheme of things, how well do you ever know anyone? Even you closest friend will do something to surprise you at times that you were not expecting or react a way you think they would not. I have learned to trust few people and always be suspicious of others. He says gesturing to his pack that he just retrieved. I know none of you touched it this time, as my knot takes a bit to learn, I was not gone long enough for you to learn it and there is no sign of a second location that the bark has rubbed off this dying tree. I do not have much of value here, but what I have I, there is a ever so slight hesitation and a mild emphasis on his next word, earned... I do trust your group in combat because if I die halfway there then you may be lost in an unfamiliar area, so it is in your best interest to keep me alive. It is my best interest to keep the party alive to receive the coin for passage and guidance. I only have one friend in this world Al, and he is not here. One day I may make more friends but it will take some time. Feeling like he said entirely too much about his life as he normally would have not disclosed anything about his past under most circumstances he goes into his tent, props his bow and quiver outside the door, with the door still open he removes his armor and shirt, folds them neatly and sets them by his bedroll and moves over to the fire that was made (It was not specifically stated that it was made but if not he will start making one).
