Thanking Sprauchle, Ayra leaves the cleric's hut having regained her composure.
She arrives to see the party's men still gathered outside in time to hear Agozur expressing regret at giving all his money to the bugbears. She removes from her pocket the pouch of 5 gold that she had retrieved the previous night from the harpy's body and holds it before her in her open hand while gently gripping the emblem of Aerdrie Faenya in the other. Closing her eyes for a moment, she hopes that she possesses the goodness needed to access the item's abilities. Then, focusing on the pouch of gold, she attempts to use levitate to move it from her hand, and up into the air to Agozur. [lol, I just reread the description of levitate and it looks like I can only move the item up and down, so I guess it just hovers in the air above my hand. I will stare at it a bit, confused, and then give it a little push with my finger in Agozur's direction.]
[ooc: the link to the map is giving me a 403 error but I was able to find the map in the sandbox you linked to previously.]
Agozur will graciously accept the money offering a little bow "I'll only take enough to pay for a room but I promise I'll pay you back once the merchant pays us."
With most of the group being reunited, Al will address Agozurs question about the newcomer, "I'd be willing to see what Sorvas has in mind after the merchant deems our service for him completed. A little extra coin for some healing potions and food would go a long way right now."
"Perhaps Mobya should be given the opportunity to join us if we are to discuss our plans. I, for one, think it an important topic and would not want to miss it."
Rushing back into the Edge, Ayra assists Mobya in gathering up the little ones once more and heads back outside. Ayra will hold out one of the babies for someone else to take and and hold onto another, attempting soothingly rock it in her arms.
"I believe that Wraeven and I must go to Tempori, with the little ones." She contributes to the discussion once everyone is gathered outside.
[Does Ayra know what or where Temmpori is? History check 9]
Ayra continues: "Does anybody know what Tempori is? If not, our best way to learn more may be to follow this Sorvas, if you believe him to be trustworthy."
"Yes that makes sense. What of the shimmer on the young ones' feet? It it important for us to learn more about that or shall we simply deliver these young ones to their destination?"
Ayra will now take a closer look at the foot of the young one when is carrying. [Is it still shimmering in the moonlight? Perception 6]
[Man, my rolls suck. Can I even tell if this baby has feet?]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wraeven takes a look at their feet as well.
perception: 6
"I'm hoping that we find an answer in the Spires regarding Tempori. It would be a daunting task to keep them with us all the way to ((the place sorvas mentioned))" Wraeven is quiet a moment, suddenly overawed by the dedication and sacrifice Corru made to keep these children safe and defend them, all by herself. "I'm glad you've been called to help Ayra and you, Mobya, you have done the actual work of taking care of them." He wonders if they had names and if anyone ever knew what they were. Those names were probably lost now.
I don't know why the image link isn't embedding well, but here is the sandbox to get to it. (for the record, I am not a tech dinosaur, so this is extra frustrating.)
Wraeven your Shield of the Shadar-Kai Shogee, looks like this, with an ever so slight deep purple patina.
After attuning to the weapon, a sense of comfort comes over you calming some of that inner turmoil over your past (you gain +1 to wisdom saving throws), and when you wield it, a protective presence gives you the ability to use shield once per short rest. It also has reach 10ft, finesse.
Wraeven takes one of the small cubs? (presumably the one that Ayra was holding out to the group?)
The two of you look closer and even with your 6, Ayra, you both notice a distinct difference from the last time you looked at their feet. You remember a black, spider-like tattoo over the foot yesterday when you were introduced. Now, that seems to have been dissolved by the moonlight and a new symbol shimmers silvery, though the glow has died down at this point. Neither of you recognize the symbol on the cubs feet though.
Also, Alesandair would remember that Crackle (the branched innkeeper) seemed to indicate room being covered, but food and drink costing, in case he wanted to let Agozur know...............
Sorvas, what are you doing at the outskirts of this four building border outpost?
Mobya as you headed out, you note the Merchant signaling Lil, Mud, and Bacon to head upstairs followed by Silv'ar and Morn.
[So I currently have Sorvas on the north side of town in a corn field essentially, and standing outside The Edge next to Mobya's bedroll, the rest of the party discusses options--Wraeven, Ayra, Alesandair, Agozur, Mobya, and the three cubs--a baby orc, a baby hobgoblin, and a baby goblin.]
Robed figures move about in the night passing on the road stepping into The Edge to play a game. From time to time as you all stand out in the night, an uncomfortable side glance is cast toward the tall firbolg or the stout dwarven druid.
Ayra is amazed to see that the new mark on the cubs' feet has completely replaced the old. "Perhaps this new mark reflects that a change has already taken place in the young ones' paths" she remarks hopefully.
”Since I am in no capacity to ensure the safety of the wee ones on my own, I will agree to follow Sorvas if you all are also going. We are stronger as a large group anyway, both for our own sake as well as the babies’...Did Sorvas name his price for his “help” yet? And what about the Merchant? While we were inside he seemed and sounded either sad, or depressed, or worried, I couldn’t quite tell which, but he’s been way too quiet and subdued for the past few hours”
Gesturing towards Arya and Wraeven "Not that I don't trust in your skill but I believe that my path was meant to cross with these babies."
to Wraeven "Free rooms you say? It's kind of embarassing but I have a way of communicating with plants and animals.... although I can't understand what they're saying to me."
To Mobya "We're obligated to complete our mission, if don't stand by our word how are we to expect destiny to stand by us?"
(Sorvas dislikes city's and gathering places due to backstory and likes to be in the open as much as possible, also easy to hide in a cornfield if someone comes for him. Also free dinner. XD)
Surprised by Ayras new ability to levitate items, Alesandair just looks on in awe before remembering the tree blight signaling that the rooms have already been paid for. "I believe you can keep your new found wealth, Ayra, the innkeeper has refused my payment for board suggesting that our stay has already been covered."
To Mobya and Agozur: "We are very fortunate to have found companions dedicated to following through with our quest." then to Alessandair and Lil: "I hope you will both consider remaining with us as well, once you have all fulfilled your obligations to the merchant, of course."
"The merchant, I think he is simply wary of the unwanted attention our group is attracting here. We are a ... more colourful group than the rest of the Inn's patrons. I am a little concerned myself that this may become more of an issue as we get closer to the city."
Upon hearing Arya mention our colorful group Agozur will snap his fingers and morph into a Blonde 6' 1" rough looking farmer "Well shall we get some rest?"
Lil to no one in particular, more just a general observation to the room. With a kind of trailing off voice and an unfocused gaze as if in internal debate
"Have you ever experienced on horseback or wagon, with a journey in mind, setting out on a daily trip, only to have your mind wonder away from you and before you know it you arrive at your destination with no recollection of how you got there or what path the horse actually took. As if Time forgot about you and just decided to throw you back in to reality at will. My great grandma used to call it the Great Brain Hiccup back in the day, grandpa used to get lost tilling the fields every harvest, and she would be right there at the window "There goes your grandpa again, lost his mind to the Great Brain Hiccup" ... a curious thing the mind....... "
Shaking his head and snapping back to the present with his eyes focusing again "Arya your offer is gracious and of course I would be very interested in continuing on, besides someones got to keep Agozur inline when he starts talking destiny to radishes and cabbage"

Just wondering for the future.

Despite Ayra's learned background, she can't seem to remember anything with that name attached from the lessons of her private tutor.
