As Julia flings the cupboard's door open, Ling skids to a halt. Tunnels! Perfect for fighting strix! She glances behind herself and shouts: "Maxim, get out of here and don't stop, we'll have the demons on our heels and will try to draw them out!" She hears Alaris speak and the loud noise of glass shattering. Ah, so she did make it. Never replied to my text though. Mundanes start screaming in panic and confusion, a child starts crying. This is not good... she thinks and whips around. Next, she hears Nikolai destroying one of the demons and taunting them to come after him. She can't help but grin, the thrill of battle exciting her as it always does. The noise of the strix demons is deafening. Before she runs back into the restaurant, she quickly draws her stele and activates her Accuracy rune.
She comes to a halt next to Nikolai and draws her bow. Outside, more and more strix are amassing, too many for them to fight. Ling takes a deep breath and focuses on the creature right on front of her, ignoring the others. She looks right at its ugly head, dark feathers plastered to its forehead, dripping a tar-like substance. She fires her arrow and hits it directly in the forehead, exploding the demon into grey smoke and leaving only a clump of feathers behind where it just stood. Ling feels a rush of excitement and quickly tries to draw another arrow. Overconfident from this easy kill, she does not take time to steady herself and manages to get the arrow stuck in her long hair as she pulls it out. It clatters to the ground and Ling curses under her breath.
As she draws another one, she shouts over the screeching: "We've got to get out of here or get these people out, we can't take that many!"
Caio's hand moves from the chained weapon on his side to pull out the compound bow at his back, snapping it out to it's full size with a thrust. "What's down in those tunnels? Can we make the people go first then cover their backs?" Before notching an arrow, Caio pulls out his stele to activate the precision rune on his hand. His first shot soars towards the demon's head but it jerks down to avoid it, then as the creature pops back up, the second arrow sinks into the thing's throat. A slight spray of dark ichor spurts out before the strix disintegrates.
Nikolai let's out an exaggerated sigh. "I thought you guys were getting out of here?" He says to Caio and Ling as they both appear back at his side. "Don't worry, I've got an idea on how to get these people out of here. They're already terrified of the shattered glass, I'm just going to... enhance that fear a little." Ling spots that mischievous smirk that Nikolai gets right before he does something either dangerous or cheeky.

Alaris Forien strolls through the chaos, glass shards bouncing off their leather coat. One shard opens a deep scratch across their cheek, and blood starts trickling down. "Not the face, darlings - that's a very bad idea." One arm reaches under the coat to draw out an ornate bow with silvery adamas worked into the material -- the other hand finds a darker silver stele, twisted and knotted like a branch off an ancient tree. Alaris touches the tip of the stele around their right eye to activate their Hunter's Mark rune. Storing the stele, that hand draws an arrow from the quiver attached to Alaris' right leg.

Alaris's first arrow takes a strix through the throat and it dissolves into ashes and mist. The second strikes its neighbours wing, but does not kill the demon.
Julia groans at the altruism of the nephilim and shoves Maxim down into the tunnels.
"Go!" She shouts, before turning and stalking back into the restaurant.
She pushes between Nikolai and Caio grumbling under her breath about stupid shadowhunters and saving their skins. Her mouth stretches and darkens and her limbs bulge as she walks, until finally she breaks into a run, leaping over table half-woman half-wolf as she pounds towards the strix Alaris wounded.
The remaining strix surge forwards into the restaurant. Two go straight for Julia. She dodges the slashing claws of the first, but the second rakes deeply into her chest. She ignores the wound and lets out a bestial roar of rage back at the demon. The other two strix swoop forwards towards the shadowhunters, completely ignoring the screaming mundanes cowering before the spray of glass. Behind them ten more move forward out of the street, landing from above or coalescing out of further crows.
Nikolai grins as his companions begin fell the strix rather rapidly; however, as Julia enters the fray nearly a dozen more strix materialize... 'Stick to the plan.' He glances around the strix and spots a nearby vehicle, parked directly in front of the shattered window. Suddenly his pupils and irises fade from both eyes, leaving them a strange milky white as his hands begin to move in an eerily rapid fashion. He flips open the leather pouch of his shoulder harness containing the deck of major arcana, without even looking at the cards he flips through them and blindly flips up The Moon...He touches his index finger to the card and with a quick flick of his wrist sends a thin line of fire springing forth from his fingertip towards the car outside. The vehicle erupts into illusionary flames, visible to all including the mundanes. Then just as quickly as he had removed the tarot cards, they were back into the holster. He turns to wink at his companions and suddenly shouts as loudly as he can. "FIRE! Everyone out the back! Quickly!" He begins gesturing wildly towards the kitchen area and the back door.
"Nice trick!" Ling shouts at Nikolai before moving out of the way to let the mundanes run towards the exit. "The strix are only after us, let's retreat to the tunnels - Julia!" Hoping the werewolf will listen in her rage, Ling focuses on the demons that have moved up towards the shadowhunters. She swiftly stows her bow and draws her Jian and a seraph blade instead. "Leliel!" She whispers and the blade comes to life.
In a flurry of light and metal, Ling takes out the first Strix with her Jian, slicing it cleanly in half. Spinning through the smoke it leaves behind, she stabs at the second demon with her seraph blade. She manages to hit it right in the chest, twisting her blade as the creature shrieks in pain. Ichor erupts from the deep wound and Ling jumps back to avoid the spray of corrosive liquid.
Caio grins as he watches Ling decimate the demons with her blades. She's clearly in her element and could easily finish off the strix, but they aren't here to have fun cutting down baddies, and the swarm is still growing outside. With this in mind, Caio fires a shot at the wounded strix, popping it like a balloon. Then he pivots and shoots the strix remaining next to Julia, concern returning to his face as he notices her wound. "Everyone! This way!" he shouts, helping to herd the mundanes towards the back.

Julia savagely tears into the remaining strix near her and it collapses to the ground in a pile of gore, its blood sizzling on her hardened skin. Seeing that the shadowhunters have no seen sense, she turns and moves back up next to Alaris, snarling as she goes.
The mundanes scream and shout and run for the back exit, even as the strix snarl and speed forwards across the restaurant. Many gather around Ling, Alaris and Julia, while more gather on the street outside.
Hearing all the screams and madness of chairs and tables scraping across the floor, Nikolai peeks his head around the corner and spots all his Shadowhunter companions surrounded by the strix. 'Julia is right... All this fuss for them.' He steps out into view, claps his hands together again with the same dark energy coalescing into the palms of his hands and curling around his fingers. He spots one wounded strix near Alaris and targets that one first. He extends his hand, sending the energy streaking through the hectic restaurant, and blasts the head completely off the demon, which quickly dissipates into that grimy smoke. His second blast takes another strix in the wing, staggering it, but not quite killing the demon! "It is time to go!" He shouts and steps back near the stairs to ensure none of those foolish mundanes in their panic try to come down his way, thus starting this pointless endeavor all over again. He begins gesturing towards the people fleeing in his direction towards the rear door in the kitchen. "Quickly now, out into the alleyway!"
Strix rush up towards them like a black tide, nearly blocking out the light from the street lamps outside. Nikolai, Alaris and Caio are taking them down left and right, but even more are forming outside and behind them, yet more ravens hit the ground, moulding together into more demons. We need to get out of here right now! Ling slashes the wing of the strix to her left as she backs away towards the corridor. She lifts her seraph blade to hit it again, but has to jump back instead as another one lunges for her. The creature barely misses. Ling reaches Caio's side and faces the strix again, hoping that the mundanes will get out of there quickly.
Caio continues his barrage, felling another two demons with bursts of smoke and feathers. Seeing the people rushing towards the back, and the demons seeming to only be interested in the shadowhunters and downworlders, Caio takes a step back. "Come on, lets fall back!" He shouts to his comrades above the chaos.
