"Well Kjørynreis," Lerikyn says as he follows him to the southern iron door in the skeleton's room, "If you don't want to open doors and would rather call us pathetic and such, stand behind me and I'll do it myself."
He picks up his pace to get ahead of Kjørynreis and goes to open the door himself. Before doing so, he casts mending on the broken hinge to make the door sturdy once again. He calls upon the weave to find all inconsistencies in the hinge. As the weave flows over the object, it mends all cracked and broken sections making the door solid once again. "We don't want this falling and causing a racket, now... do we?" He says, right before opening the door to reveal...
Cliste pretty much watches as they reveal an overly hot room and then head to the south door. It is unclear if she is amused by any of the banter about who should open doors or what Slithy said, but she does appear to have cooled off a bit. She shifts ready with the hand crossbow to aim through the door Lerikyn is opening. She sees....

The south door from the room once occupied by less-than-dead skeletons leads to an unusual looking hall clad in gilded metal plating along the ways and a floor and ceiling of large obsidian slabs. This hall shows much less wear from its age, with the golden embossed filigree on the walls glittering and dancing with the torchlight.
The hall looks to proceed 30' south before bending west.

"This is more like it!" Lerikyn bellows. He gestures for Cliste to come forward, "If you wouldn't mind doing your search-dance, lass, thank ye." Lerikyn makes sure to take up his position in the rear as the party proceeds through the hall.
Rea stood still for several moments after the battle was done, breathing heavily. The monk was feeling useless all around, so she just followed the rest of the party quietly. She still held her torch aloft, casting dancing shadows across the hallways and rooms. Rea didn't want to get in the way, which was exactly what had seemed to be happening earlier.
"People rarely make traps look ugly," the young woman murmured to herself, a sense of dread filling her. Rea desperately wanted to sit down and meditate for long enough to calm the racing of her heart, but that wasn't exactly an option when traveling with a group.
She snuck up next to Reis, nudging him with her elbow a little bit. "Stop drooling every time you look at the thief," she whispered to her friend, giving him a little wink. She was struggling to cling onto humor in this strange situation.
Cliste doesn't appear to react at all to Lerikyn's way of sending her of to search or any of the other things she thinks she notices from the looks of the crew. After all, none of them were in a situation they expected. Of the crew, only she and Lerikyn had even been heading here, or at least the Citadel, to begin with. To be honest, who knew if they would even make it out alive or if they did, would it have been worth it to the crazy man that popped them in here?
With that thought on her mind she took a good look down the hallway before stepping into it. She took her time investigating for any kind of trap and trying to discern what she could of this far more fabulous decor. Once reaching the corner she listens a moment and then slowly peaks around it.

The design of the hall sets off alarm bells in Cliste's mind. This design is tailor-made for hiding panels, doors, traps, compartments, or basically anything else the designer would want to conceal. With the walls, ceiling, and floor all made up of plates and slabs, literally any given square foot could be hiding something. To thoroughly inspect this long length of hall would take weeks.
She knows she'll have to be judicious about where she searches, using training and instinct to guess what tricks the designer might have had in mind...

Cliste swears in gnomish having only made one step into the hall during her investigation. The place could just be really cool designing or a huge puzzle to keep people out with any number of traps and fun things.
She steps back out of the hallway and turns to the party. "This could just be cool design or a trap puzzle that could take days to sort out. I don't suggest blundering in, but I can try my best to investigate for the worse things. I even suggest tying a rope to me so you can yank me out when something happens. I'll even mark where I stood so you step where I do. That is my suggestion. Also if we do the rope idea it needs to be taut enough not to touch the floor just in case."
She turns back to look down the hallway actually relishing the possible challenge it entailed, but wondering what could really happen.

"We ain't gunna risk ya, girl. Hold a moment..." Lerikyn calls forth Mystra's power once again to detect magic in the corridor. Upon doing so he feels the presence of the weave wash over him. Focusing on that presence, he sees the whole corridor light up with the aura of Abjuration magic.
"Oh dear," he murmurs, "This hallway is warded to all hells. There may be a way to disable it, but not without spending a significant amount of time. Worse yet, it might activate each time we pass through the hall." He lets the aura fade and turns to the rest of the dungeon. "I'm not gunna let this spell go to waste, so I'll be a few moments as I inspect the rest of this place," he announces as he begins to explore the rooms that have already been discovered for any pings of magic.
He calls back to the others as he leaves, "If ye'll can figure something out without dropping dead, give it a go!" .
Cliste nods her head. "Why am I not surprised? We shall see if they are as good at this as your father, but this one looks pretty interesting."
She remains at the doorway just outside the hallway looking at the first ten feet closely. "Rea, come up here with that torch. Might as well look at this with decent light. Let's not pass the threshold with it, but maybe I can see some details that stand out in this first ten feet. I know stepping in didn't initially start anything, but let's take a good look while Lerikyn is verifying if any magic is behind us while his spell lasts."

While the rest of the group argued about the best approach to solving this room, Kjørynreis knew of an answer that would solve their issue. Disappearing, he returns a minute later from the other room with a large piece of stone, broken off from somewhere. "Why not just toss this and set off the traps? No need for magic. No need for fancy footwork. Everyone lives!"
"Unless the magic can detect the difference from said rock and a living thing. It would find pressure plates possibly depending on their sensitivity to weight. We could make it slide or roll," she wasn't sure what it do with its broken state, "and see what happens. I'm not thinking it is set for cave ins with how it is setup. I think it was meant to be properly traversed by those that knew it. Of course, I could be wrong, but that seems more logical to the work."

Lerikyn eventually returns as the others are inspecting the passage. He pipes in, "Well if ya can't figure out what to do, we can go sweat our arses off in the other doorway."
He looks at the giant boulder that Kjørynreis is carrying, "Might as well toss it in, boy. At the very least it'll let off any of the mechanical traps in the area. Treat it like a game of Trollic - Where you roll a stone sphere down the table to knock over your adversary's tankards." He gestures sharply to show the stance that Kjørynreis should take.
"What would happen if Reis tried to throw me to the other end of the hallway, while I held a rope," Rea mused aloud, not entirely focused on the actual task at hand. "I bet I'd get pretty far..." The monk began to follow the little gnome as he left the hallway, but stopped when she reached her friend's side. She didn't want to leave the paladin alone in a hallway full of traps he was about to try setting off.
"Honestly, I say we leave it and try the other door. Or we could stuff the bones in a sack and throw THOSE down the hallway. Either way, we should do something. The tedium here is starting to be more deadly than anything else..." Silthy says with crossed arms and a petulant look.
Rea's comment made Kjørynreis furrow his brow. "Throw you across the room? When we helped each other sneak into the kitchen and I had to toss you up to the window... Well, that was a special exception. I don't know how I threw you so far. How strong do you think I am, anyway?" She had instilled a little bit of confidence in his abilities, but not that much. "Meh, either way, that wouldn't work, and I'm not about to put you in danger when this rock can do the same thing."
Nodding, in understand, Kjørynreis raised the rock, imitating Lerikyn's stance as best as he could. "May this rock destroy the tension! ... And the traps." he shouted, and rolled it to the best of his abilities down the hall.
Reis heaves the chunk of stone debris into the hall, which crunches against and fractures the obsidian floor. It comes to rest just over 15 feet away, having made a mess but causing no other obvious effect.
