"Concur. I'll go first." The fighter will take point and walk cautiously up the stairs to the next level, his shield up and ready and the magic weapon held tightly and ready to strike! He looks intently for signs of an ambush or potential traps, letting theothers concentrate on looking at the plants for the rare black orchid.
The party moves into the south east garden area (5b).
The plants in this enclosed garden are like nothing you’ve ever seen. Their shapes are fantastic, and their colors are like gems sparkling in the sun. Enclosed by 5-foot-high walls, this strangely beautiful garden imparts a sense of serenity.
A message is deeply scratched into south the wall. Dr A studies it for a few minutes and is able to decipher it. Written on the south wall in Old Omuan are the words “Great Ubtao, free me!”
The rich aroma of the multitude of plants and flowers in the garden begin to overwhelm Dr A and Timber. They begin to feel nauseous and sick and Dr A quickly realizes that they have both been poisoned by the spores of the plants around them.
The party realizes that in walking in the garden they have brushed against a few beautiful but deadly plants. They start to tremble and attack!

OoC: As usual thinking about potential hiding spots. Thinking maybe going halfway down the stairs would block line of sight? Then possibly backing up further might open up a clear shot? Guessing the garden area isn't thickly foliaged enough to hide right there. Or possibly the cluster of bushes (trees?) to the direct southeast of the garden area?

You will find plenty of light cover in these gardens.
"Stop and smell the flowers, they say...well wait until I tell them about THIS!" Kirinar gripes as he swings at one of the beautiful, but potentially deadly, flowers.

"Awwe man, all we wanted was a simple flower and now we are attacked by more plants!"
Feeling a little woozy from the plant spores he focuses the raw magical energy inside to help him focus for this attack. (Once per long rest, you can gain advantage on one attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. Before you regain use of this feature, the DM can have you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table after you cast a 1st level or higher spell. You then regain the use of this feature.) - 14
For a moment, as his focus clears he pools as much warbling energy as he can into his hand before launching it at the closest plant. Chaos Bolt @ level 2

OoC: Have we seen a wild magic surge actually happen yet? I, for one, would like to. :-)
Keyleth pulls out her magic serpent tongue dagger and takes a swipe at the plant in the center, before adopting an evasive stance and backing away carefully to the west (BA disengage).

A familiar spear flies through the air, landing on the remaining plant.
Attack 11 Damage 9
“Take that, you stink weed!” Looking up you see Ransyl, a little worse from wear, twigs and beads in his beard, his leather armor stained with blood. While he looks worn, his eyes and smile are bright with the unexpected homecoming to the friends he had deserted for his selfish pride.
”You all are a sight for sore eyes.” Ransyl’s dwarven form nimbly jumps down to the garden area with a battle axe in one hand and a shield in the other.

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
At all times Dr Arbutaveyu is looking out for scripts that might have been carved into the walls etc. He then follows the other two.

Did Dr A manage to find the magic user’s spell book?
concentrating as he is on the message, Dr A probably does not see whatever generated the CON save requirement
