“I think I’ve figured it out, but want to check ... vulture to be Wongo’s friend.”
"Hmm... ok... so assuming we are meant to take these at.... the zebra's friend that starved to death.
Dr A turns to Keyleth "you're obviously more than a pretty face, as for you Kirinar, nobody would call you a pretty face but you've certainly got it up there! I agree it is the boar!"
Kirinar listens to the others, but shakes his head side to side. "If we think that each animal can have more than one friend, then this puzzle can't be solved. The only thing we know for sure is that the Zebra absolutely is not Wongo's friend, because its only friend died. So we either have to assume that each animal only has one, or no, friends, or we might as well roll a die to pick, or pour water in all four places at once."
Keyleth pipes up again. "You're probably right, Kirinar, that we should assume the puzzle is solvable. I will say for the record that I think the clues are not sufficient to supply us with a unique answer: Does the zebra have a friend, if its friend starved to death? I would be inclined to say no, since a dead friend is no longer a friend. In which case the vulture must be referring to the zebra. But your instinct, Kirinar, is to assume that the vulture isn't referring to the zebra since the zebra did have a friend. But on my interpretation I don't think there's a solution at all. So assuming there is meant to be a unique solution, let's suppose your reading is right.
That would mean that either the lion or the boar has no friends. The lion ate one of the boar's friends, and so, going with the reading that a dead friend still is a friend, that means it's the lion who has no friends. And so we can rule out the lion as a candidate for Wongo's friend. So we're down to the boar or the vulture.
Now I don't see any reason why these creatures couldn't have friends who are not Wongo or one of the other creatures, but perhaps we are meant to assume that the friends referred to are within the set before us. In that case, one of the creatures starved to death and another was eaten by the lion. The lion ate the boar's friend... which doesn't mean it didn't starve to death later, but again, I may be overcomplicating things. So let's suppose it wasn't the lion who starved to death. The vulture is alive, so that leaves the boar who starved to death. And that means the lion ate the zebra. The zebra had only one friend, who I suppose now we can conclude was the boar.
If the boar starved, then the boar can't be "Wongo's friend (who currently) knows where to pour the water". So I guess that leaves the vulture?
This is not a very satisfying puzzle. But at least that feels like a solution."
If no one objects, Keyleth will take some water and pour it into whichever receptacle was highlighted by the vulture mask.
Kirinar will look through the vulture mask, then pour some water into the appropriate hand or foot of the su-monster statue. "You all should stay outside, just in case this goes awry..."
Kirinar looks through the mask of the vulture. Through this mask, he sees a ray of blue light falling onto the left hand of the statue.
As he pours water into the left hand of the statue Wongo’s puzzle cube appears by magic on the statue’s head.
Kirinar
When the puzzle cube appears you hear a snarling, disembodied voice say, “Take the prize and curse your friends, or fight my children to claim it. What is your choice?”
"I will never curse my friends! Send your wretched offspring if you must, but the prize is ours!" Kirinar says to the statue, drawing his weapon and gripping his shield tighter. "Seems we have some company coming...best prepare to meet them..." he says to Keyleth and Timber.

As Kirinar yells his defiance Dr A and Ransyl watch from outside the shrine as 4 Su-Monsters suddenly appear in the room, clinging to the statue like startled children to a protective parent. The su-monsters leap down and attack. At the same time the the portcullises slam shut over the entrance corridor locking Dr A, Ransyl and Artus out.
Initiative - Dr A 10, Keyleth 15, Kirinar 4, Ransyl 12, Timber 6, Artus 9,
Artus immediately grabs onto Ransyl "Come with me friend, your ax will be needed" as he draws his dagger with his other hand. The two of you then step through a dimension door and appear inside the shrine.

No one looked through the vulture mask, you only read the inscriptions inside.
Keyleth only looked through the Lion's mask.

So where is everyone at in or out of the shrine when this happens?
And who is pouring as both Keyleth and Kirinar have both said they are doing it?
Keyleth will let Kirinar do the pouring, but will stay inside as he does.
