As quickly as it started, the combat ends. Kirinar looks at Timber with a new respect and nods his head towards the sorcerer. "Impressive pyrotechnics, Timber! Glad you're on our team..." The fighter will check the non-BBQed wizard for any information or clues - or perhaps stone tablets with animal gods carved on them!
"Give me a moment Keyleth"Dr A says. He then starts calls out "Oh great Mystra, my colleagues and I have incurred some singing whilst battling these red robeded hairless servants of the false magic, please grant us the beneficence of your healing magic"before intoning "Mystra heal us"every round. After 10 minutes Kirinar, Ransyl, Timber, Artus and himself are bathed in a silver blue radiance and each take 13 from the Prayer of Healing.
After he finishes he looks around at the others "ahbut do you feel a wee bit better now?"

While Kirinar is waiting for Dr. A's prayer for healing to conclude, he will slow his breathing and quickly tend to his wounds, rubbing some salve from a small glass container in his backpack on the burns. He also drinks deeply from his waterskin, replenishing some of the fluids he has lost through blood and sweat. (Second Wind to heal another 15 hp.)
After a bit of healing you search the bodies. You find a couple heavy crossbows with 39 bolts on the thugs along with an assortment of cheap daggers and a scimitar on each. They have a total of 28 gold pieces.
On the Red Wizards you find a cube like the ones you have collected. On it is a carved rabbit.
You also find some daggers and 66 gold pieces. You don't find spell books so you figure they must have a camp nearby that they keep these things at.
Timber smiles, "Thanks! But I am still only really learning."
After looking through the collected items, he speaks up. "It looks like these guys may have been set up somewhere. Maybe they have collected more artifacts that would be of interest to us. Should we find their camp?"
Keyleth starts circling the area trying to determine where the wizards may have come from. The roads are fairly clean due to the nearly daily rainfall that occurs. Eventually though she finds some boot scuffs, likely from the men that were with the wizards, and is able to determine that they came from the south.
You recall from seeing the city from the hoth ridge before descending that there was a stairway that lead into the city on the south side. You think you are fairly close to it now.
Making your way south you see smoke drifts lazily from a walled compound. The gate lies in splinters, and scorch marks deface the buildings. Near the center of the compound is a plaza littered with charred human corpses. One of the corpses is being torn apart by a pack of wild dogs.
"Guess we know where the wizards were before we met up with them...wonder who these people were?" He will look around the area, being careful to not disturb the dead.
Keeping clear of the dogs you look around the area. You see about 30 corpses total with a couple wearing what look to have been red robes.
A glaive has been thrust into remains of a burned-out pyre. Charred snake skulls and blackened inhuman vertebrae are lashed to the spear. On a wall nearby, a symbol has been daubed in ash: a snake curled in a spiral, gripping a circle in its jaws.
Dr A recognizes the sigil on the wall as the symbol of Dendar the Night Serpent devouring the world. He recalls hearing of a Ubtao-worshiping cult in the jungles of Chult. They thought she lived in a mountain and would emerge one day to devour the sun, and it was their sacred duty to battle her.
While checking the remainder of the encampment you find nothing else of value. The compound has been stripped clean of supplies. The dogs scatter away from you and generally leave you alone as you check the compound.
"Well, nothing else to see here. Let's head east over the wall and then proceed back north, checking our each area that might hold some additional clues - and tiles!" He'll take the lead when the group is ready and walk them south-east a bit to get around the edge of the dividing wall, then east to look into the lava pit, only to turn north and head to the next interesting set of buildings.
