Henry looks at Scamper, gives a look like he is about to make a snarky comment before pausing, finishing his Wine and turning to Stream, "A refill would be lovely." he asks as he fishes out the required coins for a second glass. He then turns back to Scamper, "Stream is aware of our business here. By order of Gimdir, we are taking this guide." He says as he slides over the note towards Scamper and Jasuri so they can read it. "Stream says he is a perfectly fine guide, and if you read the note, you will see that if help him with a side quest, he will wave his fee."
As people start to take their seats around the table, if Gimdir is clearly preparing a seat for their guide who will be coming to meet them, Scamper will sit there assuming he's trying to be nice to make up for being mean to her before, then run off to the opposite side of the table when he shoos her away.
Jasuri pulls out a small pouch of pebels and pours them out on the table. He moves them between a few piles and stares at them inently.
“Then that would be 120 - no 150 gold for a guide, ya. We might need to go after these noots. I don’t know how much Gold your all possessing, and I won’t be one to ask those questions, but that would be... (he slides the pebels around into new piles and then pauses)...30 gold each.”
He slides the pebels back into the bag and puts the bag back in his pack with a small flourish.
Gimdir watches Jasuri counting, and comments, "It be 5 gold per day, minimum 30 days. 150 gold minimum by Jasuri's count. But the place we be seeking be far to the south. Who be saying that be only taking 30 days there and back? We may be needing more gold if we be paying."
Henry sits down at the table with his glass of wine. "I don't want to distract you guys from your wonderful counting here. But I cant see why we shouldn't help him? It will save us a lot of money, get us a guide and most importantly we will have a friend in the jungle of Chult. Trust me when I say the last part IS important."
(Not that Henry could hear what Jasuri said, but i should clarify that Henry just enjoys stirring the pot and his comment is more a poke at our fellow dwarf than his prejudice towards the race.)
(OOC Sorry about that delay. Henry--It is a little after midday)
When she sees you all sitting down, the bartender shrugs and goes upstairs. A short time later you hear shouting and mumbling from upstairs. You then see a large albino dwarf stumble down the stairs. The dwarf is wearing gashed and scarred armor made from what the spatulate bones of giant reptiles. A large wooden maul engraved with the title "Skullbash" is slung over his shoulder. When he sits down at your table, he introduces himself as Musharib
"I haven't had customers for a while. I may have gotten back into the ole' 'day sleeping' habit, eh. His eyes lock on Gimdir as he speaks"So how can I be of service to you fellows? "
At the bar, Scamper climbs into the highest empty chair she can find and holds out her clawed hand to Stream.
"Hi Stream, we are Scamper. We are looking for the very best guide in all of Chult to find the... the..."
She looks up at Jasuri, for reassurance.
"the Soulmonster."

You can see Scamper mouthing the words as she reads them.

Gimdir reinforces the decision by proclaiming, "Can't be abandoning Moradin's Gauntlet to firenoots! Never be minding the sold monster malarkey!"
(Yes, replying to the fact that she said the 2 weren’t good. Jerico is feisty.)
The Tabaxi nods her head.
"Musharib is a fine guide. You'll find him upstairs. He might be asleep, but I can bring him to you this morning if you want to talk to him."
Gimdir just nods and looks around for a free table big enough for everyone. Well, maybe everyone except the kobolds.
(it's early afternoon, yes?)

Scamper's ears perk up when she hears the word "friend."
"We would very much like to have another friend!"
~♡~
Henry grins, "He will be another dwarf though."
"We like dorfs, if they are our friends."
Scamper tilts her head, a bit confused.

Jasuri lowers his voice so only scamper can hear.
"It seems some people in these parts aren't so fond of (he chuckles to himself) 'dorfs', even if they would be friends."
