"Well I prefer more humanoid companions myself, but to each their own." Morrig shakes his head slightly moving towards where he has learned King Battlehammer is "I think we should hurry the quicker we get there the better."
(OOC: I can't see the dice roller on my mobile version)
Chazrael nods at the guard "Chazrael and as far as business goes that is for your king to hear. I cannot speak for my companions but my business doesn't concern you."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"I am Morrig Fireforge, we are here to assist with what has been going on under the great forge. And this stony one supposedly has some warning for Bruenor"
As they walk, Cori breaks off small pieces of her rations, and hands it to Daedalus as long as the bird stays on her shoulder. The whole magic summoning went over her head completely, but seeing the magical talons earlier, she's more than willing to please the hawk. While her attention was primarily on the bird, she occasionally looks around to see where they were going. As the guards block their way, Cori pushes herself to the front to greet them.
"Good day! The name's Cori Bluestone. Brick here says he knows what's going on below. Y'know, in the mines and the like. At least that's what he said. The rest of us are interested in helping out. Because we're nice like that!"

"You want an audience with King Battlehammer?" The dwarf guard guffaws. "Dwarf nobles have to secure an audience months in advance. What makes you think that what you have to say would interest the king? "
"I'm sure the king would like to speak to a Cleric that still has his prayers answered by the all-father" Morrig then pull out his amulet of Moradin and casts the light on his hand
The dwarf guard gasps. "I'll see what I can do." He mutters, disappearing through the massive iron doors of the keep. He reappears a few minutes later and jerks his thumb over his shoulder. "King Battlehammer will see you now. But first we'll need to take your weapons. They'll be returned to you on your departure."
"Fine. It's not like we'll need them anyways. Give me a moment." Cori sets her backpack on the ground. She opens her bag and begins to rummage, but then her hand moves out of the bag, instead unbuckling the rapier and whip by her side. She places them into her pack and securely clasps it close before handing it to the guard. "It might be better if you just take my whole pack."

As her compatriots introduce themselves, Wazzock pouts a bit, thinking that maybe they have not enjoyed her previous spiels. She, unbuckles her sword belt which holds her rapier and shortsword, pulls two daggers from her boots, unbuckles a hammer from her backpack and wraps them in a blanket and hands them over. After thinking about it for a moment hands her bag of thieves tools and crowbar over as well.
Suppose you'll be wanting these as well.
She frowns at the guards seeing them handle her things roughly, but decides it is probably best not to say anything.
Inquiry goes to step back, then stops and turns to the guard that she handed her knife to. “You don’t have any problems with Infernal blood near King Battlehammer, do you? If I, say, ping a detection spell for demonic blood I won’t be arrested?” Her tail curls itself around one leg, giving her a very anxious look. “I wouldn’t want to offend his majesty at all, especially when more important things are being said.”
"Don't be ashamed about how you look, Inquiry! You look fabulous." The halfling grins, giving the tiefling a wink and a thumbs up. Without her equipment, she looks so much smaller than before. "And everything will end up for the better, even if this does seem pretty bad at first!"

”Peace, Wazzok. I had heard of this drow, but not all of the nobility of Gauntlgyrm are so understanding. In my very limited experience, it is better to ask than not.”

I'll need a Survival check from somebody. If you're a native of Gauntlgrym you can make it with advantage.

Morrig leads the way through the chaotic streets of Gauntlgrym to the keep, where you find your way barred by two dwarven guards.
"Name and business." One of them grunts.

"King Battlehammer ain't one to judge anybody by their heritage. His best friend's a drow, for Moradin's sake!" The guard replies.

"Ha! And next you'll have me believe that wine springs from your nostrils, and ale from your tits!"
Wazzok says to the (presumably male, she can't tell under the facial hair and armor) guard as she enters the keep.
