"Well enough, Lady Inquiry. Here I am, a Half-Orc, amidst halflings, dwarves, m'lady, and whatever Master Brixo here claims to be." she wraps a muscular arm around Inquiry's shoulder (if Inquiry lets her) and chuckles, walking on.
The guard leads you through the iron double doors, which are so massive that they require a pulley operated by four dwarves to open. A 10-ton slab of solid stone is suspended by several chains above the door. If Gauntlgrym ever came under siege the slab would be dropped in front of the door, making Gauntlgrym Keep almost impenetrable.
You are led down a wide, red-carpeted hall. The walls are adorned with paintings of previous Delzoun kings, and their weapons are on display in glass cases above the paintings. Dwarven guards are stationed at every twenty-yard interval, to ensure the king's maximum protection. At last you pass througha gilded gold door and emerge into the throne room.
The sheer size of the massive chamber takes your breath away. Stone columns tower above you, holding aloft the vaulted ceiling which depicts a mural of every major event in the history of Delzoun. The mural is only half-completed, you can see. Tapestries hang from the walls, each flanked by a pair of stoic dwarven warriors, and at the far end of the room, sitting on a throne beneath a tapestry depicting a frothing mug, is King Battlehammer himself.
His face, lined with years, still bears an imperious countenance, and above his thick brown beard his dark eyes glisten with vitality. Waves you over with a gauntleted hand.
"So these are the strangers who have come to solve all our problems!" He booms in a deep baritone voice, more amused than mocking. "Come, I would hear your counsel. "

Wazzok moves quickly from under the hanging slab of stone, clearly nervous that it will fall at any moment.
As King Battlehammer bids the party approach she kneels a respectable distance from the throne. She's takes a breath to make her introductory spiel when Brixo moves right past her. Wazzok is mortified as Brixo appears to be trying to approach the king, and grabs one of his arms as he tries to push past. She does her best to hold Brixo back from approaching the king at first, but then decides it best to let him learn from his own mistakes.
After Brixo finishes introducing himself, Wazzok announces,
"Hail and well met my esteemed good King Battlehammer. Your majesty will have already met Brixo, the black beard here is Master Morrig Fireforge. My halfling compatriots are Master Chazrael and Lady Cori, and I believe that Lady Inquiry here is a native of your fine and splendored city. I am called Wazzok Muul, and am the very last of my tribe. You do us a great honor by allowing us into your halls. We would hear of what troubles fair Gauntlgrym, that we might understand how best we may assist her."
"Masters and Ladies? Fancy." Cori mutters under her breath, so only her companions could really hear it. Otherwise she remains quiet as the others talk, her attention going to the room around them as introductions are being conducted.

Brixo sees the alarmed expression of his new friend and falters. He retracts his arm and steps back from the dais before the guards have a chance to spear him. He walks backwards slowly, taking a place beside Waz and whispers "Apologies, green one."

Chazrael nods his head at King Battlehammer in a calm voice. "I cannot speak for my companions and I hope that they are not going to be alarmed when I say this, but a friend of mine told me there is a vampire in Gauntlgrym. I am here to help. However, I will also assist these wonderful folks in their mission."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"I believe I can assist you with the problems under the great forge. Moradin still answers my prayers not to mention he sent me a vision of this place." Once again he pulls out his amulet of Moradin and casts light on his hand.
King Battlehammer leans forward eagerly when Morrig displays his magical capabilities. "They told me Moradin was no longer answering their prayers," He muses, stroking his beard. He holds a whispered conversation with a dwarf courtier who sits in a chair to his right. They appear to come to a conclusion, for Battlehammer nods and turns back to you. "An expedition will descend into the abandoned mines in an hour. If you are determined to help, you may join them." His face is grim. "Know that if you accept this offer, your lives will be put in considerable danger."
"I'm fine with going on this expedition, I assume that is the reason you all are here too." Morrig bows to King Battlehammer "I speak for myself but I await further instructions for this expeditions."
"That's why I'm here! Or, why all of us are here really." Cori claims boldly. She places her hands upon her hips confidently, her chest puffed up. It takes her a moment to remember that they were in the presence of a king. Instead of bowing, she salutes to the dwarf king. "On our honor we'll help beat back what's going on down there."

Inquiry timidly steps forward, kneeling before King Battlehammer. “I will join this expedition as well, your grace. It is just the chance that I have been looking for. However, my King, there is one thing I would ask of you before we depart, if you would permit me. The danger of the journey itself is not what I fear, but what shall happen to me when we return. My... lord, Lord Falrin, he would likely... disapprove of my participation in such a journey. Would it be possible to get you blessing to travel forwards, and for a written copy of such a blessing to be delivered to my fath... I mean, my lord, so that he not forbid me from participating, and so that he takes me back upon our return?”
Battlehammer chuckles. "You remind me of me own daughter... Gravel!" A dwarf hurries forward, tripping over his long robes. "Get me one of them royal decree paper thingies." The dwarf rushes to comply, and King Battlehammer stamps it with his own seal. "There you go, then." He says, tossing the paper to Inquiry.
"Mr Battlehammer, perhaps I should tell you my information. It may help expedition?" Brixo offers. "I know that bad dwarves take materials from your city to build shrine below. Shrine to hell king. Not good things." Brixo shakes his head sorrowfully.

Wazzok listens patiently while her companions have their say. Only then does she speak,
"I have come to Gauntlgrym because I have heard that the forges of the great King Battlehammer are the finest in all the world, and from them his master smiths craft the most legendary of weapons, and I wish to learn from such masters of the art. If by my sword I can help rekindle Gauntlgrm's forges, I am up to the task. Once my equipment is retrieved I shall be ready."

Morrig slowly relinquishes his warhammer "Keep it safe."
"I claim to be a son of Ogremoch." He says, unbuckling the scimitar from his shoulder and fetching his crossbow from his pack to relinquish.
"I see how you mean now. This is much better palace than other." He nods knowingly.

"Dwarf king it is good to meet. I am Brixo Stonewarden." He strides up to the throne, oblivious to his bodyguards, and extends his massive hand.
"I have made discovery on your troubles. Maybe I help. Maybe not so much. I do best I can." He says eagerly.

Inquiry, not used to being the center of attention or addressing someone so powerful, stands slightly akwardly behind Brixo not saying anything.
