The four Redbrands continue to walk away. They must have seen something they did not like.
Halben Perception Check
You recognized that one of the Redbrands was there the night you scorched one of their crew. You are not sure if he recognized you but he definitely seemed like he was interested in you.
As Conway and Halben approach the Lionshield Coster they see Fawn and Cypress also approaching with the cart. The group has been united. The streets are fairly quiet now with people going to their homes or their favorite tavern. Hanging above the front door of this modest trading post is a sign shaped like a wooden shield with a blue lion painted on it. You recognize this symbol as the same symbol as some of the supplies you have recovered that on our your cart. You know you are in the right place. The door is shut but you can see a faint flicker of light coming through one of the windows.
What do you do? Also feel free to share or not share any information that you have gathered with the others since you have been separated.
As the group circles to discuss their groups events, Conway begins to explain what he and Halben discussed at the inn.
“We escorted Sildar and made sure he got a room. He then told us that we would get a loan for our other payment in the morning, which he seems very hopeful of acquiring quite easily. We also spoke with a young boy who told us one of his friends knew a secret entrance to the Red Brand hideout. The young boy, Pip, said his friend resides at the Alderleaf Farm on the south east side of town. We may need some more information though so I vote we head inside the Lionshield for a pint and discuss our plans and hear of Cypress and Fawns ventures. Only if you all think it’s wise of course.” Says Conway
“I agree with Conway. We too found some possibly valuable information we need to share with you and need to put our heads together on what our next move should be. Oh that reminds me!”
Fawn reaches in her small tassel bag and pulls out 10 gold *pieces.
“Here is your share from the delivery Conway. Cypress has your half Halben”
"I too would like to discuss some information I found out and I think we could make some good money or at least a good network of friends if we take care of certain gang harassing the people in this town. Also don't make you shake you down Cypress for my gold!"
Minor Book-Keeping: Halben and Conway please add 10gp to your inventory Cypress and Fawn please deduct 10 gp if you have not done so already.
As Fawn steps up to the door of the Lionshield Coster she finds it locked. Fawn raps her knuckles hard against the door making a loud knocking sound.
Five seconds go bye... 10... 15... Then you hear what sounds like a bar sliding followed by a clanging of a chain hitting the floor. The first thing you see is a frazzle red-head poke out of the door. The human woman appears to be round thirty five years of age. Her eyes are narrowed and she does not look too pleased.
Lionshield Woman then sharply and distinctly says, "Hmm, you come to a door of my shop and find it locked. You don't think that maybe it is because I am closed and trying to finish up so I can go home? You better have a good reason to pull me out here. You are luck that I just started to shut down for the night. Now out with it! I have weapons and armor to shine for tomorrow."
The lady gives a slight change in her facial expression but then reigns it back in. She then eases out of the shop and walks down to look over the wagon.
"Hmmm... This shipment was lost quite a few ten day ago. In all my years I have never had someone return one of my shipments. I suppose this is a good reason though."
The lady starts walking back into her store and motions for you all.
"I imagine you will want a reward for this good deed. Come into my shop and lock the door behind you. Hopefully there will be no more late arrivals this evening!"
(OOC: I imagine you follow. If not, please let me know and I will edit.)
As you walk into the shop it appears to be a three room building. The first is the storefront where there are multiple various basic armors and weapons out for display. The backroom you see crates and other items and discern that it must be storage. Last there is a room that is fairly open with hay bails with paint on them where people may test out weapons before they purchase them. The lady goes into the backroom and comes back out with her hand closed but you hear a metallic clinging from inside. She approaches Fawn and places the gold in her hands.
"Here is your reward for bringing my supplies to me."
As Fawn looks at the coin she sees that it is 50 gold pieces.(OOC: For the sake of fairness I have rolled below to see who gets the extra piece.

OOC: Please add the following to your inventory. Conway: 13 GP , Cypress 12 GP, Fawn, 13 GP, and Halben 12 GP.
The lady then addresses the group, "My name is Liene Graywind and I keep this outpost running for the Lionshields. May I ask what brings seekers of justice to our town of Phandalin and how you came upon my supplies? I am sure it is a fascinating story."
Conway steps forward and says “I’m confused.. I thought this was a tavern. Apparently my eyes deceive me madam. Well I will give you the short of it, we found it in a box that belong to a vicious creature named Klarg. Apparently he and his merry band of goblins have been doing this for a while now but fear not. Klarg and the rest are now plastered in pieces on the cave walls. Which, honestly, is a beautiful sight to behold “
Conway smiles showing all his teeth in a truly devilish way allowing his blackened, soulless eyes to glimmer against the lantern light and steps back into the group
Liene looks to Conway and looks into his eyes as he steps back.
Liene says to Conway, "Well... Aren't you a charming individual. Anyway, I appreciate you bringing the supplies back to me and and ridding us of that group of unsavory individuals."
Liene motions to her wares.
Liene then says to the group, "You will find no ale here. What you will find is a supply of armor and weapons sent all the way hear from our headquarters in Yartar. These goods have traveled over one hundred miles from the east to make it to this very shop. We have been hit hard by banditry during these last few miles as the Triboar trail is so treacherous. Unlike other merchants, I am very selective on who I do business with. I do not do business with the local Redbrand gang or anyone associated with them. If you have not met them yet I advise you to avoid the Sleeping Giant Tap house as that is where you are most likely to find them. However, you have proven yourself and my wares are available to you and I promise to help you in anyway I can."
Fawn speaks to the shop keep “Yes Conway is quite the charmer” as she rolls her eyes walking to stand a bit closer to Liene.
“We are no fans of the redbrand gang ourselves. We are trying to figure out where our friend has been taken. He was the one we were searching for when we happened upon your things.”
“We think he’s being held at the cragmaw castle where someone named black spider told him to be sent”
“We found out recently from a local that a wizard named Glass Staff might be connected in some way along with an old watchtower ruin called the Old Owl Well”
*Halben browses the wares and tries to see if there is anything special*

OOC: Not looking for anything special just don't have anything to add to the current situation. I think we should discuss what path we should pursue as a group soon. Probably just use the google chat to throw some ideas around. I'm down for burning the Redbrand gang down but I am not sure if some other people want to be more subtle about it :)
Liene quickly replies to Fawn, "Sorry about your friend. I have never heard of a Black Spider or Cragmaw Castle. I have heard of Glass Staff. Simply because patrons would come in occasionally talking about a wizard who is holding a glass staff. He seems to appear rarely in town and I assume as you mentioned. He and the rest of the Redbrands showed up a few months ago. This used to be a peaceful place. Well as peaceful as you can get this far out.
A smile crosses Liene's face.
Liene says to Fawn, "I am well aware of the Old Owl Well though I haven't been there in years. In years past I had a suitor who would stop by. When I could not get my mind off work he would take me there for a day or two to camp. The Well itself is nothing special, just some old ruins but it was so quiet. The best part was the walk there, it was supposed to take around two days but we tended to take a bit longer. I would hate to think someones using it for less, meaningful purposes."
Liene throws a subtle but noticeable wink at Fawn.
Halben walks around the room looking at the various weapons and armor but does not sense anything special about them.
Liene then turns to the others, "Now then, I have enjoyed our time together and appreciate the return of my supplies. I did see that those Oxen were branded with the Barthen brand so I am happy to return them in the morning after the supplies have been uploaded. I need to speak with Barthen concerning some business matters anyway. So, if you would not like to purchase I would have to ask you to leave as I must get some things done here to get ready to open up in the morning."
Liene then stands and begins walking to the door to show you out.
“Liene! One more thing I know you sell various items but do you by any chance have a Disguise kit? Or maybe even some makeup and some straw?” Conway hurringly says as they are being hustled to the door.
Liene says, "That is not something we normally carry but I do have one in the back. Someone ordered one and then never came back for it! I guess it didn't get here in time and they were found out."
Liene goes to the back and comes back with a pouch of cosmetics, hair dye, and small props that let you create disguises to change your physical appearance.
Liene says, "Is this what you are looking for? It's 25 gold pieces."
Disguise myself just enough to change my face. Would like to wear a wig with a different hair color. Maybe add in a facial scar if needed to add more detail to it.
In passing the Red Brands Conway’s black void piercing eyes focus intensely on the RedBrand looking at Hablen.

Fawn holds up one of the pieces of supplies bearing the emblem of the shop
