Puddin squeezes into the crowded the hallway, her face showing a mix of fear and fury. She grips her holy symbol of Shar and lifts it into the air. Back to the darkness, foul beasts!
The two to Kif's right look like they are about to flee. And, on their turn, they do. Ireena can't get a good shot at anything.
Fope didn't get a good look, because of the darkness. Kif remembers from a page ago, though, when the DM described what happened. There were two on your *right* - to your "east" - that fled down that passage.
Relatively hot on the heels of the fleeing ghouls, the party proceeds down a short, turning hallway into a larger room.
This chamber is festooned with moldy skeletons that hang from rusty shackles against the walls. A wide alcove in the east wall contains a painted wooden statue carved in the likeness of a gaunt, pale-faced man wearing a voluminous black cloak, his pale left hand resting on the head of a wolf that stands next to him. In his right hand, he holds a smoky-gray crystal orb.
Everybody roll a Perception check. If you roll a 12 or higher, read the following:
The painted figure is clearly intended to be Count Strahd, whom you've already met. It is somewhat amateurish.
The ghouls you were chasing are visible in the southwest corner of the room, as you should be able to see on the map. They shuffle further away from Puddin as she enters the room. One of them steps through the doorway into a corner beyond, as it attempts to make its escape.
You are no longer effectively in combat, but you might be interested to know that you have 48 seconds (by my calculation) before Puddin's turning of the ghouls lapses.
Would you look at that, Føpé says, gesturing toward the swirling mist in the ball. He nudges is gently with his crook to get a sense of how well it's attached to the statue.
Ireena, stay behind me, and keep up the good work with the crossbow. There is enough undead activity in here that I don't doubt those skeletons will be up and at us momentarily.
Look at what Fope? Do you see something in the ball?
Barnaby will eye the skeletons warily as he prepares to cast another firebolt at the ghouls.

Puddin reaches up and grasps your shoulder. Shar will protect you now, she says. You are healed for 10. Waiting for Fope now, I believe.
I'd have Ireena taking turns, normally, but it's just too crowded in here.
when it comes around to my turn again I'm going to do the same thing to the badguy to my left
Feint
Attack with advantage
11
11
If I hit 7 + 7 damage
Ok. Hold that thought.
Josh, would you please do something with Fope?
Thanks.
Nevermind, Josh. I got a phone call from Fope.
Føpé will move diagnally to the south and slash his sword into the darkness at the creature he can not see. Attack: 13 Damage: 10
Oww, watch those random sword strikes...lol, just kidding
And with a lucky strike, you kill it!
The other two have been turned, and are cowering, hiding from Puddin, somewhere in the darkness.
Did we see them moving away to the left of the party, if I recall correctly If so I want to move after them
I’d like perception checks from you and Fope, please.
Perception: 9

Perception 17
Oh, right. I also meant to include this detail for Perceptions of 15 or higher:
There is a mist swirling inside the orb the statue is holding.
Perception: 16

Please position yourself on the map, Fope (and others), if you have not done so.
