Pascal nods, “Agreed. Plus, y’all know we can just burn this whole abandoned ghost town to the ground, right? Course, that’d probably cause a few new issues, come to think of it.”

Jorin scoops some ale into water may be near by to drink from, or his hands if nothing else is available. His eyes light up with childlike flee when Pascal mentions burning the town down, but that quickly fades once he realizes that isn't the best course of action.
"It seems to me that, as Drusk said, our job is deal with any trouble we found, and so we should bring the blade to these creatures. Cut their threads and free the town from their grasp."
He takes a long draught of the ale (or several hands scoops), then wipes his beard, "And aye, perhaps the tome has something to do with what drew them here in the first. Kill the Skulks, burn the tome, free the village."
The bell tower above the library releases a chime over the outpost, inferring there is one hour till dusk. Clouds above are starting to thin, letting the reddening light of the dimming sun pour over the spire, like crimson wine or blood. The rain begins to cease, but not remarkably so. The library is only two stories high, made of cobbled stone with a wooden framework, but its bell tower secures the library’s place as the focal point of the outpost. Its windows are dark and desolate.
The building is 120' wide by 90' deep. There are 10 windows around the exterior. The front doors are closed, but not locked.

When the bell tolls, Quillary looks up at the bell tower as the rain patters around her. With her shaggy hair and the twigs and the flowers she's either sparkly and beautiful or bedraggled and dank. A little of both, perhaps. She taps her wooden club to the cat skull in her hair and it blackens for a moment, then the motes of ash fall away, leaving the club gleaming. She nods as Hildigrim sets his mirror and opens the door, and she follows him in.
Holding his trusty mirror in one hand, Hildigrim enters, looking everywhere he can in the reflection of the mirror.
The inside of the library is dark, so Hildigrim is unable to see anything in the mirror. He can ask for Light, if he wants.
Quillary notices several unlit lanterns inside, which could all be lit to illuminate more area than a single Light spell.

Jorin looks up at the sound of the bell ringing, little rivulets of rain water that had pooled in his beard, now disturbed by the sudden movement, fall off his chin.
When Hildigrim remarks on the lack of lighting, Jorin responds, "Aye, I have not known many libraries, and even fewer dark ones." He sticks a thumb in the air, "And who rung that bell?"
(Quillary has the lantern. Fire it up, and put a Light spell on Jorin's silver hand axe?)

Quillary will hand the lantern to someone who needs it (she does not) for them to light. She would rather have her hands free for shield and club. She renews Shillelagh on the club (it expires after a minute) and waits for the party to move into the building.

Hildigrim accepts the lantern and — out of the rain — uses his tinderbox to light the lantern. He then holds the lantern in one hand and the mirror in the other as he ventures into the interior. "Stay close," he says to no one in particular.
(There are lanterns all about the library, so I am assuming you are lighting them up as you go further in. After a few of them are ignited, Hildigrim no longer needs to carry a lantern.)
The front desk has been converted into a workstation for the captain of the guard. On the main floor, there is an open area in the room’s center, which served as a gathering point for the community. Some shelves have been knocked over, sprawling tomes and scrolls across the floor. There’s a musty smell in the air, as the high humidity of the area is not mixing well with the old texts.
The spiral steps lead to the second floor, which contains a station for rebinding and mending volumes that have become too aged or molded. There’s nothing of interest. (No rolls necessary for the second floor.) Jorin does notice gnomish gears near the bell tower. As long as it is wound up every ten-day, the bell will chime hourly.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Assuming no skulks. Hildigrim will put away the mirror, freeing both hands. He will then begin inspecting the room with the shelves. He's looking for clues as to why a couple of the shelves have been knocked over.
Jorin will take a look at the guard station for papers, reports, anything like that. Perhaps this is the last place the living members of the town tried to hold up in.
Pascal nods, “Agreed. Plus, y’all know we can just burn this whole abandoned ghost town to the ground, right? Course, that’d probably cause a few new issues, come to think of it.”
