Fenric just brushed his sleeve against his lower chin "I've got no issue teaming up." He lifted the rest of his mug just finishing it off as some dribbled down his face and dripped onto his shirt. He just looked outside "Sounds good, go sign up and come back here for a good nights rest."
Leaf gasps as he spots the strange figure lurking about the homestead. He begins creeping toward it to get a better look when a loud creeeeeeeek seems to split the air and the figure spins towards him with the yellowish glow visible in the darkness. Leaf feels an alien presence come over him and instinctively his head grasps the amulet hanging around his neck as he fights off the feeling. He prepares to call out a warning!
Miles leans over the counter to Fenric before the pair leave, Miles offers a bit of advice, "You know, I used to think all dragons were monsters too. Don't get me wrong here, there's some really bad ones. Know why this place is called The Laughing Copper? Years ago, I was takin' something to somewhere - I don't even remember what anymore, just that it was very important - and this dragon just swooped in and blocked my way! I was so sure it would play with me like a cat to a mouse, then kill me. Turns out, there's decent ones out there too. Dragons are brilliant creatures as well as monstrous, and this was bored and curious. First thing it did was ask me what was in the wagon. I tried to lie, but it saw right through me and got annoyed. Then I begged for my life, pleading that it not take the treasure inside or kill me. Then it just laughed at me. It laughed and laughed, then told me it just wanted to know if I knew any good riddles or jokes. Jokes of all things! This thing that could eat my horse and me without a thought wanted to stop my whole day for a few minutes for jokes!" A few nearby patrons chuckled. Apparently this was a very common story from Miles.
"In the end, I made a game of the wagon I was so scared for. It was a game of questions and guesses and the dragon was happy for the amusement. It taught me that not every monster is really such an evil thing. So if you see a dragon, look at its scales. If their copper," he fishes a copper coin from his pocket, "Try talking to it instead of fighting. Any others, I can't speak for."

Fenric just stared at the man and waited for him to finish "Yep - and sometimes they burn down innocent villages and people. I'd rather be safe then sorry." he just placed a gold coin on the counter "We'll be back after we sign up for this mission - keep a tab opened for me." His glance just moved to the other man as he stood up. His arm just made a follow motion as he turned and began to walk towards the door "Let's get going."
Emet and Morzuk jump awake at Leaf's cry. A frantic thumping can be heard on the roof and the old woman can be heard laughing from one of the bedrooms upstairs.

Fenric just opened the door and stepped outside - when Kestrell joined him he just looked at him "How do we get to the place we need to sign up for this?"
"Miles said it was at the Merchant's Guild, by the city gates. If I remember right (and I do, haha) we just head over to River Street and head upriver a couple of blocks."
The Merchant's Guild is readily apparent by a massive sign in front: An eight-directional compass rose with a coin at its center. It's a lavish, three-story building and four large wagons are staged out front. Each carries various crates and barrels, but the middle two are covered to possibly conceal contents. The front and back each have a pair of city guards armed with crossbows. On the street, a half dozen other guards stand by with spears and shields.

As Fenric walks towards the guild he takes note of the guards and their weapons, as he saw the covered wagons he carefully looked them over trying to see what could be under the cloth.(Perception: 11). As they got closer to one of the guards he adjusted his stare to the mans face "We were told to come here and sign up for transporting the caravans to the Salt Mines. Who do we need to talk to about that?"
The center two wagons have various bits of freight and even a few hanging furs. The guard directs Fenric inside to a counter just within the door. A mousy man with a quill and stack of papers greets them, takes their names, and add it to the contract ledger.

"Morzuk go to Leaf. Trouble maybe." Morzuk picks up his staff to help him over, pulls out his club. The saber tooth tiger teeth that are wrapped around the staff glow green. Morzuk mutters silently a few Orcish words and casts Shillelagh the club begins to grow an "axe blade" from it. As he enters the doorway, he readies his attack in case the threat moves to attack him or Leaf.
At hearing Leafs call to arms he bursts from the guest room. "Enemies outside! Everyone outside, or fallow me!" He cried out to whoever may still be asleep. Sword and shield raised, he bolts for the old ladies room to check on her first.
As Emet rushes to the old woman's room, he finds the door locked and the woman cackling away now, "I'm so lucky to have such brave helpers on my farm. They take care of the land and keep away intruders. When they're done, you can join them as well!" The pounding on the roof gets louder as it sounds like something is stomping just over Emet's head on the roof.

Still clutching the amulet around his neck, Leaf stretches out his other hand towards whatever beast lurks just outside the door as suddenly a cacophonous racket explodes around the creature's head as a spectral bell appears above its head. "Begone, creature and trouble us no more!" As the sound increases to a pitch only the creature can hear, it grabs hold of its head and screams in agony as the vibrations threaten to sap away its life force...
The intruder at the door lets out a horrific screech and shoves the door open. At first, it seems to rush for Leaf, ut movements in the shadowed room make it turn in time to see Morzuk standing closer. A wicked swing of a hand replaced by a pitchfork slashes across Morzuk's abdomen.
Upstairs, Emet can hear the faint *click* of a lock behind the old woman's door.

The sounds of conflict send Mirza shooting off of the floor. As he grabs his blades, cracks spread across the surface of his left hand. Through these fissures and where tiny shards fall out, an orange glow can be seen like magma, matching the flames which erupt across the scimitar in the same hand. Once Mirza is within range of the entity, his scimitar flashes in a burning arc against its form.
Action: Scimitar 15 to hit, 4 slashing damage + 4 fire damage

Elhora was asleep. Somehow the isolation of the farm, the hot bath and the confidence that her traveling companions had given to her since they met at the tavern make the young tiefling comfortable enough to finally relax. And the Gods knew she needed it. Beign in the city was stresful andd taxing for her. So she fell in a deep slumber near the fire.
Then she heard screaming and fighting noises. In the mists of her half slepp mind her worst fear had became truth. They were here, they found her.
With a scream she unleash her inner energies, without thinking, trying to protect herself. Suddenly a burst of fire sprout from her hand and crossed the room towards the scarecrow. She didn't saw it as a scarecrow, she just reacted.
