The map merchant hands over the three map (I uploading them + Syndra Silvane’s incomplete map of Chult to the note section of the campaign page.).
Both Grungle and Spider look for insect repellent but they are told kind of snooty that insect repellent is sold in the Red Bazaar.
The party leaves the Great Suok and travels to the Red Bazaar. Unlike the Great Suok which is a great spectacle, the Red Bazaar is mostly locals going about their business. You see stalls of fresh fruit, others with hanging meat. One stall features clothing fit for this tropical climate.
Finally you find a stall selling insect repellent . It comes in two forms:
A block of incense sells for 1 sp. When lit, it burns for 8 hours and repels normal insects within a 20-foot-radius centered on it.
A gourd or vial of salve, which sells for 1 gp, contains 20 applications of odorless grease. One application protects its wearer against normal insects for 24 hours. The salve is waterproof so it doesn’t wash off in rain.
You also see a stall selling rain catchers
A rain catcher is a simple contraption consisting of a 5-foot-square leather tarp and a wooden frame with legs. When the tarp is stretched across the wooden frame, it forms a basin that can catch 2 gallons of drinking water per inch of rainfall and hold up to 8 gallons. The tarp and wooden frame fold up for easy transport. A rain catcher costs 1 gp and weighs 5 pounds.
Snippet pipes up that in a pinch he can create water, however it will cast a spell and as he is already casting goodberries he might run out of magic quickly. He also said that he doesn't have a whole lot of money left and would greatly appreciate it someone could buy him a couple of weeks worth of insect repellent.
Finally you see a seller of a amber-colored, fermented drink made from honey. It is called "Tej" and a mug of tej costs 4 cp.
ooc: yea Leah is just extremely simplistic. she caries nothing but a sword that is more of a sentimental relic than a weapon, a couple daggers strapped to her legs, a small pouch on her hip with compact cooking tools, a small coin pouch, & she wears no armor. if you look at her inventory its almost empty. she's a monk. she doesn't need or want much more than the sword, and only because it belonged to her dead mother. when her dying father gave it to her, he stated, "dont protect yourself with the sword, protect the sword with yourself."
(Between Grungle and Spider and Snippet the party has 260 applications that last 24 hours. That is about 7 weeks worth <if I did my math correctly> fora party if 5. I'll give Risis a few more days and then move the story onwards.)

Between the two of you, you believe that maps 1-5, 7, and 9 are probably good. But you aren't sure.
Grungle speaks with Leah to agree on which 3 maps would be best and pays the merchant 150gp.
Elon Andrael- High Elf sorcerer- Waterdeep Dragon Heist
Tomac- goliath barbarian- Yet Another Storm Kings Thunder
With eyes closed, and hands together at the fingertips, Leah qietly but sternly says, "Seven."
OOC: ok. Maps 7, 5, and 3.

ooc: fine with me
Grungle rolls up the maps and puts them in his pack before moving on to find a merchant with bug repellant and waterskins.

Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Leah will buy a stick of incense insect repellent.
Grungle buys 5 containers of repellent.
Elon Andrael- High Elf sorcerer- Waterdeep Dragon Heist

I assume you mean the slave?
Yes. He will also look around for someone to buy 2 more waterskins. Just let me know the price.

Water skins are 2 Sp each.
As no one is buying extra insect repellent, Snippet reluctantly hands over his last 3 Gp for 3 vials of salve.
Risis do you want to buy anything
ooc: Leah wasn't going to buy any, so technically 1, is extra.
ooc: Grungle bought 5 cause it sounded like a good amount. Let him know and he will buy more. He is a nice guy like that. :-)

ooc: yeah i mean its 100 applications, i dont know how long we'll be in the jungle but it seemed reasonable.
