You all have been summoned to the King of Aldrania, Nolduron. Aldrania is in danger from Ranegot, and while the army is off trying to get some of the shards, the King has hired some adventurers to do so too. For sake of moving on the story, assume you have already talked to the King. While the King's men are trying to find the shard in the jungle of the Vinemen, you are supposed to delve into the Silverwood Forest Temple. Within, strange creatures guard closely one of the shards. Now, I assume you are all in the city, where you can buy equipment and the like. You can also return to the King to ask him concerning your mission.
Ezal scratched his head, looking about, before turning to his companions. "The name's Ezal. Nice to meet ya. Figured I should introduce myself before we got this 'operation' of sorts underway. Anything I should know about any of you before we get started on this fantastic quest? Special needs, magic items, size of your purses?" He studied them all with a practiced eye, noting which ones would have greater strength than the others, etc. At least they all seem competent.Ezal was content that his associates be able to help him, especially since his life could depend on this quest.
Ayala politely inclined her head to her companions. "I am Ayala." She shifted a bit on her feet, then straightened her back. "I have no special needs, and no magical items beyond my holy symbol -" at this, she briefly touched the infinity symbol pendant hanging around her neck, " - and only a modest purse, I'm afraid."It was all my village could spare, and I am grateful nonetheless. I hope it will stretch far enough to provide what we need to keep us alive. She looked around at the surrounding hustle and bustle of the city streets, searching for signs of familiar shops. "Perhaps we should see if we can find any necessary items before we leave? I would assume the Silverwood Forest Temple won't be filled with places to purchase equipment."
Carcywin takes his eyes off the drifting clouds out the window and turns towards the party summoned by the king.
"I see that I have been summoned. Well, let me present myself, then. I am Carcywin of the House of Nuluck, second son of Lord Nuluck, and a hobbyist of a swordsman." Carcywin places his hands on his belt, revealing two sheathed blades. "Before we go off hunting these shards, I would like to know anything you do about this Ranegot personality. In addition, is there anywhere where I could acquire a shield?" Carcywin grins sheepishly and rests his hands on his neck. "I did not think to bring one, nor did I carry too much gold on me, either," he shrugs. "If I may mention, though, this is indeed a strange party of adventurers!"
Carcywin smiles again to show that no ill is meant in that comment, and stretches his arms, yawning.
"We are saying family names? My family name is Maladaela. It means Moondancer in Draconic." Serifey's silver scales gleam as she checks where the sun is. "We should get going."

Serifey Maladaela, dragonborn monk-Beyond This Earthly Realm "My name means angel of vengeance in Draconic. It describes me well."
The elf looks to her new companions. Sniff the air, as if recording their scents for future reference. Her skin seems to reflect a little bit of light here and there, as if it's covered with ice.
She is wearing her tribe clothes, but most of them are packed with her belongnins. Perceptive companions will notice that she avoids to be directly to the sun as much as possible.
"Vrailin Vy'elya from the Vy'elya tribe. " it seems that she had say everything she wanted to say but then she notices that the party are still looking at her, waiting for something more. She mumbles something in her language ("Remember to be polite" if anyone can understand it) and adds " I am... happy to be part of this.. company. " It seems that the words cost to leave her mouth. " I not need nothing from here. "
"Is there anything wrong? Wish you better accommodations?" Carcywin scratches his head. "If so, I am sure that what you need may be found somewhere here. Is it too hot? Do they sell parasols around here?" Carcywin's face turns serious. "If not, I will have to personally have a talk with the guildmasters of this town. A town that does not sell parasols does not deserve to be called a town!"
"Relax, you sword-wielding maniac of a human. We can probably find you a shield AND a parasol in this town. I'm fairly certain they sell about everything here," Ezal replied, somewhat irked at the sudden need for bloody parasols of all things. "Nobility," he muttered, almost making it sound like a curse. Regaining his lax demeanor, Ezal continued, "Just so you all know, I was joking about the size of your purses. I'm on the straight and narrow now, after what I did a while back. This is more or less my penalty, I suppose, but I prefer this to being jailed." Ezal left it to the party members' imaginations as to what crime he might have commited.
Gunnar finally meets up with the party, "HELLO FREINDS" he calls out while jogging to them, "I am Gunnar, well met. Now to the important stuff...Did any of you find a tavern, this town may as well be a desert so far with the lack of ale" He starts to look around again.
"I am fi... No it's... Well yes but... beg you pardon parawhat? " Vrailin tries to answer Carciwyn's questions but fails miserably. She desists. He seems to answer himself as quickly as he makes the questions.
Once the party gets moving she approaches Ezal and says " Excuse me. What is this parasul he is talking about? And why we do need them? " ( errata intended )
He can feel the cold touch of her fingers in his arm when she catches his attention.
Carcywin overhears the conversation and announces "Parasols! They protect you from the sun! I would not want to sit out all day under a blazing sun without one!"

We have more to worry about." Serifey puts away her rune stone and bares her teeth. "Let's go!" The clearly impatient dragonborn shoots a look at Ezal and Ayala, almost saying, 'How idiotic can he get?'

"Don't pay him too much mind. He's a noble, so he's a little strange. All of them are," Ezal replied to Vrailin, ignoring the cold from her fingertips. Turning to the rest of the party, he continued. "I'm usually all for wasting time, but Serifey is right. We are on a schedule. If anyone needs to collect supplies, we should do so now. Meet back here in thirty minutes at the latest. I, for one, will be in the nearest magic shop." With that, Ezal swiftly went off in search of a shop that sold unusual magic items.
Ezal enters a lavishly decorated store with fancy drapes and chandeliers. The rotund man behind the counter is busy speaking with another client, and the whiff of incense floats through the air. There is a small catalog on the counter.
The elf closes her eyes and her hand on Ezal's arm when Carciwyn shouts that strange word again. She opens both her eyes and hand a second later and Ezal could feel how the air gets colder around her as same as her glance.
" I see " she replied to Carciwyn "Thank you." she adds to Ezal with a nod. "I will wait you here." she announces to the others.
Carcywin takes notice from What Ezal did and enters the same shop, thinking "Maybe there will be magic parasols! Or good hunting knives. Either one works. Yay!"
