SabreRunner... I like the choices, some offense, some choices that make me think that your RP style could get interesting. Considering Dontontion's low charisma and intelligence it is nice to know someone is going to be able to talk people into things and maybe not every encounter will end with ripped off limbs.
Sorry EZKDR, but since we have a druid and i was thinking about 2 goliath party, I will switch to a more martial mystic, a human variant mystic (order of the knife). I will post the sheet in at max 7hs.
Oh Don is plenty social... he just isn't very good at it. His intelligence isn't the greatest and he tends to forget that little folk are so breakable and not like his people.
Hook:"As a scrappy young group of adventurers in Waterdeep, you've had trouble finding work. There's no glamour for inexperienced adventurers. You've had to work odd jobs for a month before you get your first job.
"Your employer a retired adventurer, wants you to meet with a buyer. The operation is simple: Take a sack from the buyer, and give them a box. Under no circumstances should you open the box. Upon return of the sack you oppressive payment."
Having left home not so long ago, Dontontion figured that adventuring would be easy. That hasn't been the case so far it has been petty little jobs so far. Little to no money and little to no adventure. He looked forward to using his blades to make a name for himself.
Don carefully takes the box and smiles at his new employer... "Trust me... no one will look in your precious box." As Don turned toward the others in his party, preparing to go he glanced at the box in his hands and gauged carefully how little work it would be to open it... just a peek couldn't hurt... right?
Un'undeen looked like a spoiled, rich High Elf and indeed she was but she used that to her advantage because behind the veils of the Lorein home, she was taught the arts of commerce, bargain, politics and manipulation. And whenever someone underestimated her, she used it.
Her delicate hand climbed up Don's burly bicep as she said, in her soft ringing tone, "You keep that box safe now, big man," and as she reached his shoulder, she drew a quick symbol in the air and poked his neck gently with her manicured fingernail. And in a whisper only he could hear, "And don't you dare open that thing. Not until we're far away at least."
"Yes," She added, addressing their employer. "We'll take good care of that box of yours," She said, smiling so bright it contended with the brightness of her floating, ethereal diadem.
[[Out of Character: How does our employer look like? What race? How is he dressed? Where are we meeting?]]
"Who is this wonderful congenial person to whom we are to gift this box? And where would we be meeting?"
Un'undeen leans forward, resting her hands on the table and interlocking her fingers. She glimpses up and to the side and crinkles her brow. The diadem of floating effervescent crystals dim and fade to near invisibility, to attract less attention from any sordid crowds.
(doc) Since I am going to pick the "always wear a mask" quirk on UA, here you are my Eryn Shadowborn:
Since the fail of his last mission, Eryn starts a kind of re-establishment of his honor. While join this really new mercenaries party, considering that no one seems to care of his withdrawn trand, he hope to find something less odd then....this...
With his usual habit to not speech if not strictly necessary, he simply look at his comrades and just shrug.
【ooc】In response to your question, @SabreRunner:【end ooc】"Just an old friend, and you'll be meeting him in about thirty minutes, in this same tavern. I have other matters to attend to, remember you'll be paid 20 gp each at the end of this job." He then stands up and leaves.
"That was quite abrupt, don't you think?" Un'undeen asks as she turns to her compatriots. "Thirty minutes? That's very suspicious. Why could he not have done it himself? Don, dear. Could I see that box, please?"
Don scratches his head looking at the box... "Anyone else find it a little odd that he is paying us..." his look becomes puzzled as he tries to do math on his fingers for a moment before giving up and saying... "a LOT of money to just sit her for 30 minutes." He appears to be about to come to some sort of conclusion but instead just shrugs. "What a sucker."
He then sits down and orders another ale.
