"Well, helloLucy," Lanielsays. "Welcome to the group. Morph, can I borrow your broom. I want to try and clear some of this sand so that the paint will stick. If that doesn't work, you might need to magic it clean a foot at a time." Laniel thinks for a moment as he looks around the room. "Although, we only need it to be on the floor for a place to come and go. It could be this space by the wall."
Lanielmoves over to the west wall and begins sweeping a 4 square foot area as clean as possible.
Meanwhile, Midnightcreeps down the hall to find a long, narrow room adorned with bas relief sculptures of various demons along the north wall, including a balor, a barlgura, a chasme, a dretch, a glabrezu, a goristro, and a hezrou. Midnight cannot quite see the south wall from where he sits. The skeleton of a kenku rests on the floor, his arm and finger pointing towards the south wall.
Midnighthisses briefly at the giant (though I suppose not really compared to how big spiders can really be in d&d :P) spider before heading off down the corridor to explore. Rethanchecks in periodically with the cat while the others work on getting the paint ready. When Midnightreaches the next room down the hall, Rethanfinds a spot to sit while he transfers his senses to his familiar to get a look at the room for himself. Coming back to himself after a moment, he reports what the cat found to the rest of the group.
As Morphsettles in to do the ritual, Rethanwill once again find a comfortable place to sit and see and hear through Midnight'seyes, sending the cat to explore further into the long room to see what is on the south wall.
Atuan steps forward to get a better look at the Kenku skeleton. "That is an unusual place to die." If he can, he will try to peer around the corner to look at the south wall, which the kenku appears to be pointing at. With his quick eye for detail (bonus action while making a perception check), he remains ready to dodge back and out of the way should any dangers appear.
