Kora
"Don't push the poor man, he needs all his coin to buy cheese. Which reminds me, I hereby call rights to not share a tent with Kashkaval tonight!" and she puts a finger to her nose.
OOC > I've been looking for a simple but interesting dice game we could do on PbP, and all I can come up with is Threes. Too simple, perhaps, but usable asynchronously. Everyone antes up, then all players throw five six sided dice. Lowest total wins, 3s count for zero points, but all sixes wins instantly. In the real game, you have to lock at least one die each time, and can reroll the rest if you choose. That seems doable, but annoying on a message board, so I present, Simple Threes. Roll five six sided dice, threes count for zero, lowest score wins.
Kora says, "Simple Threes, in for three crowns," and she rolls: 5, 5, 5, 6, 4
She looks up at Percival. "Sylrie got twelve. That was a nice toss, Percival." She scoops her three crowns over towards his two sovereigns. "And you're down three crowns to Percival now, Sylrie. It's your ante."

"Well played everyone. Hopefully fortune will smile better on you when we do battle." After collecting his winnings, Percival turns to Isuzu. "Did you enjoy observing us?"

Isuzu her face expressionless watches, Percival, as he collects his winnings and simply responds, "yes," then abruptly turns and walks towards her horse to check on it.
She sits back on her rock, pocketing her dice, as it seems the game is over. "We have spoken of this before, Percival. Fortune smiles on the brave, I believe, and takes her payment from the timid." At the possible (likely?) raised eyebrows, she continues quickly, "No, no, I'll not have you think I besmirch the courage of any in this company, it is just that luck needs to be found, not just happened upon."

Sylrie smirks, "So I am Kor" he then drew the strings on his belt pouch, securing the rest of his coinage. "So, what do you guys think the LT has in for us today, calm walk through a meadow maybe?"
"Aye, Sylrie, you'll miss the days when you had to patrol the Queen's meadow. Attention!" Sergeant Misquo Lorand yells the last order, barking the command loud enough for all of you to hear. He's a fair man, but by the book he is. He slaps his arms at his side, his back extended perfectly straight. His face is forward, his hawk-like nose pointed towards the campfire as he waits for the lieutenant to step forward, watching all of you to see if there are any imperfections in your conduct. A fair man, but strictly by the book.

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

She stands up smoothly, and comes to a parade rest. We're in the field, after all. No disrespect, all attention on the Lieutenant. (Unless, of course, the unit is all about straight backs and eyes on the horizon, but I can't imagine this motley crew is that...)

Being from a race where honor is held in high regard, Kashkaval stands immediately and snaps to attention, Buttons returned to his belt for now as he awaits orders from the Lieutenant.
Percival stands to attention in a pose similar to Kora's. A lifetime of nobility has taught him how to properly demonstrate respect to those above him.

Sylrie quickly, quietly, stands; his form becoming rigid mirroring the SGT's in the process. His eyes are forward, and his body completely still, unwavering. Despite his rebellious attitude he held the utmost respect for the military structure, after all it was these ranks he was going to climb to reach his ultimate destination.
Isuzu stands to attention... upright with an assertive and correct posture, i.e. 'chin up, chest out, shoulders back, stomach in'... no speech, facial or bodily movements except when as required. Silently awaiting instructions... or further commands.
"At ease, Greywind," the small Lt. Winehand walks forward, hands behind her back and her fierce purple hued eyes looking at each of you. "Listen here, soldiers, we are here doing the Queen's business. In defense of the homeland is the best offense of the War. If we let our shores face a breach; if we let the monsters of the wild take hold..." She pauses as she licks her lips. "...the day we become silent, of this be true, we lose."
"Now, Sylrie, you will lead the patrol after lunch. It is about time you start taking a lead." Do'tavian walks over and hands Sylrie a map and a compass. "Stickling's Creek is about half a days march from here, do what you can to make sure we all make it there by nightfall."
Do'tavian turns around and walks over to the pot of stew on the campfire. "This smells good. As you were, Greywind. Come get some chow." She grabs the ladle and gets ready to serve each of you your ration of lunch.

The minotaur takes his place in line waiting for his food - however it is his mage hand that is holding his bowl for him while he stands in line. The one thing he's learned from his time in Aundair is why do something yourself when magic can do it for you. If he hadn't gotten in trouble for just trying to have his mage hand stand in line for him, he'd be lounging by the fire waiting for the hand to bring him his food.
