Johnathon stands up, orderly. He quickly doffs his shield and club, standing perfectly straight at the Lt. When dismissed, he continues with the magic he has up for poison, and dons his shield and club. He grabs a bowl and lines up. Stew. Stew, Stew, stew. When was the last time I had that?
She fills all of your bowls up to the brim, smiling as she does so. The LT (OOG Like L. T. ) gives you a piece of the warm bread she was baking in the coals. "A Winehand family recipe, berries and all." She'd like to say. From when the Winehand family was still back in Zilargo, made with berries and nuts its sweet taste was something to be enjoyed. She didn't make it often, but when she did you better get it before it is gone.
Sgt. Lorand asks of Kash, "Do you have any of that cheese you're always going on about? Would really like some shredded in this stew here. If you can manage, Private."

Isuzu falls into line with the others, when her turn comes around, takes her stew and finds a place to sit down and quickly eats... then cleans up after herself in regards to bowl and spoon, etc. always being careful to every including her surrounding as she found it.
After his mage hand returns with his bowl of soup he will rummage around in one of his pouches and pull out a smaller piece of cheese and cut a few pieces off in to his bowl before sending it back to the Sergeant with his mage hand.
"Good thing we're not going to be out here much longer, I am starting to run low on that Sergeant." and he'll dig in to his soup and bread.

Sylrie Caldamus
Sylrie settles in with bowl and bread, eating with what appears to be deeply seated noble habits, sipping from his spoon gently, tearing bread in small bites, making sure not to spill or drip but still wiping his mouth on occasion. All the while though he has the map laid out in front of him, trying to discern what the fastest and easiest trek to the creek would be. But blast, where were they to begin with! He wished he'd paid more attention on the way here, still, he had faith in his ability to figure this out. He nudged the compass with his foot and watched the dial rock as he sipped another spoonful of this delicious soup...
OOC: I am assuming at some point a survival check might be needed. I'll go ahead and take care of that now if you wish: 7 (Sylrie has a fair amount of pride, so wouldn't ask for help initially)
"Aye, another couple days on patrol, Private and we'll be back at Faderock. Are all of you in a hurry to get back to groundskeeping and drills?" The Sarge says with a laugh. Knowing that NO ONE in their right mind wants to go back to base and KP or take care of whatever the Colonel had in mind for the young warriors. "Sylrie, once you're done eating we will go over the map together and I want to hear your plan for getting to Stickler's Creek. The rest of you lot, get the horses ready and clean camp. No trace of our numbers, no trace of our presence."

Johnathon happily eats the stew, and is surprised that it tastes so good. He's been eating berries and such from nature this whole trip. Did this always taste so great? Wow! I Mean, Yes sir! after chowing down, Johnathon cleans up his things.
The midday sun was hiding behind some white and fluffy cumulus clouds, the blue sky and the 6 of the 12 moons of Eberron that can be seen in the sky with the Ring of Syberis are in full view. None of the moons are in their full position. Therendor, Rhaan, Olarune, Zarantyr, Aryth, and Lharvion are in their all in the waxing position. The rest of Eberron's many moons cannot be seen due to cloud cover or the brightness of the sky.
As camp is packed up and everyone is getting ready to go Lt. Winehand rides her mastiff over to Sylrie's horse. "Okay, lead us to our destination, Private."
((OOG I really don't know the astrological positions of the many moons of Eberron. So, because the internet is awesome I found a chart some beautiful nerd made! She listens to the plans, nods at the LT's decisions. She's never been one to be jealous about command roles. In line for soup she pokes fun (literally) at Kashkaval's floating soup bowl, gratefully takes her soup and bread, and sits near Sylrie, where she can see the map. She takes a moment with her eyes closed over her food to say a few words quietly, touches her forehead, then opens here eyes and eats with relish. In the army, (as they did at home), you eat like you aren't guaranteed another meal.
If Sylrie looks at her while they eat, she just smiles kindly and nods. She likes maps.
After, she cleans her mess kit, helps to knock out the fire and dispose of the ashes (digs a small pit). Then she digs another trench for what the horses may have deposited during the break, fills it and fills it in. Then she sees to her horse, branded QA87, that she calls Mustard for his dun coloring.
Finally she stands at rest next to Mustard, saddled and ready, pack on the horse, attentive to the next order. She's made small talk with the unit all during this time, friendly jesting and carrying on, but attentive to her duties.
She'll mount up and guide Mustard into her customary spot at the back of the line.
Give me a wisdom check, Kora. Just wanting to see if you can retain the layout of the map to your memory. Could be helpful in the future.

Sylrie Caldamus
Sylrie had definitely regarded Kora as she looked over the map, but didn't say anything, instead taking the time to commit to memory what he could. He was glad the LT had liked his plan, but now it was time to enact it, he grabbed his gear and used nearby shrubs and brush to obscure tracks. Once everything was clean and tidy he mounted his horse, Aurala's Pride, and raised his voice to give command "Alright everyone, we ride close, tight, heads on a swivel. Follow close behind me, diamond formation. Lets go!"
OOC: Because not all of us have played together I felt like adding my character name to the top of the posts would help everyone relate which character this related too. That way we don't "have" to put the characters name in the post if we don't want to, and folks don't have to question who it was. Also, I have never been in the military, nor do I know know anything about cavalry formations, but Diamond Formation could refer to a real thing (I am guessing), or could just be a code name we use for a specific formation that makes sense.
