Mazin takes the first watch. He takes out the Dryad figure he was working on earlier and continues on the piece. Between watching for any signs of trouble (perception 14 from chat) and worried glances to Wazzok, he wasn't concentrating on the piece as well as he should have. (Woodcarving check from before) It just did not truly capture the essence of the creature. Oh well, he still wasn't finished yet.
((If he doesn't notice anything on his watch, he will wake up the next person. ))
Mazin's carving efforts are frustrated by the multiple tasks of keeping the evening watch and maintaining a vigil over the still unconscious form of his half-orc companion. Additionally, while the huge warrior has always felt comfortable and at peace in the wilds, there is something disquieting about this marshland that the goliath can not quite work out, but that none-the-less keeps him slightly on edge. Having put away his carving and tools, a flutter amidst the darkness near the dead harpy's tree-stump lair grabs the barbarian's attention towards the end of his watch, but a sudden surge of concern for his comatose ally causes the giant-kin to check on the priestess's condition and when the goliath's attention returns to the surrounding night, he senses nothing amiss and eventually settles in to rest beside the campfire.
Altani is awoken for her midnight shift and passes her watch without distrubance, marvelling at the star-filled vista overhead, but also feeling a cold disquiet, almost as though the centaur were being watched by something unseen. Scrutinising the surrounding landscape reveals nothing untoward however, and so the warrior finishes her shift and wakes Kestrell to take his turn. As the equine woman settles down to sleep, she is somewhat surprised to find a sense of peace and calm descend over her, easing her jittery nerves and allowing her to drift off into an undisturbed slumber.
Kestrell's dawn-watch is a cold one as a wet, clingy dew settles across the area. The campfire is little more than embers now, providing just enough light in the pre-dawn morning for the sorcerer to again study the bright metal decanter. On a whim, the half-elven arcanist uncaps the container and tips the seemingly empty vessel over the dying fire. To his suprise, not only does the decanter produce a steady stream of clear water, but as Kestrell holds the container inverted over the embers, it continues to produce water, pouring forth an unrelenting stream of liquid that must far exceed the internal dimensions of the decanter itself. Having once heard of such enchanted objects before, the sorcerer is confident that what he holds is in fact a decanter of endless water.
A relatively cool morning greets the waking companions as the sun's first light rises above the surrounding wetlands. The sucking sounds of fauna moving about in the mud and soggy grounds is already interspersed with the sounds of insects buzzing about their business. The long, serpentine forms of voracious eels can be seen flickering through the murky waters that surround the group's rocky sanctuary.

Kestrell waits for the group to rise, greets them and then excitedly says: "I figured out what this decanter does. It will give us water! Watch!"
Kestrell says "Stream" and then fills up his waterskin. "Now check this out!" Kestrell says "Fountain" and pours 5 gallons of water out of the decanter.
"Stand back!" Kestrell launches a Fire Bolt at a nearby bush:
14
After the bush catches fire, Kestrell shouts "GEYSER!!!!!" and points the decanter at the burning bush.
Altani, with blinking sleep filled eyes, backs away from the water being splashed about and the burning bush.
"Yes.. that is a nice discovery there Kestrell. How did Wazzock fare..is she fine?" says the Paladin as she wanders over to the half-orcs body, "Has she woken yet?"

The damp bush across the water barely smolders from Kestrell's firebolt, but the geyser hits it with sufficient force to both douse the paltry flames and send leaves and twigs flying. A nearby small lizard scampers away in alarm.
As Altani looks down at the still unconscious form of Wazzock, she can barely detect the steady but shallow rise and fall of the previously hardy woman's chest. The priestess's skin appears pale and drawn, and should anyone lay a hand on her skin, they notice that she is frightfully cold to the touch.

Altani takes the decanter and has a drink of the refreshing waters before handing it back.
"So we need to get ready, break camp and head back to Cypress. And we need to make sure Wazzock is going to be fine."
The concerned centaur walks over to the injury half-orc and bends down, placing her hands on her. She closes her eyes and says a quite prayer to Mielikki, green light skinning from her hand.
OCC: Assuming we long rested I will Lay on Hands heal Wazzock for 3 points.

Laying her hands on the fallen Wazzock's cold skin, Altani summons the healing warmth of Mielikki and channels the divine energy into her stricken ally. However, while Wazzock's breathing seems to steady further and her complexion regain a little of its former colour, the half-orc's skin remains icy cold to the touch and the priestess fails to regain consciousness.

"We need to keep moving. So how are we going to get Wazzock out of here and to Cypress? We could tie her to my back, or is Mazin willing to carry her? We also need to get back across this river, which I see no way other than to jump or ford once again."
The centaur pauses for a second. "We could always use some meat to distract the eels before some of use ford the river."
