I have 5 players and am looking for 1 additional player for this test run Pbp campaign. The game style will be epic fantasy, the content will be RP heavy and the setting is a homebrewed region set in Faerun in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. Please be advised that while I am an experienced DM, I am fairly new to DND Beyond, have not purchased any associated materials (though I have access to all of the core materials in hardcopy).
Please feel free to browse the content below and/or message me if you are interested in playing. I will be changing the game to private once all players are confirmed. Players will be required to create a 1st level character from core materials who is of a mixed racial heritage.
Welcome to the campaign! Let's get started with those ability rolls shall we?

Life is a song, beginning at birth and only silenced with the final chord. Strive always to make the whole song, not just the lyrics and music, more beautiful. Destroy no music or instrument, nor stop a singer before the tune is done. Listen to the world around as well as filling it with your own sound. One singer's music is another's noise, so still no bad music if its making be joyful. Spread the teaching of song and musicianship always. Sing to Milil every day. Music is the most precious thing folk can create—so encourage its training, use, and preservation at all times and in all possible ways. Awaken a love of song in all folk you can, and offer its performance freely around campfire or on the trail. Cease not in your own seeking for new tunes, new techniques, and new instruments to master. - Dogma of Milil
When ancient kingdoms simmer on the edge of war, it is a small group of varied individuals of mixed heritage and alliances that will decide the final outcome.
Level 1-20 Campaign for 2-6 characters, each of whom should be of a mixed race/class type, e.g. 1/2 elf, genasi, tiefling, sorcerrer (draconic heritage)
2,000 years ago, the Free Northlands were a vastly different place. A number of powerful kingdoms held sway over the region and while an unlikely peace had lasted for previous centuries, tensions had arisen more recently in light of the differences betweent these great powers. Foremost among the powers of the North Vast (as it was then known), was the Kingdom of Leyinthalar, a mighty elvish nation ruled from the Crystaline Towered City of Quilinost at the centre of the mighty forest of the Green Deep. Here all elves thrived and were welcome, though the Moon Elven royal family of Celestaethar had ruled for a milenium. The powerful and ancient gold dragon Tyrakxithos held sway over communities of benevolent dragons and their dragonborn citizens nestled deep in their fortresses within the Dragon Maws. The Yuanti kingdown known as the Jade Empire exerted great influence from their cities along the Southern reaches of the Silver River. The noble Triton Queen Illieranda kept the peace within the vast inland sea known as the Sea of Sceptars (where now the Kingsholme Lake and Pemberlin Plains lie) home to the powerful Kingdom of Tritons and allied sea elves and merfolk. And newest, and almost certainly the least powerful of these kingdoms, was the Heartstar Alliance - a human, gnome, dwarven, centaur and lizardman conglomerate of small citystates in the centre of the North Vast. `While the Elvish and Dragon kingdoms were perhaps the mightiest, they were also the most benevolent, and so peace had reigned for many centuries. While the Yuanti were ever treacherous and hateful towards their neighbours, their might was lesser and so they preyed mainly on the scattered goblinoid and orc tribes, as well as the Lizard folk of the Heartstar Alliance, which kept an everpresent vigil against the serpentine threat to the South. The noble seafolk of the Sea of Sceptars kept mainly apart from the landfaring kingdoms, having their hands full with a Sahuagin threat based in the depths of the Western Sea and extraplanar incursions from the Elemental Plane of Water.
20 Eleint - 509 Dale Reckoning (DR), The South-Eastern North Vast, Heartstar Kingdom, Frontier Town of Ambersilt
ACT 1 - Whispers of War
You are a disparate collection of interesting individuals, currently being held in a Heartstar Alliance watchtower, apparently under suspician of being spies from one of the neighbouring kingdoms, at least from what you can tell from the questions you have been asked by the watch. Tensions seem to be high between the Alliance and their neighbouring states right now, though why you do not exactly know. You have come into the custody of the Silverstars (the armed forces of the Alliance) over the last day or two, having been picked up by vigilant patrols. You have undergone cursory questioning at the hands of the local Watch Sergeant, Briston, a human of middle years and an honest, gruff, no nonsense demeanor. While not being mistreated (you recieved a plain meal late last night after your questioning), you seem to have been forgotten and left to wait in your holding cells, while the watchmen and women are occupied elsewhere. You have just awakened the next morning after a fitful sleep, your backs slightly stiff from the thin straw pallets prisoners are forced to sleep on.
A young woman of average height, with light blue skin, striking silver eyes and hair that seems to billow despite a lack of breeze, sits in a cell (5'x10') adjacent to two rows of other cells, 1 of which is occupied by an older halfling man. In the cell next to the halfling is the hulking form of a pale skined, incredibly muscular half-orc, a single long braid of white hair falling from an otherwise shaved head. One of the other cells is occupied by a much taller, hardy man with greenish skin and deep blue eyes and hair. In the next cell, a tall, dashing 1/2 elf with pale skin and beguiling smile leans against the cell bars, tapping out a percusive beat on bars with a small spoon. The next cell houses a powerfully builit blonde haired man with striking features, who seems to be calmly sitting on the small seat within his cell, muttering some mantra to himself repeatedly.
The wizened old halfling man is dressed in common but colourful (mainly yellows and greens) clothing, wears a perpetual grin and sports a grey goatee and topknot. He smiles at you all as you awaken and says cheerfully, "Well met and a very good morning to you!"

Hey Wolfy911. No, i'd rather all characters just roll with it stat wise (no pun intended). As this is a RP narrative heavy game, min/maxing is not a consideration. I like my players to just create a character that they can 'get into' rather than worry overly about efficiency, etc.

Yeah, you can totally roll a bard (or any other class), though FYI currently the other confirmed players have selected an air genasi rogue, water genasi fighter, assimar paladin and a bard (race not specified). I absolutely have no issue with multiple classes in a party, as any mixture of players can create fun and engaging party dynamics. Also, while 'covering the bases' is often advisable in D&D, it's not absolutely necessary. I'd just go with whatever character you find interesting and worthwhile playing. :D
