Satisfied with the performance Rycider will now set her sights on tracking down the halfling. She will return to the first floor and check on the talc she left around the front door. She will then do a methodical search floor by floor, using anything longer than it is wide to randomly swish through the air, aware that the little beast is probably invisible.
“Let me know what you see on the third floor. The green stone is fine. Would you like to take Petunia? She has quite a nose on her.” Making Petunia appear once more.
Wes will spend the time to ritually identify 6 of the mystery potions.
Tanakir and Aradurk find a half dozen tables among the second and fifth floors that can be used to barricade the front door. Neither of the windows on the sixth or seventh floor are directly above the front door.
Rycider finds the talc undisturbed, and doesn't swish into an invisible halfling at any point over the next hour.
Wes spends the hour casting a ritual to learn the properties of some of the potions he had found. The potion of clear liquid floating at the top of the container is a potion of flying. The sliver inside of the two transparent potions are the nails of giants; these are a potion of hill giant strength and a potion of fire giant strength. The potion of apparent liquified iron is a potion of invulnerability. The two potions with bits of fur, claws, and teeth in them are each a potion of animal friendship. Lastly, the potion with liquid expanding and contracting is a potion of diminution.
After an hour of waiting and searching, a tremendous bang alerts you to the front door. The orcs have resumed their place at the battering ram, and have started slamming it into the door of the tower, which seems to be holding its own.
"Damned gnomelicking wizard," Fumbles voices over the green sending stones. "I'm so close. Whatever is going on down there, this is overtime. Start falling back and hold the orcs until the vault is open. I'm so close to figuring this out."
Karst speaks quietly into the green stone "Fumbles, if they break through the door I am going to go and defend the breach, my strength will be needed there."

OOC: Tanakir - it would certainly be possible, but difficult. Might require a Strength check to get enough oomph on it to sling it toward the battering ram at the front door.
"Someone give me a hand, I'm going to try to burn their ram."
Tanakir will gather several large pieces of furniture on the 6th floor, set them on fire, and repeatedly hurl them down at the battle ram in an attempt to catch it ablaze.
Wes makes his way up to the sixth floor window. “ If you’re throwing things then you might want to try one of these. Handing out the two potions of giant strength to whomever will take them. Also, I can help with the fire part.
OOC: looking out the window how many orcs are battering the door? A sizable number and Wes will send a fireball at it.
Aradurk thinks and sighs into the green crystal, "There is an unknown element - the original intel suggested there are creatures encased in ice on the top floor. I kept a width berth from the doors, caution being the better part of valor. However, in the face of all this now, it might be worth checking out."

Wes Fireball Damage:26
The tables thrown from the window by Tanakir don't seem to do much more than irritate the orcs at the battering ram, which continues to have little to no effect on the front door of the tower. Wes arrives at the window, and seeing the situation extends his hand and launches a silent line of flame downward. It strikes the ground and erupts, rocking the tower and incinerating at least a half dozen orcs and sending many more packing. The battering ram itself catches ablaze, and the orcs decide against returning to it.
From the window, the ogre can be seen motioning something in the distance toward the tower, and in a few short moments, the structure in the distance reveals itself to be a large tower on wheels, slowly rolling on wheels toward the base of the tower beneath the 6th floor window. Orcs begin to grab crude ladders from its side.
The front door turns transparent for Karst, and he watches the orcs abandon the flaming battering ram.
Wes rains fire down on the siege tower as it draws near. His bolts of fire do not catch the tower ablaze, but weaken it significantly, to the point that it crumbles into a heap outside the tower door. The orcs don't find any more success with their ladder approach; the ladders are comically unstable, and after two orcs fall from them, dying on impact, that strategy is abandoned as well.
The ogre speaks into the red sending stones again, "Bring in the catapults! We take back the tower, or we die on its walls."
A few moments go by before three crude catapults roll into view. They come to a stop a short distance from the tower, aimed toward the seventh floor window, and orcs begin to line up, fitting themselves into the seat of the catapult as another orc mans each one, preparing to launch them.
