The answer is indeed yes. I'm quite pumped for this.

There are currently less people interested in the first two campaigns than the third one, so if you want less competition I'd say do one of the first two. Slots are not first-come, first-serve and are instead judged by the strength of the submission (I'd prefer to put together a cohesive party in all three campaigns rather than have people largely duplicating each other, for instance). My recommendation though is to pick the one that interests you the most and that you'd most want to play :)
I still have a TON of prep-work on my side for the setting I need to get done, and that takes time, so it doesn't make sense to close recruitment until I have enough done to actually get started. My current estimate is first week of July I'll select players and create the campaign threads, and give characters time to introduce themselves to each other before the action starts, and second week of July I'll begin the game in earnest.
Out of interest, what do you project the reason to be for people being in the wrong place at the wrong time? What do you think is going to bring us together and make us click in the party?

My initial thought would be some sort of public gathering. Could be something like a convention (this was my initial thought), but could also be something like you all happen to be on the same tour group in the aquarium, or that there's some sort of event on-campus at UIC. When I see what people submit, that would help guide the starting location. If you have any ideas, I'm all for you contributing them as well!
This is getting tough. I don't know what to play, because I don't know what backstory to have, because I don't know which thread to lean toward, because I don't know what kind of character I want to play....

I'm a friend of Cat's, just letting you know I'll be posting an application to Thread 1 sometime tonight within the next 4 - 5 hours hopefully. It's REALLY hard to find character pictures for modern stuff. x.x Most of the people that I've found look like Seal Team Six special ops soldiers or assassins, which feels completely out of flavor for wrong place, wrong time.
Is there anything in particular that you're looking for in new applications? I know you wrote "the strength of their submissions and how well I think they'd work together", but I was curious about any other details that could help solidify my sheet.

Have a look over the other submissions, and pick something that would not only work with them but also doesn't largely duplicate them. Since you and Cat are friends, perhaps you can work each other into your backstories; something like that adds strength to the submission as well. In general, the more work you put into your submission, the better the first impression :)
NOTE: I didn't do the inventory yet. I'll be sure to do it ASAP and ping you when I do however!

Special Abilities Empathy. Half of Lily's proficiency bonus is added for any Wisdom or Charisma check that doesn't already use Lily's proficiency bonus. Martial Arts Training. Lily's unarmed strikes deal a d4 of damage. When she uses the Attack action with an unarmed strike on Lily's turn, Lily can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action. Body of Work (Creative Background). Lily receives free lodging and food of a modest or comfortable standard as long as Lily is on hand for the display. In addition, Lily is typically well-liked in areas where her creations have been showcased.
"I never wanted all of this attention..." - Lily Chan, Winner of the 2009 Annual Bay Harbor Arts Festival
Shy and Introverted. Lily Chan, standing at a meek 5'6", is the epitome of a shy young adult. Averted dark, brown eyes center the girl's soft cheekbones and narrow, pointed nose. Her thin eyebrows are akin to the smooth strokes of her paintings, with her lips a salmon pink. Lily's brown hair parts above her forehead to lace back into a simple ponytail. A pink star hangs from her left earlobe. The right is bare of any earrings however.
Simply Dressed.Lily wears the barest essentials, just enough to keep her warm and decent. A simple white shirt with dark spots covers her modest chest, with a pearl necklace hanging around her neck for good luck. A pair of skinny jeans cling tight to Lily's legs, revealing a bit more curve than she would've liked. Her jeans end in a pair of cheap sneakers.
Blending With The Crowd. Lily does not carry around large portfolios of grand paintings, quite the opposite. She carries a black backpack over her shoulders, giving her the appearance of a college student. The backpack holds, amongst other things, pens, paper, her tablet, and her custom-made, high-quality drawing notebook.
Personality Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws:
Personality Traits
"I do this for myself, and no one else." Lilly lost her trust of other people after the Bay Harbor Arts Festival, and refuses to allow herself to be hurt again. This makes it incredibly hard for her to reach out to others, yet alone trust them.
Ideals
"Art is allowing your heart to run free." As a member of the creative arts, she strongly believes that the way to freedom and true happiness is through an expression of oneself. This openness to expression makes Lilly very open-minded and receptive to new ideas (except involving opening up).
Bonds
"I hate her, but I can't let her go or I'll be alone." Lilly holds a very strong grudge against Elsie Conway, who was once her friend and the one who encouraged her to join the art competition. She's been bitter with her ever since, but she's never let her go because she's the last 'friend' that she has.
Flaws
"You're all the same." Lilly's pain and inability to let go of the past distorts her view of the present. It's very easy for her to group people together into one category, even if it doesn't make sense or is logical.
Background:
Ever since she was a young age, Lilly has been fascinated with art. At the age of 6, she enrolled in her first art class, and by the age of 16, she was lined up for several scholarships to many prestigious universities. Her best friend during that time was Elsie Conway, attending the same high school with her.
Up until that point, Lilly's art was always personal. Her classmates and teachers saw it of course, and loved it, and she had to send copies to her colleges to show. But never was it on public display before.
Elsie noticed this, and brought it up to Lilly. Lilly didn't like the idea. She was always shy about her work, and despite being quite good, hated presenting it to others. Elsie pushed, and pushed however, and eventually Lilly gave in and submitted her work to the 2009 Annual Bay Harbor Arts Festival.
To Lilly's surprise, her work did quite well. So well in-fact, that she ended up winning the competition and took home the grand prize, a scholarship to the college she wanted. She was showered with attention, enough to make her cheeks go rosy with embarrassment.
As she would soon find out though, it was too much attention. The Bay Habor Arts was robbed, and someone had gotten a hold of her contact information. She began recieving calls, disturbing ones, death threats. Whatever joy Lilly had gained was sapped away in an instant, and for the next six months, she spent her days looking over her shoulder until she flew off to college.
During that time, she learned how to stick to the shadows, blend away with the crowd, and even took martial arts lessons to protect herself. It was the most terrifying time of her life, and she blamed Elsie all for it.
Several years pass, and Lilly returned back to Chicago, with a degree and many comforting job opportunities. She was still quite wary about returning back here, especially that the police never found her stalker. She still held her grudge against Elsie, but for some reason, could never let her go.
Only time would tell what would happen to her now. Time, and a handful of unfortunate circumstances of course.
Alright! I've updated my submission to reflect this and also added the Sanity score. Toeing a dangerous line here. :P
5% (1 stat point) isn't going to change much... right? right? (says Cat, as she fails all the sanity saving throws by 1 and her character goes mad faster than everyone else >.>)

I'm less concerned about base classes, and care more about what proficiencies there are. Two people choosing the same base class can end up growing in completely different directions, as the base class is mostly what ability score you're focusing on the most. Just like Paladins and Sorcerers both focus on Charisma, but they serve completely different roles in a party.
Sweet, awesome! I'll look over it regardless though. A Strong Martial Artist is rather tempting. I'm assuming there's no multiclassing in the future right? Since there isn't a Multiclassing Proficiencies Table or a Multiclassing Prerequisite Table?

At level 3, you choose an Advanced Class. Treat the Advanced Class like a cleric domain or fighter archetype or other class specialization -- it isn't something you multiclass into but rather just adds additional things to your regular level up. I could try to work out multiclassing rules if they don't exist and someone is interested in them, but I'm not going to put in design work that I don't need to do.
Certain backgrounds may grant you specific starting equipment. In addition to that equipment, you can purchase things using your Wealth score, decreasing it as necessary if purchasing more expensive things. If you're purchasing something particularly exotic (such as an automatic firearm, which would normally be illegal), add justification for you having that item in your backstory. Don't feel the need to purchase a bajillion mundane things "just in case" -- grab what's important to the character or what you think you need most, and use the On-Hand Objects rules on the Wealth page for the rest.
Remember that On-Hand rolls cannot be used on items whose value exceeds 10, and depending on circumstances I may disallow things whose value is below 10 as well unless there is good justification for the item to actually be on-hand. For example, a revolver has a value of 6, however if you were living by yourself I would not allow an On-Hand roll to pick one up in your house or apartment. However, if you were living with someone else, their revolver might be in the house or apartment (although taking it may be considered to be theft, depending on your relationship).
Personality traits: I'm a bit o' a rogue, ye ken. On the other hand, I'm th' sort tae help little auld ladies across th' street, an' I dinna' e'en flirt wi' them (much).
Ideals: Beauty, Creativity, Freedom (Chains are meant tae be broken--o'er th' heads o' those who would forge them), Change, Nae Limits, Fairness, Independence, Charity
Flaw: I'm a sucker for a pretty lass, I am.
As usual, I have far too many ideals and no bond. I hope you don't mind, and if you do I hope you can help me fix it.

Major goals: learn Welsh, learn the flute, get a boat.

Ooh okay, gotcha! That makes a lot more sense.
I think it would be really cool to have multiclassing rules personally. Most of the balance is laid out already by 5E, so it's just mostly switching some names around and writing a few extra things. I'd imagine you could multiclass into another core class (like Tough or Dedicated), then pick up a second Advanced Class through that Core Class if you wanted. There'd be some prerequisites (ex. Strong would require Str 13), and some might gain extra stuff (ex. an extra skill for Smart).
It exposes the game to more potential to being exploited yeah, but I'd definitely be interested if you do create the supplement!

Hello there,
If i can get a spot, and because I am always use to discuss I want to play and I have one option for all the 3 campaigns.
I can fill the gap where needed.
I was thinking on a Charismatic Hero for group 1, something like a Drummer of an Hard-Rock band
OR
A Smart Hero for group 2, something like a mentalist that will be advance along psionic powers
OR
A Tough/Strong Hero for group 3, a BIG minion :)
@Skizzerz, If you have any preference for one of this I will go ahead with the sheet
