Ah. What're you planning on taking the monk into in the future? We might go down totally different routes.

Description:
"Nothing is softer or more pliable than water, yet nothing can resist it."
Tayla, despite sharing most of the physical features of a humanoid, clearly is not human. Her figure is toned, skin watery, almost as if she's made of water yet has veritable form and tangibility. Despite being almost see-through, no form of skeleton can be seen underneath. Her hair shares the same watery tint as her body, flowing like the ocean's tide down her shoulders.
Her dress sense is flagrantly immodest, like many other genasi. A simple breast wrap around her breasts, and a loose tied skirt is all she wears, bands and scarf-like attachments of cloth adding flair and flamboyancy to her movement. Simple sandals are worn on her feet, and her jewelry seems almost religious instead of decorative, bangles and beads a common theme.
Her movement is fluid, like water, and strangely appears slow, because of the smoothness of her steps. Her body warps and shifts with the wind and impact, almost elastic before strikes and almost yielding and cleaving when receiving them.
Background:
Tayla was the inadvertent child of a quick, fleeting romance between a doomed spirit of nature and an innocent human woman. A bastard child with nowhere to hide or run to, and her appearance not at all allowing her to be accepted, she took to the streets, learning to fend and fight for herself. Soon she was picked up by a circus as a sideshow in and of herself, and a dancer, and not treated the best she could be, not at all. A rough life seemed to be a doom to the end of her days.
Disaster struck when the War began. No one would pay to see a circus - fighting meant money was tight. Even then she was one of the last to go, wandering the streets of Pel, with nothing but a little bit of fighting knowledge by her side.
And so she set forth into a new world. Where will it take her? Where will she go? There is only her mind and her fists to guide her through the horror that the world, just like the waves and wind, innocuous though they may seem, wreaks upon itself.
Mechanical Background: Entertainer
You can always find a place to perform, usually in an inn or tavern but possibly with a circus, at a theater, or even in a noble’s court. At such a place, you receive free lodging and food of a modest or comfortable standard (depending on the quality of the establishment), as long as you perform each night. In addition, your performance makes you something of a local figure. When strangers recognize you in a town where you have performed, they typically take a liking to you.

In 5e, unaligned means you are too stupid to understand morals. You act on instinct and have no concept of good, evil, or even what morals are. I believe the word you are looking for is neutral.
I'm hyper-opposed to alignments, but if you really need a tag, (which I don't put much weight on) I'd go with Chaotic Neutral. Rest assured, I'm not a typical Chaotic Neutral "that guy", or "that girl" for that matter - it's just that the concept of alignment really rubs me up the wrong way. I'll break it down for you: Neutral meaning neither inclined to the typical good nor bad side of things, chaotic meaning inconsistent in choices, therefore not restricting those choices. The way I envision playing Tayla, you'll probably put me in Neutral or Chaotic Good looking from a traditional viewpoint, but I will put this up there for consideration.

You made it so complicated silly Cat. :P I don't think alignments are gonna play a huge factor, just a tiny little optional detail. Granted, I typically don't use alignments either, but I'm cool with just dropping the closest thing and just playing my character.
EDIT: Not hating on you or anything! Just wanted to point that out for the future.
Consider me Chaotic Good then haha. But I'll still stick resolutely and firmly to the fact that alignments can go dig themselves a grave in 3.x where they belong :P

Dang Cat, the sass on you. XD I wonder what it would look like if the alignments buried themselves. Lawful Good would bury himself to save his people or his friends. Chaotic Evil would try to bury someone else but he trips inside and hits his head.
I too end up pretty much not using alignment in my campaigns really, if anything it's just shorthand for me to remember what inclinations different NPCs may have. I've got a player in my Out of the Abyss campaign who I'm pretty sure never even picked an alignment for her warlock and I'm fine with that, I've had disagreements with other friends on what falls under certain alignments and I think keeping them as minimal as possible is just simpler.
Anyway, I have my character sheet on DiceCloud so far minus some roleplay stuff: https://dicecloud.com/character/44tL2Z73Y5zKSJyqE I'll probably at that stuff after (it was late when I filled it out) and I'm on mobile so I'll translate it into a more forum-ready post when I can, probably tonight after work.

I believe the above is correct. I remember only wolves and other non-sentient beasts have the unaligned tag, so neutral would work yes.
While I'm waiting for my character review though, how are the rest of ya? Is this your first time playing DnD?
